Are you running Dragon of Icespire Peak? How is the story going? ***Disclaimer - Amazon links in description wont cost you anything extra but will provide myself with a kick back, support your local game store but if you cannot currently then perhaps support your friendly RUclipsr ❤️ ***
I am pleasently suprised to see this in my recommended video's haha. I am currently running a lost mine of phandelver campaign to introduce a friend in dnd before we head on and start a waterdeep campaign. Its nice to see how you can weave all these stories and campaigns together. Also, I loved your waterdeep video's, it helped me make a bit more sense of the lore and the complexity of the city and all. I recently started DM'ing myself and this channel has helped me a lot to prep for this campaign. So thanks, your video's are well appreciated!
Thanks so much for your comment! Im really happy that these videos are helping some people and good on you for taking the DM roll. It can be quite daunting sometimes so awesome work.
I am a big fan of The Dragon of Icespire Peak. Your changes sound good and I can't wait to hear more. I love how the Dragon Cultists know that Adventurers often cause trouble, and so they are hiring Adventurers to go adventure elsewhere so they don't meddle in the Cult's schemes. Brilliant!
Thanks! I just wanted to add some tweaks here and there to create a little more depth to the story instead of just “go on quests, get strong, kill dragon”
Great video! Thank you for putting out this content you appear so well informed. I am thinking of running this as I am new to dm'ing so this is perfect for me I also loved your Waterdeep videos as well. Keep it up!
Really appreciate the comment! Its a great story to run even without the changes. Good luck with it and feel free to ask any questions along the journey.
Amazing! Its a very good story for new players so great choice. How have you first 2 sessions gone? I find session 1 is a lot of guiding around the character sheet and then session 2 is a lot of clarifying of rules but lots of progression :)
@@TheDMSide In the first session the party did the quest at Umbradge Hill, and then next session the first thing they did was revisit the windmill and steal a bunch of health potions through clever use of Disguise Self 😂. Almost every roll was over 17, they ended up making 125 gp and one health potion each. Even though the party are not very familiar with the rules, they most certainly are filled with imagination and creativity
@@valiagiorgos577 hahahah thats amazing! The rules will come over time. The fun, imagination and creativity is what really makes the game. Sounds like you have a great group.
Gotta say as a small channel i love the content you're providing here. I think you do a good job of demonstrating how a dm switches things around to be more interesting (I'm literally in the middle of doing the same hence why I've found your channel, lol) Small point however I do think there would be some benefit to giving an overview to exactly what the base content of the adventure is, considering you have run it, and overview of the encounters/level especially for this module because it is very scattered/open. video length is great though
Thanks for the advice! I do plan on doing a full overview after the story ends. However its nice to get some feedback from viewers in their preferences of content order.
Really sorry to say but I do not have a stream set up. This series idea is set up so that I just give brief details on what the campaign book expects and then I talk about what ACTUALLY happened and how as a DM I handle those things in prep or on the fly. Streams are a dream right now but unfortunately I do not have the set up to host them. It is a future plan but its definitely not something that will happen soon.
Following and subscribing to your channel. I'm posting my campaign diaries on the DoIP reddit if you're interested in seeing another DMs ideas and perspective.
Hey! Yeah I have been reading through the reddit posts and the DoIP FB group too. I think I have seen your campaign diaries on reddit. Im very much enjoying and find inspiration from reading other peoples stories and questions. Keep up the good work!
