I think Arthas' arc is one of the most successful "heroes turned villain" stories that have been told, if anything because it explores what happens after you succeed as a villain. In Warcraft III and The Frozen Throne it was kind of intriguing, exciting and fascinating, but by the time you've gotten to Wrath of the Lich King it's just tragic. He's succeeded in everything he's attempted to do, and what does he have to show for it? Just sitting around alone on a throne in a frozen wasteland.
That's very true, and it's also a believable transistion within the lore of that world, he was corrupted, cursed, which turned him. And by the end, we find out that he was still trying to hold on to some of his humanity, even while being cursed. I never really bought the turn of Illidan tbh, it just didn't feel right...
+Andrevus Whitetail He'll never find peace... (small) [SPOILER] And he will be tornmented nearly twice as much with legion, when all the DKs do their artifact questline...
This guy's got it ^ Arthas didn't have the 'very best' intentions and the clues were right there in the human campaign even before he went off the rails. Blizzard may have retconned that later with the novel, but meh.
It is true that he was arrogant but at the same time he cared for his friends, loved ones and his kingdom. If you are speaking of the Culling of Stratholme, there was no other choice. Up until he gripped that cursed blade he really had the best intentions for his kingdom. After that, he was was doomed, forever a pawn to the Lich King, his spirit fighting until the last moments of his life.

Eh no it was willingly. He was obsessed with killing that Dreadlord and stopping the plague. He knew the consequences of using Frostmourne, especially being a Paladin. He was a villain the moment he sacked Stratholme.
actually the purge of Stratholme was necessary, otherwise all the population would've become undead...... i personally think it was there that he thought he had failed to protect his people, and became obsessed with revenge..... aka killing mal'gannis.
AetherialGamer If it was the happiest time of his life was when he sat in his room playing world of warcraft and not spending time with family or friends... yeah idk sounds pretty sad
Well it would seem you failed to read that I said they were "some" of the best days of my life, equally as much as times I've had out of Azeroth which have also been SOME of the best days of my life. Besides, playing together with friends online is spending time with friends, especially when talking with each other on Teamspeak/Vent at the same time!
Arthas: They may look fine now, but soon they will turn into the Arthas. Arthas: What!? Arthas: This entire Arthas must be purged. Arthas: How can you even consider Arthas, theres got to be another Arthas. Arthas: Dammit Arthas, as your future Arthas, i order you to purge this Arthas. Arthas: You are not my Arthas yet, Arthas, nor will i obey that Arthas, even if you were Arthas. Arthas: Then i must consider this an act of Arthas. Arthas: Arthas, have you lost your mind Arthas. Arthas: Have i? Lord Arthas, by my right as succesion, and the soveringety of Arthas, i herby releave you of your Arthas, and suspend your Arthases from services. Arthas: You cant just... Arthas: Its done, those of you with the will to save this Arthas, follow me, and the rest of you, get out of my sight. Arthas: You just crossed a terrible threshold, Arthas. Arthas: Arthas. Arthas: I am sorry Arthas, i cant watch you do Arthas. M'aiq: M'aiq saw a Arthas today. Horrible creatures.
He wasn't always undead... :P But I think what he means is that Jaina had a son, and she gave that kid to Varian to raise as his own, because of reasons...
