The problem is the student is still broadly correct if overly generalizing. Political considerations prevented the US military from attacking Viet Cong resupply efforts running through Cambodia & Laos (Ho Chi Minh Trail) and President Johnson largely prevented them from expanding operations into those countries for fear of provoking the Soviets and China. His demonstration, as he explains it anyways, supports the effectiveness of guerilla tactics, but what he actually does is really more of a demonstration of skill defeating the unskilled, which would actually cut more in the US's favor. Regardless, had the military been allowed to prosecute the war as they wanted it likely would have been far more successful, assuming all else remained the same. On the other hand it likely would have resulted in more civilian deaths and some of those political considerations the Johnson administration was worrying about may well have caused additional complications.
Came here to say something similar. General Giap's strategy wasn't to try and defeat the U.S. forces, because he knew he couldn't. And as proof, the NVA and VC never won anything above a company level engagement, as I recall. Giap knew that all he had to do was stay alive and keep an American body count in the news. His center of gravity wasn't on the battlefield, but American public opinion, because he knew western liberal democracies had no stomach for protracted war. In that sense, it was a genius strategy because it achieved his end result, but the human cost was dreadful, since it was something like an 8 to 1 kill ratio in favor of the U.S.. The Tet Offensive was a tactical catastrophe for the North, but a strategic masterstroke. Those "hippies", aided by the media (specifically Walter Cronkite), portrayed it as a signal of the hopelessness of the war, public support dwindled, and the rest is history.
He's not wrong. Vietnam was a giant jungle where the enemy could be anywhere. That said, we lost in vietnam because we weren't allowed to win for fear of sparking a war with China, also the unpopularity of the war. The crazy thing is if you study the history, Ho Chi Min could have become an ally of the US if the French didn't treat the colony like crap and we allow it.
The us did not loose the objective was to get them to recognize the south they did we pulled out later the north Tracked again we dTxed out at no time was the us unable to destroy them
Bulls--t The North Vietnamese Army (NVA) was supported by powerful communist countries, Russia and China, were highly trained, and very well equipped. Ask any American Vietnam war veteran. American support for South Vietnam was undermined by liberal Democrats in Congress. Look at the history. The U.S. Continental Army of our founding fathers was supported by France and other adversaries of England of the late 1700s. Fidel Castro of Cuba was supported by communist Russia.
He was using historical analogies of when defensive Gueriilla forces defeated Superior military Forces - VC vs USA and allies, Afghans vs Russians, Castro vs Cuban Government, American colonists vs British.

That's what he said, America had vastly superior forces......and got their arses handed to them in every conflict. That's the truth, about time America stopped wasting millions on their joke of a military and fixed their domestic issues.
Why? Just because Bo is bigger and possibly stronger? A highly trained fighter with years of combat experience will outsmart and outclass a highschool thug

There is a reason why this is called "The Substitute 3".
The Chinese girl is rooting for Bo😂
Ahh, this is what you get when writers don't know anything about fighting or military history. Good stuff. ;)
Please don't tell me this is supposed to be a high school class?
Most of these actors look they're 30.
Keep failing year in year out!
College, but still don’t look the part.
Bro get you 50 yr olds out of the classroom
Besides being old, I think they tried to get no name actors that look like A-list actors
Bo don't know how to fight 🫣
So no statement about getting your information about fantasy movies?
Gotta be Malcolm X College
40 is too old to be on a college football team.
Shakespeare has nothing on this.
I never did like Rambo.
Action packed, yes.
But no authentication.
Chuck Norris will be back tomorrow.

The teacher gig was his cover. In the movie, he's actually a highly experienced mercenary and former US SOF Soldier.
