No. Smells completely different than sage. Hard to describe.Depending on the region it is grown it will vary. Russian is much smoother and pleasant than French or American.

I'm 28. I'm hoping that Clary Sage will be the key to getting me off ibuprofen for menstrual cramps. It'll be a god-send!
Will be ordering soon! (I prefer Sweeders on EBay and Plant Therapy as my favorite Essential oil brands.

Sage is a sacred medicine of many Native Americans. They do a practice called smudging were they burn dried sage leaves. Would it be the same concept if you diffused sage oil instead of burning leaves!

    Hello Jordan and Dr Axe!
Question: How close are sage and clary sage related if at all? I had a allergy scratch test that showed I am allergic to sage and rag weed.
Is clary sage safe for me to use?
    Thank you in advance

    • @wib6044

Not really. Hard to describe, but the best way is it’s like a combination of lavender and Texas cedar wood, with a hint of rosemary and very faint hint of jasmine in the background.