Go back enough years and I don't really think "underage" was a thing, sort of just seemed more acceptable, and would most likely occur during the teen years. (not warcraft wise, but enough years into our own histroy)
People who say Wow died with Arthas are people who played the game because they loved the story, the world and its athmosphere. With Illidan and Arthas dying, the (for the story) most important main protagonists are gone. People who complain about those people, play the game because of it's gameplay, etc. Arthas and Illidan are very similar - both talented young specimens of their race. Both just wanted to protect their people and have choosen questionable ways to archive that. Both sacrified a lot and in the end they both became something they never wanted to become. And they both died alone and their own people are glad about their death. *Update:* Many people replied, naming protagonists and antagonists which they wanted to be considered. I still stay with my opinion above, and here is my opinion to the named characters. *- Kil'jaeden:* I agree that he is an important character, who did a lot of things that are considerable when it comes to the story of Warcraft. Thanks for reminding me of him :) *- Sargeras:* The dead but still not totally-dead super villan, cause of most of evil things. Okay he's still there *- Azshara:* Without Azshara there would not have been the first war against the Burning Legion with all its consequences, that's true. But what did she actually DO? She did convince the elves that Sargeras is a good god. And one time she helped with the small portal with a twitch of her fingers. But that's it. As a elve queen, as well as a Naga, she was just sitting around. *- Old Gods:* I would not call them a character at all. More like an explanation from Blizzard, whenever something happend and could not be explained otherwise. "How did Neltharion become evil?" "And how did Azshara survive when she fell into the explloding well of eternity?" "Why are the elements evil?" and so on. If you are not of my opinion, I can totally accept that :) *- Deathwing:* Is he still alive? If yes, I agree with you, he is an important character. *- Cho'Gall, Garrosh, Turaylon, Alleria:* Did one of them do something important for the story? As far as I know: no. Please correct me if I'm wrong with that point. (Sorry for my English, it's not my national language. Feel free to correct.)
True: I forgot to mention Malfurion and Thrall - very important charakters. Arthas plays only a small, but a important part in the story. Illidans story is mentioned only very little in the games at all. Also, when it comes to the story, in WoW thing were changed just for the game.
Sigh. As if there were no great stories besides those of Arthas and Illidan. There are still a metric crapton of unresolved issues, incomplete stories within the Warcraft universe. To name a handful, what about Azshara and her naga, their capitol of Nazjatar within the Maelstrom? What about the old god N'Zoth? What about Sargaeras and the Burning Legion, who are most likely still trying to find a way to invade and destroy Azeroth? Also, it has been hinted a couple of times that Illidan would be resurrected and would have a redemption story and all that. Though personally, of all the WoW expansions, I did prefer WotLK over any other, mainly due to it's amazing lore, progression and themeing. I feel like MoP and even Cata felt like filler in terms of lore, that I can agree on. Even so, I want to believe Blizzard will continue telling epic stories in the coming expansions, and there's no fear they'll ever run out of ideas or subjects. TLDR; I agree to a point, the last few expansions have not been as rich in lore as Wrath and BC. Still, there's so much to tell that it's more than unfair to say that WoW's lore is dying.
God, I wish I could go back to wrath of the lich king. And I don't mean a private server. I mean go back to when WoW was 12 million subs. When all of this stuff was new.
Nostalgia,I'm crying. This game gave me more than a childhood, being a noob, doing anything I want, full intellect warriors... Every time I hear this theme I literally cry.
Still makes the hair on my arms stand up to this day.. Gives me chills down my spine. I miss Wrath of The Lich King and always will. This music is so beautiful.
My son, the day you were born, the very forests of Lordaeron whispered the name: Arthas. My child, I watched with pride as you grew into a weapon of righteousness. Remember, our line has always ruled with wisdom and strength. And I know you will show restraint when exercising your great power. But the truest victory, my son, is stirring the hearts of your people. I tell you this, for when my days have come to an end, you shall be King. - King Terenass Menethil II
there shall be no last expansion!but true the expansion after Warlords of dreanor should be based in Northrend because wow is goin in a circle vanilla,bc,wotlk, cata, mop, and next expansion is based in outland - but its called dreanor
Tom K Nope Outland is what Draenor became after the mass explosion.. We are heading to Draenor not because we want to but because we have to otherwise the Iron Horde will destroy everyone. After WoD i will be shocked if we go back to Northrend because i doubt it will happen i expect we will go to a Legion planet or the many islands left to explore in Azeroth (along with maybe Nazjatar rising).
For all the people claiming MoP to be a too 'happy' expansion, did you pay any attention to the quests at all? Horde invade their village, kidnap their children, both alliance and horde ravage their land, the mantid attack the Pandaren, the Yaungol attack the pandaren. Heck, you even see a tortured pandaren in town-long steppes, and then you see his wife crying next to him, and then she goes on a killing rampage and gets corrupted by the sha so you have to kill her aswell. That's some pretty depressing stuff if you ask me. :/ The fact is IT IS a serious expansion, and the Pandaren storyline IS serious.
You can't be serious with kung fu pandas. Nothing can be taken seriously. Everything in mop can be taken seriously, exept pandas. Replace pandas with another species and anything would have been nice.
