That little bit you went over reminds me of a similar sounding passage in Chopin's etude in thirds.

The idea of avoiding isolating the fingers is the foundation of the Taubman approach. I had been studying it with someone in New York up until the pandemic started. I haven't been able to go back, unfortunately.
I didn't have any dangerous physical problems, but I haven't been able to play really fast sweeping scales at the piano. It's still an issue for me. Arpeggios are the same. That's why I went.

I wonder if you could get Edna Golandsky as a guest on your channel. As a continuation on the Taubman approach and the two guest pedagogues you've already had on your channel, Graham having been twice.

Agreed. This advice was very Taubman-esque!

I believe one of Dorothy Taubman’s key concepts was that when the fingertip touches the bottom of the key, all downward motion stops. To get some passages up to speed, I’ve found it helpful to practice consciously synchronising the fingertips of both hands so they touch the bottom of the key at exactly the same time.

I was wondering about this for Beethoven's Appassionta 3rd movement. I find my fingers tripping over themselves and getting out of sync in certain passages. I'll give this a try.

Hi Josh, I have the pro practise video of this piece but I wonder if you would address exactly how to pedal the numerous L.H. tenths in the piece and keep the piece flowing rhythmically.

The position of the torso is important too, if you're not far enough over the lh might not feel as comfy
