Absolutely epic. Thanks so much bro!! This portrait tutorial was so appreciated. I’m not gunna pick a favorite piece you’ve ever done, but I LOVED The Hacienda mural you did back at home and this seemed like an applicable “behind the scenes” how-to. Yer da best🤘🏻!

remember when we didn't have smartphones and we just used a sketch as reference when we were not painting straight from memory or improvisating on the spot
    those were good times
I personally will never use doodle grid or projector to ease my work
i actually like painting i don't want to feel like i'm just using a coloring book for kids, i want the raw experience, i want the trials and errors

dont get it twisted I used to paint portraits all the time free hand and have also painted many canvases going straight in with the paint and still do, its just a tool that gets the job done and if your working with clients I would advise to invest in a projector to save you time, money and be able to do the most accurate job. all depends on what your desired outcome is and what you seek to acheive `

Been binging your content as I was late to discover your page. Had a suggestion. Can you please save the Incredible Hulk? They have made him soft in the movies. Your style could really bring out his rage! Also I would like to commission a custom drawing if possible. Love your work.

Very inspiring, Spray cans used in this video, color value wise? Any transparent paints, fluorescent or metallic

Why not use an actual "grid:" bisecting lines? How do random shapes help/improve over a traditional grid?

    •  2 месяца назад

      it doesn't
doodle grid is just the trendy way that everyone and their mothers are doing
i would even argue that an actual grid would help more for those who need it

Well, based upon what and how you wrote your reply, I'm assuming you're not an native English speaker, so I won't comment on the writing. But it does seem that we are on the same page about this "grid thing."

It does help a lot more, Because there’s so many little bits to use as a reference, if you use a regular grid there’s a ton of empty space so less reference points. It can just make it a lot easier to get your proportions as accurate as possible
