- Clotting is a process in which liquid blood is converted into a gelatinous substance that eventually hardens. The aim is to stop the flow of blood from a vessel. The formation of a clot is the result of a series of enzymatic reactions that are triggered upon injury. The process involves:
a step of activation (wounding) followed by
a cellular response (aggregation of blood platelets) and
a molecular response (polymerization of the protein called fibrin to create a meshwork that hardens).
Factors released in the cellular response help activate the molecular response. The process is highly conserved across species.

thank you sir ❤🙂🙏🏻
Most welcome 😊 plz share it to your classmates
nice explanation!
You missed mentioning the VWB in extrinsic pathway that aggregate the platelets to form a platelet plugs. Also factor 12 11 9 8 all work in extrinsic pathway to for prothrombinase to reach common pathway.
Vasoconstriction is also not mentioned in the intrinsic pathway which reduces the blood flow to the injury site.
Good effort and diagram but there are a few gaps that could score more points in exams
very well explained 👍🏻
Glad you liked it!. plz share
