I live in the province, and prices are mostly cheaper here than in cities like Manila- but 21 pesos per meal is nearly impossible especially if you consider proper nutrition. NEDA reported this absurdity that Filipino people who afford more than 21 php a meal is not experiencing poverty is so out of touch and delusional. Really shows us how stupid they can get just to dumb us all down as well. Anyway, your videos are so honest! I love them so much. T__T
Yeah I also live in the province, 21 pesos for a meal is impossible, even the cheapest carenderia charges 70 pesos just for the ulam alone. So the 63 per day for healthy meals is a bunch of bollocks, specially when you have to pay for gas, oil, and water to cook with.
That's because you don't understand what the figure is for. It's a threshold, not a recommended budget. _Of course_ you will eat substandard meals when you're food-poor: a cup of rice and an egg, a cup of rice and instant noodles, etc. And it isn't 21 pesos per meal, it's 64 pesos per day. Bold of you to assume that food-poor people eat 3 meals per day. If you can afford to eat in a carinderia 3x a day, would you still be considered food poor? When lower middle class and other socioeconomic class pricks get offended for the Class Ds and Class Es by rageposting ignorant comments like these, using smartphones or laptops they totally own and have money for load credits, it's clear who's being out of touch and delusional.
For breakfast, you can buy the smallest size of chicken spread, which is flavored mayo. It's about P10 each. Remaining P11 can be spent for pan de sal, which is about P2.50 each. So, you can buy 4 pan de sals and one chicken spread. Find a sari sari store that has a water dispensing machine that sells purified water for P1.00 in a plastic bag. Lunch, buy one sakto size of instant pancit canton, which is about P12 then buy 3 pcs of Pan de Sals to go with it. The change you can use to buy water.