Honestly I completely agree with you. If you kept everything the same but made Pandaren's a different race everyone would be fine with the story and content. replace it with Jinyu maybe? I mean, it didn't bother me considering this game already has gnomes and goblins so yeah?
Gabriel Gonçalves I call Bullshit because Pandaren We're introduced in warcraft and what movie wasn't out then oh yeah KUNG FU PANDA. It's more like they stole the idea from Warcraft than the other way around.
You know, I have been playing since Beta and I have got to say that WoW has come along way. I am one of those rare few who are actually GLAD that the Warcraft universe has come so far and don't bitch and moan about all how "WoW died with Arthas". Like, holy shit, stop crying and actually read up on the lore of the universe. You call yourself a Warcraft fan, but you can't seem to get the picture that the Burning Legion is still a threat and a bigger plot point then Arthas will ever be. We still have to fight Sargeras who is a fucking GOD! Its like fighting C'thun but probably harder. Though, I still remember that 1mil crit that floating eye ball used to fucking do....
Arthas probably resonated more with people because of his misguided goals that led him to becoming evil (something that made Star Wars popular). People sympathize with Arthas because we identify with him in some ways. On the other hand, the other plot points are just other races that seem to just want to fight/destroy the world, etc, etc.
finally some people who share my opinion ^-^ i joined wow after the beta and i think that all the new expansions weren't that bad. they were just different, but i liked them as much as I liked lich king.
The only thing Blizzard has never and will never fail at are cinematics, soundtracks and artwork! Truly amazing stuff, gives me chills every time I listen to this!
@Zero262 All of that could be Ner'zhul work, but there are few thing he did. At first, he sacrificed his friend just to get frostmourne, he culled the whole Stratholme, he killed his own humanity just for power. (Even if the Lordaeron wasn't his fault(he could be already possesed by nerzhul)).
@@HanithSVK lol he doesn't know that taking froustmourne will sacrifice muradin and strathlome was not bad idea he can't do anything else otherwise those people would have turned undead and about killing his own humanity...I think you forgotten that his good half soul was already consumed by froustmourne first and when he killed his humanity, that time he was with only his other half soul who was bad corrupted 😒
I am here just after playing the Legion intros, and I am so happy that Blizzard is finally giving Warcraft its deserved honor with storytelling, WoW up until Legion was a disappointement with the stories. In Warcraft 3 it took 30 hours for a Villain to be created, in Burning Crusade it was simply "Oh well yeah, people became addicted to Arcane and power and they became evil, end." This time World of Warcraft created entire scenarios for the sake of storytelling, good storytelling that is. Legion isn't even out and yet more stuff happened in the intro than it did since the beginning of WoW, so many new features, so many story corrections, so much nostalgia, great setting, great villains, so much effort given JUST FOR A PRE-PATCH. I can proudly say, that Legion is, and with this I mean BY FAR, the best Expansion that World of Warcraft has ever seen.
The Wrath of the Lich King story line was by far the best in the Warcraft series. I love the rise and fall of one of the greatest warriors in the world. His rise to power and eventual fall to becoming The Lich King and then his final death quote.
rexxar's not dead, illidan's not dead, tichondrious is not dead, Kel'thuzad (Will probably be back in the future), Maiev,Sylvanas,Malfuiron,Tyrande,Thrall,Cenarius

I remember being in a RP guild that focused around the Argent Dawn and we would sometimes RP during raids/dungeons against the Scourge in our Argent Dawn tabards. After WotLK, my guild kinda died and the fun really ended. For Lordaeron! For Arathor!

WOW died with WOTLK.. BEST PVP was in wotlk, Best arena seasons were WOTLK season.. best lore was WOTLK.. best atmosphere was WOTLK.. people who haven't played it and play now didn't even grasp the surface of this amazing MMO and didn't even tasted the best of it in it's greatest days.. RIP
Atmosphere is really an opinion. you probarbly played WC3 so you are more easily connected to the Arthas lore than people who didn't so in their eyes other expansions had better story's. PvP is still kind of the same. repetitive. And arena seasons are the last thing i care about in WoW. So WoW hasn't died yet. Not untill after WoD.
