Seeing Tom one motion the 200kg stone will never not be impressive
It's a thing of beauty to watch
Time to increase the stone weights, IMO. Too many people cleared it pretty easily.
He was thowing them all like nothing, wtf.
Just watch how he handles all the stones... its like they whey nothing.... insane strenght.... he evolved and made so much progress over the years.. and he is as big as a house now god damn! HUGE GIANT! much respect for Tom.....

HEY Giants live, maybe leave the camera shot at a wide angle with both athletes in view so we can see each athlete's entire run uninterrupted. Switching cameras so that we miss some of the stone lifts makes no sense and is extremely frustrating for viewers. Thanks.

It's like during comparisons at a bodybuilding show, when they show only a couple guys up close before the next pose is called.
Sadly there is not enough money in the sport or they would be able to afford a more robust production team Im guessing. Strongmen could really use more PR and money. Kind of ridiculous tbh.

He was given all sorts of praise by the announcer at the end and he immediately turned it around and praised Mitch . These athletes are some of the nicest people out there.
Winning the first 4 out of 5 events...setting a new world record in the axle press....and having such a commanding lead he only needed to lift one stone in the last event, to win the competition....it was very wise to do only what was needed at the end, rather than risk injury....well done Moose!
He nearly won the first four events but came second to Pavlo on the Conan's Circle.

@@JohnsOnStrings Mitch was right to do what he did tho. The comp was bicep heavy, no reason to risk injury when it's the start of the season this year. Stones are very prone to bicep injuries.
Tom and Mitch is becoming such a great rivalry.
They've been the top 2 by a large margin for years now, it's crazy
Tom is a stone lifting machine
Having one the widest chests and widest wingspans really really helps with stones. He can grip these big stones far easier than some smaller competitors. Mitch has been very impressive but hasn't had to fight off a real injury yet. Hope he stays healthy but this has always been a sport defined by injury. The most heroic moments have always been the guys fighting through a separated bicep or ankle injury. Some (myself included) would argue competing while injured is a bad idea... But it makes for a great moment.

I'm a big Stoltman fan but Mitch is a machine he's no 1 at the moment,it's a shame on the axle press where they didn't give Tom enough time to recover he wouldn't have got the 218 but he definitely would have got the 205..congratulations on your win Mitch see you both at the Shaw classic
I think Tom is no 1 but I can understand that you think it's Mitch. Regardless they will be pushing each other to new heights.

Superb show of sportsmanship and respect. Got to love it.
Looking forward to watching a rivalry over the coming years :) hope to continue to see them both be solid sportsmen. Respect to Hooper for making a solid decision but apologizing for not putting on a show.

Really wish they'd make the holes the stones fall into bigger, so the athletes can just drop the ball and not worry about it rolling out. They want to be fast as possible, having to worry about the stone wastes time.

these two really have come so insanely far - Mitch really may join the ranks of all time greats like Brian and Big Z with his complete lack of weaknesses. And Stoneman is clearly the greatest stone lifter of all time already. not even bothering to sit into it at 200 Kg is outrageous.

no one can beat tom at stones unless he slips. no one else has 1 motioned the whole run before.
Europe's strongest man 2017. Thor did the stones and one motioned the 200kg stone and still has the record to this day doing the run in 17.54 seconds.

Hafthor Bjornsson did the easiest one motion of 200kg ever at ESM 2017. Look it up. It's insane
@@Adam-bw6dj I think those days are behind him. Too many injuries and he's been out of mix for too long. I am ok being proven wrong but time will tell.
@DrummerJay74 He's been out of the mix too long but was half a point behind Tom Stoltman at the Arnold despite zeroing an event and not doing particularly well at the axle. His overhead is slowly coming back to what it was after the pec tear. What other injuries does he have? He hasn't spoken about any big injuries other than when he tore his pec but he's said himself it feels great now.

Thor has stated he won't ever compete at any Giant's Live event again due to previous history. I wish he would change his mind as I would love to see him in competitions like this.

@LordLorenzo834 Nonsense! Pay attention! He didn't complete the stones because he had already the comp and there was no point risking an injury if he didn't have to. This is the reason why he's a world-beater now - he's smart and knows how to look after his body. He's focused on winning the next contest, and the next after that.

@@LordLorenzo834 He did make 2 world records and equal a 3rd, so I don't believe he has any weaknesses. His biceps served him well, so there wasn't any point pushing them further than they needed to be pushed. I have no doubt he's headed for GOAT.

It is preapplied on the stones. Otherwise it is smooth af, no grip on that.
Strongman is all about cheating. Lifting belts, chalk, sniffing salts, compression shorts, lifting shoes, etc... They should just do everything naked with no equipment.
Cheating is when you don't play by the rules. This is clearly within the rules, and therefore not cheating. You still need to be incredibly strong to do this.
Using tacky is pretty standard in strongman
