In this video I go on three solo van camping adventures in woods. One car camping adventure there was heavy rain and I test out the new arctic air pure chill 2.0. While Car camping it rained pretty heavy at times, but was still able to get a fire started. I felt the Arctic Air Pure Chill 2.0 was worth the small price and kept me cool when directly blowing on me. The next Van camping adventure I used the EcoFlow Wave 2 Ac to keep cool and rode my scooter in the woods. The last car camping adventure I was boondocking in the woods with the zero breeze mark 2 ac. This is a combination of three van camping adventures where I attempted different way to stay cool in the summer. I think all three can be a good option for van life.

He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:11-13)

Ah, just saw the Tolbers notification! Settled down, cracked open a beer, and fired up another great Tolbers video experience. This guy and his killer van set-up, I love it, as always. Blessings to this man. By the way, I love the Biblical verses and references in his video work. Sacred and valid stuff, y'all.
Yuck beer is disgusting basically drinking pee
So glad you enjoy them! God is great! Stay blessed brother
Regarding your omelet. Next time spray your Pam on the pan. Let it get sizzling hot. You"ll know if you drop a few drops of water on the Pan and it dances and sizzles it's ready for the egg. Once the edges of the omelet looks dry try folding it in half. The reason it didn't work the 2nd time is because you already had food stuck to the pan and your 2nd omelet stuck to the food already stuck to the pan. Next time clean your pan before you attempt making another back to back omelet. I love watching you. Looking forward to your next video.
CURRENTLY IN MY VAN IN THE RAIN 😊
Currently don't care
Such a fun experience, let the haters hate 😂🌧️
I am currently in your van also 😉😉
Fantastic! I love all your videos. You’d make the best camping buddy. Thanks for sharing all your cool gadgets.
Here’s the secret on how to use a stainless steel skillet without your food sticking and/or burning: never add food (or cooking spray) to a cold or cool pan.
So, start by heating your stainless pan up nice and hot over high heat for a few minutes. Once it’s nice and hot, you can then lower the temp just a bit like med high heat. Then you can add your spray then add the eggs/food. Once you get good at this you will find you don’t even need the spray. Your food, including eggs, won’t stick at those temps. 🎉 Use this method anytime you are cooking with a stainless pan. Your food will come out so good and you’ll find you’re a much better chef than you thought!
Enjoy!!
Thank you. I'm 62 and never knew this.
i will second this! if you know how to do it properly, you will never want to use another pan.
Thanks for the tip! God bless
Thank you for that information from a 50 something in England 😘
All kinds of nice toys! Note: I've just opened up my van and then threw a tarp over the whole thing for a quick camp.
You have your van nice and cozy your van lovely, the lord says he will never leave you or forsake you. Stay safe and stay hydrated❤😊😊😊😊
It really does look comfy and cozy, and convenient too. Love the tiny lights.
Amen, thanks!
Looks like another great video.
Great "Gadget Guy" ur very talented. . Love ur keeping it simple and honest. Great channel ❤
Thanks Lisa, God bless!
I dont know how many times I have seen these videos but lets watch them again. AT LEAST 10 TIMES!!!!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
I think where the eggs went wrong were the heat (too high) and not enough fat/oil in the pan. But... It was edible. So 🤷🏾
You need a nonstick pan that’s it’s bro
Yeah it was my first time, I definitely learned from that experience lol
Next time make sure the pan is hot before you add the oil once the oil is hot then put in the eggs then you should not get any sticking
Also add little bit of butter!
Big foot did not steal the scooter! Lol 🦧 I love ur videos Matt! Always fun and adventurous! I could listen to you talk all night. Great job!
Same same 🙌❤
Thanks Diana, I enjoy making little jokes 😆
Loving the stroll down memory lane in the most cozy and safest of vans.😊💙
Tip for you... When we boondock I just put the frozen meatballs into my casserole dish with the sauce then place it with a lid into my Sabot Heat warmer on high. It's delicious, only dirties one dish and sips energy while cooking. Doing it this way allows the meatballs to soak up the sauce for more taste and tenderness. Also the lid can snap back on and go into the fridge for leftovers.
I’ll take any tips I can get, thanks!
Use butter when you cook eggs..those cooking sprays are useless..
Hey Matt
Always Enjoy Your Camping Videos .
Nice Van Set Up !!
Thanks Leonard, God bless you!
Been watching your videos for a few months now, got to say I love the content and appreciate you sharing your adventures, and how humble you are. I also always appreciate the bible verses. God Bless brother!
So glad you enjoy them, God is good! Stay blessed bro
8:50 with the ice set up, you can try just getting a normal fan and put in front of it a frozen water bottle, freeze an empty 2 litr milk bottle and put it in front of a fan. d.i.y
Just bought 2 of them Artic Air's for $15 bucks each from the clearance rack at walmat in Elk River. Still some left. You lucky dog getting a shout out from KENNY! Be kind, be honest LOL
Nice bro! I heard him mention my name but didn’t notice a shoutout, I wish he would lol. I’ve been talking to him since he had 3k subs and have shouted him out twice now. Great guy