My son The day you were born, the very forests of Lordaeron whispered the name... Arthas. My child I watched with pride as you grew into a weapon of righteousness. This song makes me choked up. The song is filled with sorrow. Well, and just power that makes you feel like you could kick ass. But I focus on the sorrowful part, it's so good. Jesus I adore World of Warcraft so much.
Dzej Bee meh, same thing happened the expansion before, some people said WoW died with illidan(burning crusade) and then again people said it died with vanilla WoW ( WoW without any expansion) and then again people said the franchise was better when it was just an RTS. You see what I mean?
bluegad8 there will be group of ppl telling you that vanilla wow was the best but I think it's only because of the nostalgia. But the fact is that TBC brought tons of improvements to WoW and, in my opinion, it was the peak times of this game. WotLK at the beginning was also great but then, with every coming patch they brought more drawbacks than improvements. After I've killed Lich King there were nothing fun to do anymore. As Cataclysm came out, they crossed the border of my patience. I know that all what they're doing right now is to bring more new players to the game, no matter what. As a TBC player I just don't find this game even 10% as good as it used to be.
I think the vocal section really emphasised the tragic fall of Arthas and what he became. During the cinematic it was accompanied by images of Arthas walking alone through the snow - very powerful moment - how the mighty have fallen.
Rest in Peace, my true King ... thank you, you gave me best memories since i started play wotlk, you gave me good friends, and you gave me childhood that i loved, during the day i was out with friends, and evening i was on PC with them ... thank you again :) (sorry about my english xP)
"Our line allways rulled with strenght and wisdom" I love how Arthas is kind of a tragic hero. This piece of lore is a best thing blizzard ever created. If you go down the lore deeply (i highly suggest watching +Nobbel86 videos on Arthas history, or just Warcraft 3), you just instantly know, this is some oscar material right there!
How exactly did WoW die with him? It still has 7 million subscribers or so, I wouldn't say it died at all, it's only natural for an mmorpg to loose subscribers over time.
Common language (WoW) O Thanagor..... An Karanir Thanagor, Mor Ok Angalor. Mor Ok Gorum Palahm Raval. English Translation O King..... Long live the king, May he reign...forever. May his strength fail him never.
Such a great story. Arthas Menethil a former champion of the light, becomes the Lich king. Even if he died at the end, the bards will sing songs about him for many generations. Not for the crimes he commited but for his pure heart which has fallen to Darkness. Hail to the king of the frozen throne!
When I saw the cinematic trailer for WotLK the very first time I first got the most massive chills I've ever felt down my spine, and soon after came a few tears, because the atmosphere that falls over the whole scene when the girl starts singing, and arthas walks the barren cold landscape was too overwhelmingly sad :)
I miss the old WoW for the feelings he brought. Now, people are rushing the max lvl, the better stuff, roleplay is dead Ok, MOP [haven't play WOD so can't tell] have brought a lot of new things, and maybe improved WoW's gameplay as Cataclysm but real RP fans left WoW or at least missed Vanilla/BC/WOTLK
I remember being SUPER excited to get my hands on this expansion. The day is came out, I was in school and would draw nothing but death knight characters. lol It was a really great expansion. I really am not sure how I didn't have an anxiety attack.. that's probably the most excitement I've had in a while. :)
he is just corrupted human , a mere puppet with weak mind... why do people think of him like he is arthas... arthas "died" when he accepted frostmourne
TheHolyReality what Syros35 said is sadly true, and cannot be undone, but Arthas truly shouldn't have died in World of Warcraft. Arthas deserved more, I didn't, and I believe the whole Warcraft fan -community didn't want it to go down like this.
Actually if you read the lore carefully you will see when he took the helmet their souls merged and become one.Which means new lich king neither Arthas or Nerzhul. Also there was a quest line which you learn Arthas's soul becomes dominant over Nerzhul's.So ıt was almost Arthas with a corrupted mind and it is not wrong to say we played against Arthas rather then Nerzhul.
