    It's really rare to find someone who really get deep in restoration parts; someone may changes little things, but this guy has kept all the original bike parts. Good job, perfect bike, chill music.

    Did you have chain slip when used a new chain on the very worn freewheel and chainset ? The rake of the front fork and the “road path ends” for use with single speed or fixed , I think dates the frame to mid forties or early fifties. The hubs are Campagnolo. Good job 👍 👍

    What a great compendium of bike and components! Love the track style dropouts, with a derailleur mount !
    My only criticism is that the rear brake cable guides can scrape an inner thigh. But very beautiful and I'd like to know what frame brand it is.

    I recently restored an 80's bike. CroMoly frame. I did what you did. Scrape, prime then topcoat. Well, it was good looking. But, I accidentally bumped it on a furniture, and, the paint got chipped off. What a bummer. I spent more than 1K pesos on aerosols alone.
    I decided to strip it off again, and brought to a shop which does powder coats on almost anything. I spent only 400 pesos for it, and it could not be scratched even with a screwdriver. I am very happy with the result. I am hopeful that this will really last a lifetime.

    • @CoggieBike
      @CoggieBike  3 года назад

      Hi! We have Bike Skin to protect paint strips. If you apply them to areas vulnerable to bumps, it will be such a good protection. Be sure to heat them up before removing, coz it might strip the paint in the process of removal.

    I'm a fan of external cables routing, but to be honest, there's only one thing that I hate in these bikes - brake levers. If these lines would go any little bit higher, one could wrap them around the neck.
