Hi! Watching from Canada 🍁 Love your colour choices. Just like Philip and Anna, the colour is sympathetic to the house but achieved in a modern way. Can't wait to follow your journey ❤
It is so neat to have a peek into the manor house life! Thank you for taking the time to video and bring us along! I'm such a fan of wholesome, family-friendly channels like yours!!
Channels like yours make us see how very similar we are no matter where in the world we live. It is loveily to see you involving your beautiful children in your work, an aspect of life that is not practiced much any more.
Thank you! We love to involve the kids in all of our projects. They learn so much, and we all get to spend quality time with each other - as opposed to just sitting with iPads and screens!
Stay with this! I have been watching How to Renovate a Chateau channel since the get go. Beautiful home(s) you have created and are creating. Looking forward to the next video.
Hi Kristina and Karl, I'm really happy to connect with you, children, friends and family through this format. Just going about your day as a family, renovating, exploring etc is a delight for most of us and I wish you every success on and off line.

Greetings from Grand Rapids, MI in the US. I am also a devoted fan of Philip’s and Anna’s. I just watched the episode from Nov 10 and agreed with so much of what you shared. I am looking forward to learning more from both of you. Best wishes to you, your growing family and your new channel. 🎉
Being creative and using your home and grounds as a personal palette is so rewarding and satisfying ! I have remodeled, restored , decorated and landscaped, etc. I enjoyed flea mkts, as breaks from painting, sanding, cleaning and my children were involved in the process also ! Love your channel and your home and grounds
We couldn’t agree more! ❤️ Sounds like you’ve been through your fair share of renovation projects as well ☺️ We’re happy to have you onboard our little adventure!
I'm finding your use of color really intriguing. I tend to be scared of color and lean towards paler shades. Thanks to Philip and Anna, I'm a new subscriber! Looking forward to future episodes.
Well hi there and welcome to the channel! We’re so glad you found your way over to us! 🤗 Happy to share inspiration on how to dare to use more color in your life! If worst comes to worst, you repaint and do it over! ☺️
I knew there was a reason I liked you two, when Carl said “let’s talk about shop safety”. Norm Abrahams is a Legend and my fave on TOH. Sadly, we lost another TOH legend this week with the passing of Roger Cook. RIP. I’m 1/2 Swedish and 1/2 Norwegian and soooo loving your design touches on your beautiful house. Can’t wait for episode 4!
So happy to have found your channel in its infant stage. Thanks to “How To Renovate a Chateau”, I am so delighted to see a Swedish manor house renovation. Sweden is the birthplace of my father . He was born on the west coast in a very small village called Alekulla. I had lived in Sweden (Fritsla ) from 1965-1966, and have visited many times before and since. I have been to Stockholm and Uppsala a few times too. Even though I was born in the U.S., my heart always longs for Sweden. So, I am living vicariously through your RUclips channel and will continue to do so. Tack så mycket! .
I saw you on Anna and Philips' vlog and am happy to have come across your channel. You are two interesting personalities who radiate so much understanding, sensitivity and warmth. So, on to the next channel! Beate from Germany
Hi from SC, USA! Started binge watching your vlogs this evening. Your vlogs are interesting and very entertaining. Very enjoyable. Was introduced to you via the vlogs created by Phillip and Anna and their visit to Sweden. Your mention of Norm Abrams was hilarious! I actually attended a Bob Villa seminar years ago. Your home is absolutely extraordinary. Thanks for sharing lives!
Hi from Sweden! 😊 Thank you so much for binge-watching-we’re thrilled you’re enjoying the vlogs! It’s amazing how many wonderful people we’ve met through Anna and Philip’s visit to Sweden. Norm Abram is a legend, and wow, attending a Bob Vila seminar must’ve been an incredible experience! Thank you for your kind words about our home-it means so much to us. Sending warm greetings to South Carolina! ❤️✨
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel! 😊 We're thrilled to have you with us and so glad you're enjoying the content. It means a lot to be able to share our journey with wonderful viewers like you! ❤️
Before finding all the Chateau renovators and now The Manor house. It was This Old House with Bob Vila back in 1979. Was a much watch for me; especially because it was in Massachusetts where I am from and still live. Did move to Lyon, France from 1991 to 1999. Thank you both for allowing me to go on this journey with you.
Ok, just so you both know, love the channel. You are both natural 's in front of the camera. Look forward to your next vlog ❤ Townsville Queensland Australia
I really enjoy Phillip and Anna's channel and learned about you from them. Your Swedish Manor House is so very different and somehow Sweden feels more like Canada than France and so I feel an affinity for the colours in nature and textiles you are inspired by. We live on the Canadian Prairies and enjoy long winters and traditionally a lot of snow. Of course, that is changing (it is the middle of November and we just had our first real snowfall - very odd, indeed). Anyway, you are both inspirations and I appreciate that you are sharing this part of your journey. All the best, Swedish neighbours!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We love to have you with us on this journey! It’s fun to give a different spin on the ”chateau reno channels” on YT that most are accustomed to - not least the fact that we are in Sweden, with everything that entails in terms of seasons, styles etc ☺️
I am in Canada. I recall thinking that you almost had an American accent when I first heard your voice talking to Philipp and Anna on their vlog. Aha! Love your home.
Happy to see this type of content from Sweden! I'm excited to see what you cook up for us in the future. Good luck! On a side note: don't ignore Shorts, they can bring in a lot of views for you, very easily. - Another swede
Thank you! Shorts is really a chapter in itself. It takes some time to convert landscape content into the Shorts-format. We'll take it one step at a time :-)
Absolutely love your videos. You do such a lovely job of talking to the camera and presenting what is going on. Really nice to see something new , from a new country. Please keep up the great job.