Anıl Maral Certainly an interesting story and character. I always thought of him as more Nerzhul because there was a quest in which you encounter him through shamanistic power and he talks about how he was once not unlike a shaman.
when i die i want this soundtrack play on my grave stone and then resurrect and tell blizzard hq teams " i want more...i want warcraft 4 now...my soul still hungers!! "
I remember back in the days when WotLK was current content how me and my friends always used to bash the game for how poor it had become, how we wanted TBC back... It's been a while since and to be honest, as of right now, lore wise (and everything else really) WotLK was a fucking awesome expansion probably the best ever IMO. WotLK > TBC > Pandaria/Vanilla >>>>>> Cata. A lot of ppl say vanilla was the shit, and it was but I think it's mostly just nostalgia. From a PVEers perspective.
People were SO FUCKING ADDICTED to this game in Wrath of the lich king, that god for the current expansions for not being as good, because I wouldn't have a job if they were. I am a bit scared WoD will get my addicted again though
After watching the most disappointed wow cinematic EVERY created (Shadowlands). I realy needed to lissen to this soundtrack. Arthas is needed to purge Sylvanas out of existence, for once and for all.
I'm still hoping Arthas is coming back in any shape or form just to fuck Sylvanas in the ass hard. In the last 2 expansions Sylvanas became such a shitty character that it's not even funny. Just get rid if her already Blizzard!
@@Darkyan97 I know right..The only reason i think i'll play this expansion, is to roll a DK and kill Sylvanas, after that il put my account to rest. "An Karanir Thanagor, Mor Ok Angalor"
arrogance shall be punished. push the frostmourne through their chest, for they shal suffer eternal pain and never ending inprisonment in a blade that doesnt have to share this much place considering how many souls it woelds lol
never heard anyone say "I'm more hardcore" most ppl who have played since beta/vanilla talks a lot about "the good old wow days" :) many of the old players miss the old feel and that it was actually hard to play wow, you needed skills and patience to beat bosses etc. That's what beta/vanilla players mean mostly, at least those I know :)

And by the end, we find out that he was still trying to hold on to some of his humanity, even while being cursed. I never really bought the turn of Illidan tbh, it just didn't feel right...

He was a monster who slaughtered everyone in the end simply he was too arrogant to accept he was wrong when he sailed to Northrend in the first place.

Mats Palmér What's sad about really enjoying a video game?
Mats Palmér Yeah man why is that sad? I think its sad that you had to say anything about his life cause after all it is his.
+Prageon What the arthas?

In my heart, WoW will always rule forever ;-; I don't care if another game comes along and steals all its thunder, WoW will always be the best MMORPG.
Still rule though....

Arthas WHYYY Q-Q HE WAS MY FAVORITE VILAIN
Rachel St-Onge Rest in peace brother we will find the way how to rescue you
thrameshin trolík I don't even care if it kills everyone and destroys every city in Azeroth we just need Arthas's epicness back ;-;
Rachel St-Onge ye ;_; rescue him like kel'thuzad
thrameshin trolík there is no way to resurect him. He impaled his heart on Tirion's Ashbringer therfore his undead curse is gone forever
golumpygo I still miss him so much ;-;
WotLK gave me so much... thank you Blizzard !
to me too :(
"Arthas, my son....
you are a complete douchebag"
-King Terenas Menethil
+Oliver Reeves That took a turn lol
Tell them only that the Lich King is dead and that World of Warcraft died with him. Now go leave this game and never return..
+Jordan Amman arthas, thrall, illidan those are all i care about.....rip arthas
+Andre Martins illidan is back.
+Jordan Amman Legion... WoW is not dead
+Jordan Amman Wow never dies but the warcraft 3 parts is dead with the LK, and it will never be the same again.
+Jordan Amman Wow never dies but the warcraft 3 parts is dead with the LK, and it will never be the same again.
"Take this... to MY SON."
It's creepy when you realize Anduin may be Arthas' illegitimate son... there are even many theories and hints of it.
Thanks for reminding me of him :)
*- Sargeras:* The dead but still not totally-dead super villan, cause of most of evil things. Okay he's still there
*- Azshara:* Without Azshara there would not have been the first war against the Burning Legion with all its consequences, that's true.
If you are not of my opinion, I can totally accept that :)
*- Deathwing:* Is he still alive? If yes, I agree with you, he is an important character.
