- You can charge your wrist watch battery with a normal mobile charger within a minute in emergency. Charging a small battery more than a time frame ( more than 2 mins not recommended ) can heat up the battery or may explode..** better keep distance while charging more than a minute.

Yes, it worked but I will recommend to use 9V HW battery🔋as it will be safe. I have charged the cell overnight and it lasted for more than 3 days.
Since I first Came across this little gem of a RUclips video , I have saved $$$$ dollars in batteries …not to mention the fact that I have a hand full of old cheap work watches that were not worth the Time and effort of buying new battery for . If the charged ,only lasted for a few days in your device ……I suspect that particular cell has actually failed . I used a cheap multi meter to test each cell after I have charged it . Using the multi-meter , I have observed Two things . Both the Good battery And that is faulty will often charge….. if you hold the multi-meter on the charged battery…. and watch the voltage ….you will see the voltage drop ‘’ as it happens 👈 you will notice The good batteries voltage drops the excess charge until it reaches approximately 1.5 / 1.7 volts . The faulty batteries voltage will drop continuously’’ it may slow down , but will continue to drop over a few days. The batteries that are not faulty ‘’Become fully charged and are still working In our watches Toys and laser pointers . I have only had One button cell battery explode in my fingers as I charged it . It was a good lesson , I was NOT hurt But it scared the crap out of me ….. The two fingers holding the positive and negative wires to the battery ……felt like they had been slapped with an old wooden ruler lol or when your fingers get caught in the end of a tape measure as it closes . I recommend wearing safety glasses . And to make a basic battery holder for the 30 seconds to one minute of charging time.
I already tried this some few years back buy using a multi-meter tester-set X1 negative prob is connected to positive of battery and charge it for 10min for short duration and to 30min for longer life, good only for emergency it will last a day or two or so, some lasted a few hours depending quality type battery

It’s good in a pinch. But charging it with a bigger battery is safer. I wouldn’t trust the usb to wall adapter to not go out on me while doing it and end up getting shocked. Using a battery just run + to + and - to - the flat side is positive the button is negative should be marked.

This method is actually working... use this method in emergency that you don't have time to actually buy a new battery and not to save some $$. I would suggest not holding the battery with fingers. hold the battery using some kind of tape. Charge it for less than a minute. It gets really hot in
The battery may leak in the watch and damage small components. So don't risk your watch for a cheap battery. It looks cool but as some viewers have reported that it only lasts a few hours, so please don't try this if your watch is more important to you than the dead battery😊

Safer to just use a 18650 battery. And just run positive to positive and negative to negative. Does the same thing but in like half the time. Charged at just under 3 volts. I just did it on my weight scale. The usb depending on which usb your using are usually 2-2.4 volts. And u don’t have to worry about plugging it into a 110 socket and praying that nothing goes wrong with the usb to wall adapter plugged in. Some people will be scared cause of being shocked the tiny tiny risk that is. But if u do it with a battery it is completely safe. Just use a AA battery to charge it if your worried. But a 4.2 volt 18650 will do it in seconds. I did a cr 2032 I think it was which is a much bigger button battery and 30 secs. (3 )10 second intervals.
But how long the charge will last is a billion dollar question 😀😀

I tryed a broken charger and I said that was bull lier!! But after I tryed a charger that worked and it really worked! It charged the battery and I was like noooo wayyyyyy holy it worked!!
This is not a very safe way, if it’s rated 1.5v then charge it at 1.6v-1.7v for no more than a minute or two and not continuously charge else it will warm up and get too hot and leak or explode and it’s only just to give you time to get a new battery, so not recommended to do this more than once as it’s not designed for continuous recharging hence not a rechargeable battery
It's safer to use ordinary 1.5v cell battery. It worked well, my wrist watch battery lasted for 3 months before I replaced it.
After charging the battery lasted for 4hours

I am happy to say this was a simple tip anyone can do at home . I have tried it within the last half an hour of this post . I only have one thing to add … after charging 5 batteries I put the multi meter on them for about 10 seconds each . One of the batteries Voltage was dropping as I watched . But the other 4 batteries held the charge and are working great 👍. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 👣🦘🍻
Dont charge straightly in switch board its danger and also its very danger to hold in hand. Better u can connect the data cable to laptop or powerbank and charge it bro.

Why would you allow your fingers get in the way of the camera when touching the wires to the battery. Now how are your viewers going to know which polarity* (color) wire connects to which polarity (side) battery?
*Polarity: The directional flow of electrons in an electrical circuit.
"+" = Positive/Red
"-" = Negative/Black

In maximum case Red is Positive (+) and Black Negative (-), if not charging you can try other in place of Black for Negative(-)

Sir I have tried my level best to charge cell but it does not work cell is getting hot . And I have connected with black and white wire in cell my cell is too old also and what kind of cable we have to use
Kindly check if you are connecting Positive or Red Wire to (+) sign and Negative to (-) sign on a Battery.
Which is +sign and -sign in cell sir
And I have not repair the cell from last 2 year

NOT working I tried it with over 3 minutes , nothing
USB charger is too much, too fast, or too dangerous.
I used the same technique with a bench power supply, and slowly turned up the voltage so it was was never pushing more than 10ma at a time, quitting at 2.5v
If you do it real slow it can be done a few times, each time lasts noticeably less than the previous one.
Good for a few weeks until getting around to getting a real proper replacement.

You didn’t tell what will happen if we charge longer than a minute. I left my battery longer than a minute. And as a result, It was exploded. Fortunately, I had fastened it and wires with tape, instead of holding. Otherwise, my hand could get harm.
