I had a long association with this band although I was not actually a member. I saw their debut at the Palm Cove in Bradford..possibly 1981 0r 82...the original singer was called Dave Damnedwith Dom on guitar, George on bass and Phil on drums. They supported my band at the time, Raw at a gig in the Cathedral Centre, Bradford. Simon (Nogsy) Nolan by this time was the singer. Simon is a wonderful and compassionate human being as well as being an intellectual giant! He was and still is a close personal friend to this day. Little did I know that soon after the Cathedral Centre gig, both our singer, Liam and guitarist Mickey would defect from Raw and join Anti-system. Liam on Vox and Mickey on bass...Dom had asked me if I wanted to play bass but I turned it down and then two of our band then joined them! Eventually, Morbid Humour, who were almost the sister band, featuring Mick and Mark (Varik) Teale, kind of morphed into a completely new lineup for Anti-system. Mick and Mark Teale (Varik) lived in our house for a while where my band, Vegetable Section was based! But that's another story! This is classic , was fortunate to see original band in Bradford at an open air festival . kinda funny to see families open mouthed when they came on stage & 150 punks run to front & go nuts , Good times

just got the sad news mick teale ex anti system vocalist has finally died of cancer?body not found for over three weeks in his bedsit in Halifax I knowhe had heroin issues but all said n done his recorded legacy should be fondly remembered?

One of the great British HC records, dont think they took to true fast HC like the US, Finland, Italy... but this is fuckin great.
I think HC lives more up to what the brits made rather the US. More meaningful to me at least and powerful.
This 7” is a top-5 all-time for me. Fast, political, rages, nasty. I used to own it. Up there with the greats!