*- Cho'Gall, Garrosh, Turaylon, Alleria:* Did one of them do something important for the story? As far as I know: no. Please correct me if I'm wrong with that point.
(Sorry for my English, it's not my national language. Feel free to correct.)
Such potential, wasted. Their stories actually kind of depress me.
Arthas and illidan :'( 4ever in my heart
Illidan and Arthas are dead...and this is sh*t...i played warcraft III and frozen throne but this is the end for Illidan and Arthas? I was crying...
Yeah, best times ever! Except for the Starcraft II launch ;)
back to before they launched patch 3.3
WoW died in my eyes when Blizzard introduced the gay ass blood elves and made paladin and shaman accessible to both factions.
yes, the 20% nerf in cata... what chaotic time ._.
now its going up again just like our life. bad moments and good ones,
You either die a hero... or live long enough to see yourself become the villain
Nostalgia,I'm crying.This game gave me more than a childhood,being a noob,doing anything I want,full intellect warriors...
- King Terenass Menethil II
i think this is the first time when i saw a protagonist becoming an antagonist... what a great scenario...
Star Wars? Anaken? Darth Vader? Hmm..
ahh yeah, forgot :P but i like w3 more than startwars:P
I'll be honest I prefer Star Wars over W3, but not the entire Warcraft universe.
Hero turns into a villain? Thats even older than the bible.
breaking bad is like the greatest example ever
Wrath of the Lich King was the best expansion to a game for generations to come.
I'm hoping Warlords of Draenor will be great
there shall be no last expansion!but true the expansion after Warlords of dreanor should be based in Northrend because wow is goin in a circle vanilla,bc,wotlk, cata, mop, and next expansion is based in outland - but its called dreanor
***** it's not based on outland, it actually is outland before the planet got wrecked by all the portals being opened :)
***** The Outland is part of Draenor.
"What are you doing my son?"
"Succeeding you, father."
Yeah... but still... kung fu panda...
Yolo Swaggendoodle I know, but still, it's fucking ridiculous... it's almost worst than a Rogue Tauren
You are my hero, Jason...
Finally one, who shares my opinion..
finally some people who share my opinion ^-^
i joined wow after the beta and i think that all the new expansions weren't that bad. they were just different, but i liked them as much as I liked lich king.
Exactly the same I think :)
I'm excited to play the new Expansion soon
infernomines Like say Illidan? Who is still out there... Arthas's story is one of my favorites but it is hardly the last or best.
The only thing Blizzard has never and will never fail at are cinematics, soundtracks and artwork! Truly amazing stuff, gives me chills every time I listen to this!
7 years later; Blizzard's art team are literally the only thing keeping them afloat.
*Finishes icc*
Bolvar: Leave and do not return!

Bolvar:Leave and do not return!
Me: Dammit invincible didnt drop.
Haha, yeah, whenever he says that, I just follow it with "...until next week when everything resets!"
so lucky ;-;
Sadly this. Still don't have that accursed thing. It's soul-wrencing after 10 freaking years.
Arthas did nothing wrong
Filthy scourge lovers
lol how is ruining Lordaeron not wrong
Since Landing in northrend sadly he did everything wrong....
This soundtrack is SO EPIC.
I love WoW music, and Arthas' story!!!!
The people behind WoW's music are geniuses.
"Arthas, My Son" and "Invincible". Two of my favourite soundtracks of WoW.
The Wrath of the Lich King story line was by far the best in the Warcraft series. I love the rise and fall of one of the greatest warriors in the world. His rise to power and eventual fall to becoming The Lich King and then his final death quote.
Forever the most badass character in WoW.
Miss Wrath of the Lich king expansion so bad :( it was srsly good old times :(((
Its a little bit sad that so many Warcraft 3 character already died. 😭
+DarkCounterLP Time moves on my friend
except from thrall, he his never gonna die
+Kyle Sibley and Jaina

Immer diese brutale Gänsehaut... wegen einem Spiel :D
Richtig extrem, aber war ja auch das beste AddOn bisher, und da Blizz keine Server zur Verfügung stellen will, Rising Gods regelt :D
Even when I sadly did not play WotLK, I still get goosebumps from hearing this... So much power!