@@TolbersCamping GOTCHA! Just subscribed to 82 and tiny cabin.
Hot pan, cold oil, food wont stick. Its not fool proof, but that's the rule.
A friend found an Arctic Air outside a dumpster. I love it! We're camped at Quartzsite, AZ and it makes a huge difference in our minivan. Like you said, folks are expecting an actual "air conditioner." They need to give it a fair trial because it does the trick in 98 plus temperatures. As for your omelet, a little oil & butter no cooking spray and less heat. Still looked good regardless.
Those Arctic air contraptions are a waste of money, in my opinion. Love your videos though!
Bro I dig ur channel ! I am a Christian also keep up the passages remember we’re the light of the world and the salt of the earth!!!!!’ But could you please get some fishing in?!?!?! I mean come on ur in Minnesota OH GEEZE
Amen bro and I plan to do some fishing this summer 😁

I’ve heard so many lol, Mac Miller has been the most common
Made my day, as usual! Thanks for letting us be part of your journey.
Glad to have you bro, God bless
love the video bro, would be great if you have some entertaiment, netflix or something.
So glad you enjoyed it bro!
the omlette needs butter in the pan not to stick
I see truck camping vids all the time but I can't justify the expense of a truck. Vans get much better gas mileage, cheaper insurance, appear to be comfortable, and still have a lot of cargo space. At 49 I don't really give a shit about looking cool so the more I see these van vids, the more I'm intrigued by them 👍
Some pans do stick. Has taken me 40yrs to cook omelette
Yeah I learn from my mistakes lol
How's it going Tolber. Excellent wholesome content as usual!
Come camping in New Zealand mate you'll love it!
Respect, mate. Take care!
Kia Ora!

Hey, it’s going great! God willing I’ll do some camping in New Zealand, stay blessed!
Omelets need more oil or butter on the bottom of the pan. Spray oil is not enough coverage.
Thanks, yeah I’m leaning
I appreciate the pro Christian values you have and positive attitude!! Have no doubt the Lord has sent you to inspire other people to turn to Christianity.
Thanks, I’m all about my Fathers business! God bless you

