I wouldn’t rate the Hobart or Miller Bobcat over the Miller Trailblazer. Not even the Ranger. I have a Trailblazer and I did my research before buying. I looked at them all. The Trailblazer reigns supreme when it comes to Mobil Fabrication and welding where you need a good stick welder/Mig welder/DC Tig, but also need to run other tools to even include 230 V Plasma cutters. Where it’s unique is that there’s actually two separate generators ran off the same engine. What that allows is for one person to be welding while someone else is utilizing the generator power at the same time, and the welder’s arc not be effected. My particular welder has an EFI injection and an inverter 110 outlet that puts out clean sine wave power. By far my favorite on the list. Yes there are other welders better suited for pipe liners like an SA200 or something. But those are straight stick welders and it’s all they do. They usually have a 110 outlet to run a grinder or something but pipe liners don’t need to run other things. They have other workers to assist. If you are a one man show or run a two or three man crew off one machine, a Trailblazer is it. I’ve even ran a second 230V plug-in welder off of my machine while I was using the Miller welder. Two people welding at the same time.
