Hi there! Where we can buy lens opener? I have canon 70-300mm IS USM Telephoto Lens and it has a molds on the rear side. I have no idea if I will also use lens opener to detach the rear lens. Any advice?
You can buy it on amazon www.amazon.co.jp/JAPAN-HOBBY-%E5%90%B8%E7%9B%A4%E3%82%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%83%97%E3%83%8A%E3%83%BC-%E3%83%AC%E3%83%B3%E3%82%BA%E3%83%A1%E3%83%B3%E3%83%86%E3%83%8A%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B9%E7%94%A8%E5%B7%A5%E5%85%B7-JHT9520/dp/B0013HFYKK
Had I known Bleach worked I would not have ruined my lens. I had very stubborn fungus on a lens I tried to remove it with Isopropyl alcohol but it did nothing. I then tried Apple Cider Vinegar and let it set for 20 min. It totally removed the fungus but it also ruined the coating on the lens along the way.
Hello there, this is very cool. Question: I have an older Zenzanon (Zenza Bronica) 150mm. I don’t see how you could remove the back of the lens like that. It is set in rather deep.
Hi, the fungus is on the rear element inside. How can I separate the lenses from that group? I see the rear lens is screwed on but I can't seem to unscrew it at all. I have tried acetone and alcohol on the threads.
@@Justachamp772 I finally opened it. Took a strong nail polish remover and let it sit for a day and apply every couple of hours. Finally, I was able to unscrew with my hands and clean all the lens elements.!
@@ravirajangam9599 bro so can the fungus be cleaned easily and will it work afterwards cause man i think I can open it but i could break the whole lens
@@Justachamp772 Cleaning fungus is not easy. In some cases it will wipe off easily, else you will have to wash it in soap, lighter fluid, etc till it goes away. Mine was kind of baked on the lens. Took many tries and washing it to get rid of it completely. As for opening the lens which I haven't done before this, take pictures as you are taking it apart. If you forget something you can never put it back again properly. It becomes a puzzle after you have dismantled everything and there is a lot of screws of various sizes on your table. Organize the screws by parts and put them together so you know which goes where. Patience and diligence and pictures help.
That’s fantastic! I would’ve loved to see before and after images taken with the lens!
Beautiful. ASMR relaxes me. I have had fungus in a lens, makes me sad.
It is OK. You have failed.
Thanks need translation to where to buy that solution.
2:58 What name of that liquid did you use for removing fungus?
Bleach
@@rodrigogiorgi89 doesn't affect to image quality or lens?