Thanks bro, definitely doing my best to make it a sweet setup
Hey! Looking great Matt! You are making me want to go camping! need to make plans for that real soon. thanks! oh pro tip on smores - instead of Hersheys chocolate - use peanut butter cups! God is good!
Hey thanks and I’ll have to try the peanut butter cups, sounds delish! God bless!
Another quality video brother 👌 a really great set up you got there, you ever come across a bear yet that you’ve had to deal with? Wat about 🐍 gotta be Rattlers out there right? Till the next one stay safe 👊🚐👊
Lotsa butter and low heat for perfect omelette. Catch n Cook vids will get you a plaque. Question: what are you using the two compartments under the rubber floor mat for??
I want Tolbers workout plan, he’s “jacked” !..good for u my man
Been trying bro, still got along ways to go
Thermacells are like GOLD in the woods.
Right lol
You gotta pre heat the steal pan first. To know its ready do a drop of water and see if it bounces...if yes you don't even need cooking spray
Stainless pans have pores, theyre not very good for omlettes, you need to heat them up enough first to where the pores have closed up and that will help stuff not stick but u will still need plently of butter or oil if youre cooking an omelette
It’s so good to see you Matt! Your van set up is awesome! Watching from- Newark Jersey. ✌🏻
Hey, thanks for watching!
Again, perfect timing. Last half hour of work and a camping video!!!
How do you charge your generators? With Solar?
Reupload?
You should try a homemade AC. Get a styrofoam cooler, dry ice, a pc fan, and a flexible aluminum duct. Cut 2 holes on each side of the cooler and find a way to get the one fan to stay that will be blowing air into the cooler. tape the duct to the cooler, put dry ice into the cooler, close it and turn it on. I'd always wanted to try it but where I live, there's no where to get dry ice.
Yeah I’ll have to try that sometime!
Tolbers sure love his lights
You bet!
I want to try those solar mosquito killers. it's hard to beleive they actually work. lol
They don’t do a lot but anything helps I guess lol
You're using the wrong skillet for eggs. Got use the ones that Black on the inside. It prevents sticking and burning..lmao
😂 yeah I’m leaning from my mistakes
I would definitely pick up some skillet pans real iron skillet skillet
Yeah I’m never using that pan again
I really appreciate it being shot in HDR.
Most of this is from an older video
It’s a combination of three van camping adventures where I used different devices to try and stay cool. Sorry if you are one of the few who have seen all three episodes. God bless
that was very good Matt, I love that setup in the van and that bike is great plus you cook a mean omlet 👍👍
lol thanks Rich, God bless brother
Bro what’s the name of that beast of a scooter lol?
Wow, an Artic Air! I still have a "first gen" model, when they first came out. And yes, it still works. Only prob I had with it was that model used a step-up transformer that took the 3.7 volt input (USB) to 5 volt output. The transformer was fried. Me, being an electronics techie nerd who refuses to lose, I made the innards to run full-time on 5 volts DC. I wasn't gonna throw the damn away, I liked it, despite that glitch in electro-engineering. I even added an addition fan. Works with the existing factory fan, which I rigged up as a "pull-pull" configuration. In English, this Artic Air pulls pulls, THEN pushes nearly twice its velocity (2x suck and blow, lol). Those are my pros (with my so-called mods and wannabe engineering). Cons? Only one, which is the small reservoir. Limited water/ice cube tank. Works great, a little FOG machine! But ya gotta keep tabs on water/ice refills. Yes, I live in a low-no humidity area--Arizona/Southern Cali, so my modded 2016-year Artic Air performs great! It has cooled a 250 square-foot bedroom with no issues. As for the newest Artic Airs? Yeah, I'm gonna buy one, to accompany my original AA!
Great video as always!
What's the thing you put on your car Antena?
Also, jw, how far do you usually drive from your apt to the campgrounds?
Thanks, that’s the outside temperature gauge. I just move out here so trying out a lot of campgrounds currently so they range from 30 minutes to 3 hours away
you have so many power suppies its just like being at home...How would you do as survivorman and no power? No shade, just wondering.
I’ve done all that bro, I just enjoying having a sweet off grid power setup the most. You definitely don’t need all that for the basics, propane or a simple fire outside can take care of alot.
Saw a guy looked just like you lol 😂😂 that would be funny if it was, I was literally pulled over figured on one of your videos and a guy jogged by and waved that looked exactly like you 🤯🤯
😂 wasn’t me as I haven’t went jogging in quite some time, but if you live local to Minnesota/North Dakota maybe it’ll happen at some point
Dude,LOVE your videos! Keep’em comin’ Bro!!! 👍🏻🙏💯
I really enjoyed this trilogy Matt. I learn so much from your videos and really appreciate it. Great idea to repost some prior ones together. Camp on! 😊
So glad you enjoyed it and yeah it gives people something to watch when I don’t have a new video. There will be a few that have seen them all and don’t like it but it helps build the channel and get a little income in also which will help me get another dedicated camping van soon.
This filmed this spring already? I'm only a few hours from you and our green leaves just filled out this past week or so.
It’s a combination of three past van camping adventures where I tried different devices to try and stay cool while camping off grid. Most people haven’t seen them all and helps draw new people to the channel. Unfortunately the Durango videos don’t do as well as the Van videos so can’t wait to get another van soon
Another great video, Matt! Did you finally get another van? God bless!
Nope but hopefully soon. This is a combination of three previous van camping adventures where I used different devices to try and stay cool off grid
You're a daredevil lol
I think stainless steel needs to get really hot before cooking or use a nonstick pan .. nice video and really nice Van 👍
Thanks, yeah some lesson were learned lol
Watch some chef Jean Pierre.
Have it suck in air from the actual van not hot air from outside. It’ll keep it cool much easier.
I’ll try that, but always heard that’s not good as it will then such the un cooled air directly from outside in all the cracks of the van instead of cooling the outside air first and taking out the humidity.
This video was super fun! I love all your videos but the scooter bro!
You didn’t like my scooter lol?
@@TolbersCamping no, I loved the scooter! It was sooo fun!
Why was the footage laggy and slow in spots throughout the video?
Hopefully it was just your internet connection and not RUclips messing up the video. I haven’t gotten to watch it all since uploading
Love when the van comes out. I got one myself.
Vans are the best 😁
I follow this channel because you are a fellow Christian.

