i have watched 3 season of vikings
can't wait Lothbrok for prez!
If History would upload the last two full seasons,it would make me feel better about having to wait a whole year for the nxt one.Guess that's the price.Worth it

You can't just leave me with a trailer this amazing and then make me wait until 2015! Ughhh. So cruel.
The only thing I'd like to say is that I hope season 3 is a little more colorful than season 2. I felt that all throughout season 2 there was this constant gray-shade over everything which made the world feel very mute, in my opinion. However when I rewatch season 1 it's very colorful with shades of green, blue, and firey oranges and reds. I'm loving the color work of season 3 so far though; judging by this trailer! I hope it doesn't change. :)
it will be dark and thats why it feels grey and dark because back in that time period and location it was always dark and moody.
Jake Allard I'm sure it still rained a lot back then, The Scandinavian countries are surrounded by ocean water. Seattle is another great example. It rarely drops below freezing but that part of Washington always has a fucking cloud over it :D lol
also dark so it will fit their dark storyline sets the mood.

Rollo becomes first Duke Of Normandy, Ragnar is killed by the King of North Umbria, by being thrown into a snake pit after trying to outdo his son Byjorn Ironside who conquered France with just him and his mother and half brothers armies(who r much older, also It will be cool to see the vikings carrying Cheiftan Ivar the Boneless into battle on a shield) When Byjorn and his brothers hear about the the fate that befell their father, they form the Great Heathen Army, (so dubbed by the kings of Britania) the sole purpose to seek revenge for their father and perfume a blood eagle on the King of North Umbria which Ivar Succeeds in doing.

Holdin yes it's worth watching. Thrones is fantastic. Vikings is just based on real events and characters with great writing. It's michael hirst who is great. And the crew is from braveheart so yeah

What reality check? The natives temporarily defeated the Northmen just because of bigger number and terrain knowledge. They were way way behind the Northmen in weaponry and fighting abilities.

William the Conqueror, so in reality all the way to the current royal family today

I don't think Floki is looking at the crown with pangs of temptations... but rather pangs of disgust. I think that he is hateful of that crown, of kings themselves perhaps, after something bad has happened to him - or to those he cares about.

***** No it was clearly the crown of the french king they were fighting. Watch for the guy with the crown, its the same one Floki is holding. Vikings did not have crowns, nor horned-helmets, in real life. According to the saga Ragnar is killed by Aella, thrown into a pit of snakes. But yeah, Floki definately does NOT want to be king. It's more of, 'check it out, heres my trophy for killing a King'.

Tom Ward I could also envision Floki glaring at the crown as Rollo seeks to claim it for himself - after the prior king is deposed. Floki looks a touch too enraged to be valuing it as a trophy.- even if he were to destroy it as is his perogative with his loot.
As per the horned helmet debacle, yes - no horned helmets were worn in combat. Most were ceremonial pieces used by Germanic tribes dating back to early Roman encounters with the Celts and Gauls.

Ok, so here's the breakdown. NOTHING is better than the Game of Thrones. LOL. So with that said... No, to your first question. As for your second... I enjoy watching Vikings. I only have 3 shows, GOT, Walking Dead and Vikings. I say give it a try with Season 1 and 2 and see if your like it!

What I like about vikings better than gof is the fact they don't just throw piles of sex at you and my opinion better acting but I will say vikings is so much more intense and suspenseful and dark so much complexity and deception great acting and scripting
