I don't understand why those people have downvoted you. You made a greater presentation with paint than other youtubers with 3D modeling software and real car parts. Cheers!
I believe that if a wastegate valve remains open, the turbine will be slowed down, resulting in the compressor slowing down and thus not generating optimum intake pressure for the engine. The result would be low engine performance (slow acceleration, barely hitting 2.5K rpm).
Beautifully explained with almost zero animation, this show that when you got right information you can explain it to anyone. The only thing i didn't understand is how does the waste gate pipe from the intake manifold operate?
I think it just opens up in case the air hits a certain level of pressure. I'm not a mechanic but I assume maybe it's just held in place with a spring or something like that.
Super helpful. Now I need to tear down my shop built turbo system. They have my waste gates running off vacuum from a splitter block from the intake. So I am thinking it’s holding the gates open wide

A turbocharger doesn’t open or close based on vacuum directly. Instead, it’s controlled by a wastegate, which opens to release excess exhaust when boost pressure is high, preventing over-boost. At idle or low RPMs, there’s minimal exhaust flow, so the turbo isn’t actively boosting, and the wastegate typically stays closed. The bypass valve also activates when the throttle closes, releasing excess pressure but not based solely on vacuum. Feel free to ask if it’s not clear.
Kindly improve the animation to let layman understand the principles. The diaphragm actuates the lever by pivoting the lever of the valve soit willopen.Your animation shows a lever eccentrically moving not swinging or pivoting. If you want the diapraghm pulls the valve, the fluid diagram must be at the opposite side so it will pill the link that is connected to the valve.
+Prabhu N High pressure can cause many more damages so Thanks for the comment. What's app us @ +919744615655 To get updates on Mechanical/ Automobile engineering
can we increased the efficiency of this Turbo chargers? by warping special clothes on exhaust system and totall heat inserted on turbine of Turbo, IT speed increased ?
Harihere1 diesel motors primarily regulate air by fuel rate only. Newer cat wrote and c15 thru c18 have wastegates for epa here. Wastegates work best on petrol or gas motors because of detonation if over boosted.

What will be symptoms or results if the wastegate valve stuck open position or not closing properly

It operates with an actuator controlled by the oil pressure.
Nicely explained about waste gate function. Thanks

Beautifully explained my friend
Excellent video explanation. Thank you.
So is this classed as a twin scroll set up? Or is this just a standard turbo?
So the waste gate valve and the swing valve control work by themselves? The Pilot in the cockpit doesn’t need to activate them?
Nice explanation with nice sketch, thankyou
Awesome video, we'll explained and very informative 👍
Great explanation

Super explanation, I got the basic knowledge of what is the turbocharger Westgate technology mean,,
Thank you,,🤝🤝
Good explanation Sir
Thanks for the comment
Doesn't it close when vacuum drops? And open when vacuum is up at idle, bypassing turbo?

precise explained, thank you
In plain terms, which is better: vgt or wgt in car diesel crdi

Nice explanation
Better to say to the intercooler than intake manifold
how to know opening and closing pressure specification of turbo
My back pressure is 15 psi after the def filter seems to be cadilatic converters clogged causing under boost code
does anyone have a video of replacing the turbocharger waste gate on a 2016 Tucson 1.6T Or have instructions on the easiest way to do it. Thanks
Good one!! . Thank you
Isn't it high pressure might damage the fins of turbine and that's why we have waste gate?
+Prabhu N
High pressure can cause many more damages so
Thanks for the comment.

Prabhu N anom
I presume the wastegate valve would normally be open on the likes of a Smart Car so that the turbo only comes in for power boost?

cat 3500 series engines do not have waste gate actuator. plz tel me how the engine managing the air feeding

Its good make more videos on engine's other part
Thank you very much very nice and interesting.
Thank you...
Hello please tell me how to repair P0243 code for waste gate .
Thank you
Excellent
Nice
bro.. Turbo RPM will not come 1 lack.. its near about only 1000 rpm..