Arthas will always be in my heart
0:39 when i hear this part and im getting flash backs of so EPIC moments in this freaking game
I thought the person doing the vocal was a girl. After realizing that it was a boy, I fell off my chair
Yes, it represents Athas's life. Starts with a calm little boy and ends with chaos. Truly a beautiful storyline.
Arhtas: Glad u could bake it uther..
Uther: watch ur tounge with me boy, u may be waiter but iam still ur suprior as a chef.
Arthas: As if i could forgetti.. listen Umami... there is something about the plaguette you should knead.
Oh no... we are to late! These peopleroni make look al dente now, but its only a matter of thyme before they turn into the unedible!
Umami: What?!
Arhtas: This entire citrilla must be purged!
Umami: How can u even cook this?! There got to be some other whey.
Arthas: Dam it Umami! As ur furtur Chef i order u to broil this city!
Umami: Ur not my Chef yet, boyardee. Nor would i obey that order even if u were.
Arthas: Than i must consider this ... as an act of seasoning!
Umami: Seasoning?! Have u sauced ur mince Arhtas?!
Arthas: Have I? Chef Umami, by my right and the sovereignity of the crown of roast pork, I hereby rehydrate ur commandare and supenderoni your pepperroni from service!

lol ok.
Umami: You jsut tossed a terrible salad arhtas!
HAHAHA Fantastic :D
WoW is still as awesome as ever, and this is just a reminder of the good times we've had in the past! This game's music is so rockin'.
I remember being in a RP guild that focused around the Argent Dawn and we would sometimes RP during raids/dungeons against the Scourge in our Argent Dawn tabards. After WotLK, my guild kinda died and the fun really ended. For Lordaeron! For Arathor!
Both Arthas and Ner'zul doomed their own people before the transformation , the same people that they were trying to save
Hail to the one true King.
Hogger!!!
1:11 - My son, the day you were born, the very forests of Lordaeron whispered the name Arthas.

RIP
I feel for you because u didn't play vanilla.
i play since late vanilla
Atmosphere is really an opinion. you probarbly played WC3 so you are more easily connected to the Arthas lore than people who didn't so in their eyes other expansions had better story's. PvP is still kind of the same. repetitive. And arena seasons are the last thing i care about in WoW. So WoW hasn't died yet. Not untill after WoD.
legendary weapons were never fair :)
My son

the greates king of all ! (in my opinion)
but like all
remember my son:
No king rules forever
This song makes me choked up. The song is filled with sorrow. Well, and just power that makes you feel like you could kick ass. But I focus on the sorrowful part, it's so good.
Jesus I adore World of Warcraft so much.
¡Masterpiece! The Best Expansion ever :)
This storyline influenced my entire childhood. Thank you, Blizzard!
"My son, what are you doing?!" "Succeeding you, father!"
World of Warcraft died with Arthas
Farwell
Sadly, I have to agree with you.
Dzej Bee meh, same thing happened the expansion before, some people said WoW died with illidan(burning crusade) and then again people said it died with vanilla WoW ( WoW without any expansion) and then again people said the franchise was better when it was just an RTS. You see what I mean?
bluegad8 bulshit, like nobody said "WOW died with Deathwing", cuz Cataclysm SUX
TELL THEM THE LICH KING IS DEAD AND THAT WORLD OF WARCRAFT DIED WITH HIM
bluegad8 there will be group of ppl telling you that vanilla wow was the best but I think it's only because of the nostalgia.
This expansion is the most powerful reason why the World of Warcraft is the best game!
In Every Death Knight.. There is a Piece of My Soul...
All these years later, and it still gives me the chills every time!
I think the vocal section really emphasised the tragic fall of Arthas and what he became. During the cinematic it was accompanied by images of Arthas walking alone through the snow - very powerful moment - how the mighty have fallen.
Remebered me of the time i was hiking in the mountains in norway lol
Tano shiii live in Norway :D
0:39 Give me chills, goosebumps and almost tears each time.
I agree, the vocals are so INCREDIBLY powerful...
e-p-i-c 👌
LK =BEST of WOW
This always makes me teary eyed! All hail!
