A mop cap or mob cab is a fun little accessory for costume or historyboudning. Though not how they were made historically here’s a quick and simple way to make one.

Oh yes, very easy. The first one I made I used a sewing machine and instead of a drawstring put in elastic.

Interesting. I had no idea that they were usually called mob caps. I grew up calling them mop caps. The names of things is fun.

How big is the circle? The circumference

I didn't measure the circumference but the diameter was about 27 inches. Hope this helps. They do need to be a fairly large circle.
