You don't need patience when you know how to enjoy nature, I even enjoy "boring" moments. Just the peace, the wind, the light of the sun between the trees, the sounds of the birds, that alone is enough for me, and often I get an extra in the shape of a deer or wild boar, etc. ....... Thank you Morten for reliving recognizable wonderful moments while I sit at home. Even your sigh is recognizable when you came out of the forest.
Morten - that was so amazing. I have loved this series but this one was so super special. Your quote - I really really love badgers, like a lot was so funny! The effort you put into making these videos with the cinematography and sound is quite phenomenal. You bring us into your world of wildlife photography and a love it. Like a lot!!!
Thank you so much Nigel. Yeah this day was something very special. I rarely experience so much activity around the set. I can't wait to go back to this amazing island.
When you get a notification from Morten Hilmer's channel you know your evening's viewing is sorted and will be fantastic. And it was. Fantastic images Morten, and, as ever, your energy, enthusiasm, passion and professionalism for wildlife photography is absolutely world class.
So beautiful! There are not too many things more peaceful and comforting to watch than wildlife thriving and in this case even playing in their natural habitat. Great episode, Morten! Those badgers bring me back to stories and pictures from books in my childhood, I enjoyed seeing your video very much.
We get a couple of Badgers in our garden most nights, which I catch on a trail cam. They are lovely creatures. Great video.

You are one of those few persons on youtube that I am eager to see what's new everytime I come online. Everytime I find that you manage to send us all a very subtle but profound mesage about the meaning of life especially of those who cannot speak to us.
Morten, thank you so much for all of your hard work and dedication as a conservationist and photography! You are an inspiration and you motivate so many of us to get out and do the same. Keep up the wonderful work!
Your photos and videos show off your true passion for the wildlife you photograph. It's inspiring. And I love that this came out on Friday...the night before I go into the woods for some wildlife photography!! Now I'm gonna have a hard time sleeping! Beautifully done as always Morten.
Hi Morten, this video was very exceptional. The colors, sharpness, clarity all on-point! Even for a moment I did not feel that I am watching a video. Instead it felt as if I am looking out an actual window. I feel this is the closest you have brought me to the nature around you. And this is why I watch your videos!
Superb, the video, the content, the quietness during filming really makes you feel that you are there and how patient you have to be. Being on your own in the woods and seeing this is really special, everybody should experience it.
Amazing video Morten!! These are the moments that make wildlife photography so addictive and worthwhile. Once you experience these moments you just want more and more. The way you portray the emotion throughout the filming is brilliant. Never stop doing what you do as you are an inspiration to us all. Cheers Keith
Amazing video! That is a great reward for your hard work. To have all come together on the same sitting. I really enjoyed when they started to play. Awesome footage and thanks for sharing with us. Great series! Can’t wait to see the next one!
Morten Hilmer, whenever i see your videos my heart starts respecting wildlife animals because your voice and respect for nature provoke me to do same. Your are really amazing person would like to thank you for you lesson of respecting nature. ❤️🙏❤️
Beautiful. Simple as that. I don't think I have ever experienced a badger in the forrest. They are just so shy creatures. But beautiful they are... Lucky you!
I just wanna say that You are an amazing person, your photos are beautiful. The love for nature of yours inspires me so much. Hope one day I'll meet you and have a cup of coffee in the woods of Denmark while enjoying the view of nature. ☕ Love from India 🇮🇳 🙂
I don't know why youtube recommended me this video, but I'm glad it did. I was searching for beech forest photography, cause they are everywhere around. But man, badgers? Deers and hares are plentiful here in Czech Republic, I've seen some boars, one from two meters jumping out of raspberry bush, I've seen three foxes in my life and one beaver. But I've never seen badger, only big footprints with long claws in the snow early in the spring.
Absolutely beautiful video. Love your love for wildlife. You’re a good person, Morten. Keep doing what you do. We love to be submerged within your world. Thank you.
This has been an amazing series Morten, very inspiring and loved sharing your time with the Badgers, I have recently discovered my first badger den and hopefully get to spend my own time observing, filming and photographing these beautiful creatures, trying my best to follow your guidance as to not disturb them in their home environment, great work and gorgeous images Morten!!!
Great video Morten. I really like your content. It's such an inspiration for my personal way of photography. You are so calm and respectful to nature, that is amazing. Great job!
I'm just in love with the overall quality of the video.. Even if little, I can understand how tough it is to do photography and videography alone in the wilderness that too with this phonomenal quality is something beyond any compliment. Too good...❤️
Wonderful Morten, the Badgers are beautiful creatures as are the deer of course. You create such an atmosphere. I always look forward to your next video. Stay safe Morten.
Hi Morten, loved the video as always my friend! The music and sections of video were timed beautifully and the images were really nice! Badgers are up there in my top 3 but that light plays havoc with the image quality in the shade of the forest! You done well, once again a pure pleasure:-) My 3 yr old boy Henry watched it again and loved it👍. Keep it up mate, all the very best Richard 🤟
Fantastic! I have recently had some great experiences with roe deer and foxes that came much closer than I expected. I just had to sit still behind my camera until they went away. As you always say, it is something special to be able to watch and photograph these animals on their terms. Keep the inspiration coming with your videos.
Stunning video Morten! Truely a blessing to witness the badgers up close, playing and goofing around enjoying family life and all that! I would have been a wreck afterwards, all excited and so emotional haha! Well done and congrats!
You are one of my favorites, Morten, and while I appreciate that Covid-19 has disrupted your travel plans, and I appreciate what you are doing for the wildlife biologists, I look forward to seeing you with your beard frozen (as in your icon) as you stalk the musk oxen in a blizzard!
Great things come to those who wait your experience was fully deserved Morten I'm so happy for you and thanks for sharing it with us all. Now we all know what is required to get that experience. Stay Safe 👍 📸
I know you love badgers Morten because you having so much fun ! : ) From your boot making a wiggle with the little plant to the oh so lovable waggles of badgers. So much love outthere .. . felt by all my senses through your beautiful film making tales. (okay except the good smellies, but that one is the magic to go outside allure ;)...Stay wild. inside.
Another truly enjoyable video from start to finish...the images really give a sense of the animals in their environment,I like these better than a detailed close-up style of photography, you get a sense of being there. Can't wait for the next episode, here's hoping that you find the fox family!
Gosh what I would do to be in you’re shoes Morten, those baggers where so cute, the little video you took of them playing is exactly what Cinematography/photography is all about the emotions in the subject amazing work
Morten, you probably know this better than I do, but I’ll mention it nonetheless for the benefit of anyone who might read this message. Your target Wildlife doesn’t need to sense your presence directly (through sound sight or smell) to know you’re there. Often times a target species will get its cues from other species. For example, those pesky birds always spot you from afar and sound the alarm as if they were getting paid to do it. This cross-species alarm cueing is probably what gave you away the first time. Also, I wonder if sometimes our equipment and gear emits frequencies beyond our capacity to hear it, but certain creatures hear a broader range of sound frequencies. That’s my take anyway. Nice to see you again. Great video as usual my friend.
I love your every videos, Not just because you click Wonderful pictures...but also the reality in you, your works and the calmed harmony nature where your presence really take me to it deeply.
This video made me cry. The little badger looking up to the bigger badger and just the incredible light in the forest. Thank you for such beauty.