I loved the Norm Abrams shoutout! As the daughter of a carpenter, I grew up watching TOH and always enjoy a good renovation story! I'm excited by your new channel and look forward to following all the projects to come. :D Watching from Florida!
Looking forward to watching you both renovate your beautiful forever home. I have been following Phillip and Anna for a couple of years and have thoroughly enjoyed their journey thus far. Hello from Australia.
Hi down under! Welcome to the channel! We're so happy that you found your way over here from Philipp and Anna! We hope that you come to enjoy our content as much as you enjoy following their amazing journey!
Thanks for sharing your back story! I'm looking forward to the next 3000+ episodes 😁 I'd love to see more pics of your previous homes - they flashed by very quickly in this episode - but appreciate you're very busy!
I enjoy watching your videos. I saw you on How to Renovate a Chateau and subscribed to the link on their video. Your Swedish Manor is beautiful. Keep those videos coming! Best wishes from the state of Wisconsin in the USA!
I’m so exited you joined to share your excellent adventure! I love Anna’s and Philip’s channel as well as Stephanie Jarvis’s vlogs. I’ve done DIY renovations all my life until I retired so I know the setbacks, pitfalls and mistakes. On to the next one 😅 Those were all learning experiences. Which makes finishing a project so satisfying. I also love saturated wall colors. Thank you for sharing so generously.
Yes of course I love your type of content, you both have a sympathetic charisma. Love to see more of your surroundings and your beautiful garden. Take care see you 😉
Loved the thinking process and ideas. Great video!😊love your down to earth demeanor and laid back approach. It is very welcoming and easy to follow along... due to your vulnerability and honestly. I do hear the Canadian/American accent, so I was curious about that. I think your videos will do very well. I enjoyed the garden segment as well. Love to have more clips of of everything you did in today's video but don't feel you need to keep it to stay within a specific number of minutes. I know for myself it is over too quickly. It is nice to come along for the journey. Please leave in the in between bits, strolls and chats. The videos are spectacular. 😊 Not to complain, 🇨🇦🇨🇭
An episode should be like a dessert - you should be wanting more when it’s over 😄😉 Hopefully, you’ll come back the week after for a fresh new episode! Thank you so much for watching, and for following along our little adventure! ❤️🤗
@@SwedishManorLife I have been looking forward to seeing your videos. Loved the last one and excited to see what suggestions you make. I would love is if you could just take over room complete the room and then have them surprised and see what they think. Would love to know your thinking process and why you want to do certain things. Love anything design, cooking, antiquing, gardening, building, all of the above.
Ha ha! Who doesn’t love Norm! I grew up watching that guy every weekend! He’s like a comforting blanket. I feel compelled to pass on his legacy of safety precautions in woodworking! 😄 /Karl
Thank you so much! 😊 We love mixing old and new to create a unique feel, so it’s amazing to hear that it resonates with you. We’ll keep going, for sure! ❤️
It was part of my exchange studies and I wanted to explore another English speaking country that I had yet to visit. It was also an opportunity for me to study at McGill which is a world renowned and high-ranking university ☺️ all the best! /Karl
Stunning property in a truly beautiful location. Love the hot border and study renovation, truly talented and dedicated family so look forward to future content. Makes me giggle how serious Karl is with his wonderful carpentry and PPE compared to the inimitable Herr Philip in France. Good luck guys 💪😎❤️
Thank you so much! 🤗 Haha Karl had a blast with his little Norm-segment of it all. I guess it brings back memories for him from watching This Old House episodes. Safety first, you know 😄
l love that yellow look with the green. I have tried 5 different yellows and have finally decided on a green/yellow…..it can be darker because we have a lot of light in . Australia. Those paintings are just beautiful. Love the way you in in in olive the children too. Its the best play for them. 🌳
I am a new subscriber, but I had known about you when Philip and Anna went up to Sweden to visit friends. Wonderful to have met you both; two young families with the same hobbies and talents and living the same DIY experience. I find your decorating style warm and pleasant with dark creamy colours paint, large carpets and drapes. So elegant and beautiful to look at. I was instantly transported into your living room resting in that comfortable sofa. Very attractive. Your apple cider making was lovely to watch. I am glad you have just began your production of videos so I can quickly catch up. Glad you clarified where your American accent came from, because I noticed it immediately. I am Canadian. Your home will be filled with more love now. Congratulations! you have plenty of space to accommodate any number of children!
What a stunning house you have! So much work to do still, but it will all be worth it in the end ❤Seeing as both of you are very adept with your hands, it would be awesome to see some "How-To ..." videos as well 🙂
Aw, THANK YOU! 🙏🏻 Some how-to videos are definitely in the works! We have so much to share with you guys, and it’s amazing to hear that it seems to resonate with so many of you! ❤️
Greetings to you in Brasil! 🇧🇷 Thank you so much for the love-it’s amazing to know our Swedish manor is being appreciated all the way across the globe! We’d love to share more about Swedish culture, especially our unique traditions and holidays. Stay tuned!
Just the other day I told my husband I wonder what Norm is up to these days. Norm taught me about “biscuits” because as a southerner I only knew about biscuits that you ate for breakfast with butter and jam 😊
I’m here by way of Phillip and Anna! Enjoying your content already and I’m excited to see where you take the channel. Have you thought about starting a Patreon Community?
Welcome to the channel! We're so glad that you are enjoying the content! We have been thinking of getting a Patreon up and running - do you think there would be any interest for it?
Love your videos please keep doing them! I love the hot border which brings memories of Christopher Lloyd at Great Dixter in UK. Then I did some when we moved to France but thé Mulots kept eating the Dahlia tubers.😫😫. You are so lovely how you work together and get the children involved. Adore the colour schemes, the thoughts and trips to the flea markets👏👏👏🤣🤣❤️