Rest in Peace, my true King ... thank you, you gave me best memories since i started play wotlk, you gave me good friends, and you gave me childhood that i loved, during the day i was out with friends, and evening i was on PC with them ... thank you again :) (sorry about my english xP)
"Our line allways rulled with strenght and wisdom"
I love how Arthas is kind of a tragic hero.
Good mmo still.. But Story is dead only idiots play now sorry if u are one of them.. didnt mean noting bad...
Lol, of course you didn't mean anything bad. You're just a moron
well you are kid.... :)
92Cope Whats wrong with being a kid? :.(
92Cope I play for pvp, fuck the story and lore. Sorry you were stuck on moonguard
0:40 - 1:20 this part is stunning
My Son, I tell you this.
For when my days have come to an end.. You, shall be.. King.
"Power alone is not to be feared. Fear instead, those who wield it!" -Frost Lich, Jaina
Common language (WoW)
O Thanagor.....
An Karanir Thanagor,
Mor Ok Angalor.
Mor Ok Gorum
Palahm Raval.
English Translation
O King.....
Long live the king,
May he reign...forever.
May his strength
fail him never.
When my time has come to an end.....you shall be... KING.....
The little voice singing in the begining was sang by a little boy.
World of Warcraft's Absolute Peak
legion is RNG slot machine shit with weaboo duntards gtfo
Imagine this as the beginning or ending soundtrack for the wrath of the lich king movie(if we ever get one)
I miss the old WoW for the feelings he brought. Now, people are rushing the max lvl, the better stuff, roleplay is dead
Ok, MOP [haven't play WOD so can't tell] have brought a lot of new things, and maybe improved WoW's gameplay as Cataclysm but real RP fans left WoW or at least missed Vanilla/BC/WOTLK
Sora Nii-san And people never rushed before? Arthas died the first day he was released lol. You're blinded by nostalgia
There is a difference between rushing a RP event and becoming lvl max in one week.
RP in WoW is dead
Sora Nii-san This is so ignorant i cant believe it. Why is RP any diffrent now? Basically as Solaxe said ur just blinded by nostalgia
I already said it, u have no argument
Sora Nii-san I agree with them. I'm an RPer. RP is NOT dead.
I remember being SUPER excited to get my hands on this expansion. The day is came out, I was in school and would draw nothing but death knight characters. lol It was a really great expansion. I really am not sure how I didn't have an anxiety attack.. that's probably the most excitement I've had in a while. :)
My son... The day you were born... The very spirits of the forest whispered the name...
"Arthas."
he is just corrupted human , a mere puppet with weak mind... why do people think of him like he is arthas... arthas "died" when he accepted frostmourne
Actually, Arthas died when the Lich King was defeated and Arthas' father appeared and Arthas said "Father, is it over?"
Sacrilege! Blasphemy! Dont you dare to mention things from world of warcraft like its in the same league with warcraft 3!
me too!!!
"Stupid ICrown, I get no service here"
Rest in peace Warcraft 3.
Rest in peace Arthas.
If you're PvP-er, don't worry about it. It certainly wont.
Just be melee and you will have no problem at all! :O
Tell them the Lich King is dead, and that World of WarCraft died with him.
Just kidding, WoW is still great.
lol
"no expansion rules forever, my son"
Jacksson The Worgen we still have orcs, at least, lel !
Svart Hert
bad thing I'm tired of orcs, lel.
Jacksson The Worgen Is it possible, really ? x)
Svart Hert yes.. I want every race to be part of the game u kno
Long live the King! May his reign last forever! May his Strenght fail him never!
This song makes me love Wrath all over again.
I hate those people who say: i play wow since beta... So i am hardcore and better than you.
Honestly i played since beta but i would never brag about it nor would i say something like that its not cool
arrogance shall be punished. push the frostmourne through their chest, for they shal suffer eternal pain and never ending inprisonment in a blade that doesnt have to share this much place considering how many souls it woelds lol
never heard anyone say "I'm more hardcore" most ppl who have played since beta/vanilla talks a lot about "the good old wow days" :) many of the old players miss the old feel and that it was actually hard to play wow, you needed skills and patience to beat bosses etc. That's what beta/vanilla players mean mostly, at least those I know :)
Rikke Togeskov like me:)
I only bring it up when i want to show my time played.. i use as a landmark with the current expansion being a milestone..
