As far as crank baits go, I usually start with the tackle warehouse clearance section until I built up my confidence. I topically look for 10+ diving cranks because your bites will be coming close to, if not, on the bottom. Then you can always raise/drop the top of your rod to increase or decrease the dive of the crank bait. Definitely my go to bait. I just wish the hardware didn’t rust so easily.
