By far the best explanation of solar and lunar eclipses. Easy to understand animations. It’s extremely difficult to make something look simple. And you nailed it. Thanks a lot man.

After watching about 15 videos on eclipse, finally I got my answer through your video..
While everyone else showed earth moving around it's orbit, you showed it on a plane which cleared my doubt about the nodal points.
Thanks a lot mate 👍 hope I'll be off your help some day.

If you ever revisit this topic, I hope you explain about the umbra and penumbra. Apparently a lot of people don't understand why the penumbra is so small. Another common misunderstanding is why the moon's shadow moves faster than the rotation of the Earth. I think too many diagrams explaining the solar eclipse don't show things at the proper scale. I'm glad you showed how extreme these scales are in your excellent video.
Thanks for making this and I hope you keep up the good work.

Blimey it must be rather heartening to have brought a number of levels of understanding to fellow dwellers of this Earth.
And without lifting a finger, have a bunch I think you prefer, a bunch more de temps en temps every few doz months or couple of years.
Thank you for your effort in enlightening some here.
Thank you personally for quietly being a decent bloke with your feet on the ground.
Let's hope that the future robot schoolmasters don't learn _all_ their tradecraft in presentation from certain squeakily effervescent media.
Now that I've been snottily English, I'd like to share my unique (it can't be but I've not encountered it anywhere online...) experience of the 1999 UK partial in London.
I was so entranced by the thousands of tiny partially-eaten images of the Sun on the pavement under a smallish tree ~ presumably the leaves were my Mylar glasses ~ that I even managed to drag the pub hard man and his accolytes out to enjoy the sheer magic too.
He's even bought me a pint or two since!
If you haven't been blessed by such wonderful help from nature, remember for next time.
    Many thanks, JP, Chelsea, London.

When you do a to scale model of the sun, earth, and moon with a large flashlight and small balls (I made some out of clay for a tiktok to disprove a flat earther’s claim that shadows don’t get smaller) you can clearly see the shadows that the objects cast. Keep in mind in reality, these are gigantic objects. I know flat earthers have a hard time comprehending the size of these celestial objects and that’s why y’all make such ignorant statements.
