People dont realize that if we consider earth as space ship, the atmosphere is actually an advanced energy shield that protect us when travelling the space. Or is the earth an actual space ship ?. Are we going somewhere ?
Deflector dish?
@@bipolarspock6145 Better. It uses the projectile energy against itself. If you want to make a satellite that can withstand cosmic radiation, suns radiation, debris, meteorite, without using any energy, moving part. can repair itself (yes, our atmosphere can repair itself, our ozone layer which was destroyed back in industrial era are now repairing). It would be the earth. Earth, is your epitome of the best space ship you can ever create. It even had its own solar panel, trees and planktons.
Yes we are. The Solar System is rotating the Galaxy
The earth is a spaceship, coddiwompling along.
We are a satellite to our sun, just tagging along for the ride.

By this type of video or contant
our way of thinking changes
And our perception about things become
Very very filtered and clear
And we know something that is nearly 100 % correct
And by knowing correct things we be becomes confident
And by confidence success isn't so far
So thank for this bro🙂🙂🙏
Love from india 🇮🇳🙏🙏🙂
This info should be obligated education at schools, to realise how small and fragile this area is that sustains life as we know it. Comparison with distance to the moon is eye opening! 👍
Man...your videos are very well illustrated and explained.
The best and simple explanation I found on youtube.
This is the best RUclips channel I’ve discovered this year!!
You make great animations and provide only useful info. I really love your work. Keep it up!

You're subscription has been really worth it for me. Thanks 💯👍
Glad you included the relative distance of the Moon. Too many Moon landing conspiracy theorists try to make their case by asking why we haven't returned to the Moon if we have rockets that can go to and from the ISS. Huge, huge difference in what's involved.
lmao, they don't know how many billions of dollars it cost for a single apollo mission, and how dangerous it is.
@@racegroundbreaking82 why its dangerous??
If its that hard why they did it at first place just wondering

During the descent of Apollo 11, they got 2 errors in the guidance computer. And they were on the last bit of fuel when they landed.
Richard Nixon even had a speech written in case Armstrong and Aldrin died. You can find it here: www.archives.gov/files/presidential-libraries/events/centennials/nixon/images/exhibit/rn100-6-1-2.pdf

Excellent video Jared! Keep up the good work.
Excellent, to the point explanation..
I was wondering about this for a while now, it's really hard to find satisfying diagrams of this, thank you
Wow man all your videos are awesome. Exact picture is represented in each of these very clearly.
Bro I’m honestly on like my 5th video of you and all I can say is I love broski Preciate the hard work much love🙏🏾💯
Looking at the size and distance of earth and moon it doesn't seem like they would be effected by its gravity, yet the moon revolve around the earth, amazing actually everything is amazing when we look at it with curiosity
"Unless you are an astronaut, flying on an airplane is probably the highest you've ever been". Dead wrong!
thats why theres the word "probably"

Excellent video, thank you! I never knew about the things happening in the stratosphere and the Karman-line was entirely new to me. Can you make an addition that tells us how dense the air is from bottom to top?
As we go higher up, Air density reduces rapidly at first and then slowly. 50% of the air is withing 5.5kms from sea level only, so if you are at the top of Mount everest, almost 70% of the air molecules would be below you. 99.9% of air is present upto the stratosphere from the sea level, rest mesosphere, thermosphere and exosphere only have less than 0.1% of air.
Short and sweet, full of interesting TID bits

I thought this channel is bad then now I've watched all your videos!
Thanks for watching Andres
Thank you
Awesome video
Thanks God, somebody explained it finally as scaled..
It may also be noted that the layers described in the video represent only one of the existing divisions of the atmosphere. For example, there is also the ionosphere or the neutrosphere that overlaps with other layers. The entire atmosphere basically consists of air, which becomes thinner and thinner with increasing distance from the earth. The division into layers according to different points of view is of course useful, but not mandatory.
Cos the viewers are not all native E. speaker, so your voice made your awesome vids go beyond your borders

1:18 : a small correction : the highest skydive took place in 2012, not in 2014 as you said
I thought so too, but I got curious and found this, which I hadn't heard of until now. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Eustace
Everytime you show a diagram of earth,it’s always ice-aged
So the Apollo missions to the Moon are the only astronauts who went into true vacuum.

could you also do a video on the day and night cycle.
Really how incredible is our universe
a to scale moon! great!
1:40 - There's one type of airplane that can go to the mesosphere, the U2 Spyplane. Also, a few balloons can go up there.
the U2 Spyplane ceiling height is about 24.4 km (80,000 ft) and the mesosphere starts at 80 km.. so the U2 *cannot* fly to the mesosphere

the Kerman line xD
So can you change the gasses in the atmosphere
Dear Jared,
Since I am working as a pilot, and we are always flying on the edge of the troposphere and tropopause, I was wondering if there is any major difference regarding radiation if I am flying in a higher troposphere or lower tropopause.
It would be nice to know that when I am choosing my Flight Level.
Best regards!
perhaps an animation about how airplane landing gear works?
The highest I've ever been was at a house party in Colombia.
POV your watching it right now in class
when you say for example the mesosphere is 31 - 50 miles.. do you mean thats how high it is from the surface of the earth or from the stratosphere
🙌
since your into this kind of thing... maybe a video on how spacex works?
I believe now they're saying that a detectable layer of atmosphere reaches all the way to the orbit of the moon.
Imagine gravity of moon being so strong that it affects the ocean waves and gravity of sun so strong that it hold up earth much farther away!
We don't need to imagine it. We can calculate it, using the Cavendish Experiment.
Wow
wow
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Imagine Earth have rings
Actually new research has come in there is technically an atmosphere that goes farther than the moon
Was searching for you
Before this video I only know the stratosphere medisphere and the thermosphere
Explain about dc and ac genaration bro it will be useful for engineering student also please bro
0:42 the highest cruising alt is 45,000 ft
some business or private jets fly at 50,000ft
the concorde, a supersonic airliner, flew at 60,000 ft
the U2 spyplane flew at 70,000 ft
the Sr-71 flew at 80,000 to 90,000 ft
the space shuttle flew anywhere in low earth orbit so as the ISS
the apollo moon missions flew from parking- moon surface and back
the voyager is interstellar
compare that to the max cruising alt of a DC-3 which is only 23,000 ft
Can you please make a video of a Jedi Star fighter.
great suggestion
