I feel like Emmy was definitely nervous in this performance. The way Patrick is holding her hand the whole time and occasionally looking over at her with an encouraging expression seemed a little more than just being in character especially while Emmy’s voice was shaking in her first part.
Patrick’s Broadway background really shows here. He sings a duet as a performer in a play would-looking at his partner and not the camera. He is also on a duet album with Barbra Streisand who asked him to reprise the duet in a live concert with her.
She should’ve been belle and he should have been the beast in Beaty and the beast. What a missed opportunity.