I LOVE you did a shoutout to Norm! When I was in my 20s, he inspired my love of power tools that continues to this day. I just had my 70th birthday.

Sounds like you’ve been around the block in terms of renovation projects then! 🤗We’re happy to have you onboard our adventure!
Thanks for sharing your story. I am glad you can keep up your RUclips channel to share your journey to those of us who can learn from your journey.
We're happy to share our journey, and that you guys are with us for it all!

@@SwedishManorLife yes!
Well done! 😄🤗 Another one dropping on Sunday!
I so very happy you decided to come to RUclips, I look forward to each new episode because you are so inspiring and interesting…well done! 👍
Wow, thank you! 🤗 We’re overwhelmed by the positive reactions for our content! We’ll make sure to keep it coming!
You had me at the mention of Norm!
Ha ha! Who doesn’t love Norm! I grew up watching that guy every weekend! He’s like a comforting blanket. I feel compelled to pass on his legacy of safety precautions in woodworking! 😄 /Karl

Hi there from another Canadian. So glad you decided to make these vlogs. I'd also be interested in knowing why you chose a Canadian University.

Safety first, you know 😄
Your content is great and really well done.Do continue.
Thank you so much! We certainly will! 🤗❤️
l love that yellow look with the green. I have tried 5 different yellows and have finally decided on a green/yellow…..it can be darker because we have a lot of light in . Australia. Those paintings are just beautiful. Love the way you in in in olive the children too. Its the best play for them. 🌳
The yellow in that particular window and room is perfect for us because it’s north facing. So we need all the light we can get! 😄
l made a mistake in my reply. I meant to say it is lovely how you involve your children in your renovation. 😃
Really very professional your start. Very courages
Thank you! We’re glad to hear you like it! 🤗
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re so glad and thankful for each every one of you who find your way to our small corner of RUclips! ❤️🤗
Yes to the blue ❤ Love Philip and Anna❤
Yay! 🤗❤️
I like the light yellow and the plus 13 paintings that you are keeping as a part of your home.
Greetings from Brasil! I love your house! I would like to see more about swedish culture! holidays etc
Haha Norm absolutely LOVED his biscuits! I use Festool Dominoes instead, but the use-case and benefit is much the same! //Karl
I love your Vlog, I have shared your channel with my friend who is an architect on Gotland.
Thank you! 🙏🏻 and we love that you are following along on our journey, and help spread the word to your friends! ❤️
Welcome to the channel! We're so happy that you enjoy the videos and the content!
Came here as many from Anna and Phillip's channel.