A metal pan ? A beginner should try a Teflon pan
I agree, learned lesson 😁
First time viewer. I enjoyed this. Very chill and relaxing. Van setup looks great.
With the omelette, I'd use butter instead of the cooking spray. That's for certain. As for the method? I've tried the hot pan and then add butter and then dropped the temp down to low and cooked eggs reasonably well. I've also done eggs on a low heat for the whole process and they came out fine as well. Find what works for you. You'll learn how your heat source works and where the hot spots are. Grab the pan and move it around. Trial and error. You'll figure it out.
You mentioned you lost quite a bit of weight over the last 4 months. Congrats! Was this a conscious effort? What inspired it? How'd you do it? Again, first time viewer, I'll probably find the answers when I start watching the older videos.
Great stuff. I'm in.
Edit: I forgot to ask. What was the name of the solar bug zapper with the different color lighting that you had on the table in the first part of the video? I love the different light options it offers. Cheers.

Do u ever get lonely? That's what I'm concerned about when I think of doing van life.
Not really, I always have God with me and I live a very fulfilled life. It is normal to feel lonely at times though, just shouldn’t feel like that to often
@@TolbersCamping thank you so much❤️. I definitely appreciate that
Next time try a non stick with a bit more butter.
Forsure
Matt, consider wrapping the AC exhaust hose loosely with Reflectix twice around, since when cooling the van, the exhaust hose will get very hot and releast the heat into the front of the van.
Get a different frying pan. Hate stainless steel
Yeah I’m done with that pan
That omelet looks great!! It's all good! I'm enjoying watching your camping!! Thank you!!😊❤
Did I miss what happened to the SUV?
You’ll see it in the next video. This video is a combination of three past van camping adventures where I tried different devices to stay cool off grid.
U should try both of the ac in the van on a hot night in July … two ac one night .. see how cold u can it to full flat all night on both … heavy duty sleeping bag

Geez. Outstanding camera, also excellent camera skills - "cinematography".
Dude, save yourself the 40 bucks. Leave the cooling box open, put the fan in and boom - you have a cool van ;)
On the omelette maybe little lower temp, a non stick pan and little more butter in the pan.❤

Fun trip, Matt!
Another great camping trip Matt! Add butter and melt it first. Then let the eggs cook, flip before adding the ham and cheese… still looks yummy! God bless you !
I was gonna say that too. With stainless steel, you really need some kind of oil or fat - and nothing beats butter with eggs. In case they get dry, I like ketchup and tabasco on them. And if it doesn’t look like an omelette, just call it scrambled eggs. LOL Good first attempt at omelettes, they are tricky.
@@adriennetochter6873 I love Tabasco on my eggs too!…. Never use that non stick spray… it poison oils!… stick with butter and lower heat as to not burn the butter!

I didn’t bro, this was a combination of three past van camping adventures where I used different devices to stay cool. You’ll be seeing the Durango in the next video
@@TolbersCamping Okay, my dear brother, we are waiting for the next video, thank you
Omg the funniest thing happened. I am in bed watching your shows to get ready for a few day streak of work at the hospital in our ER department. So as I’m zoning out watching you, my husband turns the ac really cold to get ready to sleep for the night and it begins blowing the cold air from the vents on me just as you say it’s getting super windy we may have a storm coming. And for a split second I felt I was there with you watching the trees blow around and feeling the ac rushing in. The timing could not have been better. Lol.
Enjoy your videos, my husband knows I’m obsessed with van life but he isn’t, so I live the dream out of these videos but one of these days I’m getting my own minivan and converting it and taking it out on days off. I know another nurse whose husband doesn’t like it either so she just rented a Sprinter for a 8 day trek in Colorado to feel the van life. One of these days it will be my turn. :)
I know this was 2 weeks ago, but if you turn the flame down after the bottom part of the egg cooks and start flipping it, then the rest of the running egg from the heat of the PAN. We'll start to cook and it won't stick it back. Also, if you really heat up the PAN a lot, cause it's an aluminum PAN. Aluminum aluminum takes a long time to actually heat all the way through Before you put the food if you drop water in the PAN and it bouncer's around.I've now lacked just a couple of drops. And it bounces around the aluminum is ready
Omelet was sticking to the pan, so you probably had temp too high if you were using cooking spay. Depending on the type of pan, I'd suggest using oils instead of cooking sprays. Works better with stainless steal cookware from my experience
Hey man how much was that scooter I looks bad ass. Also you look like a big guy. I weigh in at 260. But I want one. Sorry if asking was out of line im just really interested in it. Love the channel l just rediscovered you since you tube has sent me no info about. New videos. Great job.
