Maybe it's the difference what fitters do in other country's but in our country most of the time you TIG tack the fittings/pipe by yourself instead of let a welder do it.
weld neck flange, reducer, pipe, tee, and flange two holed and leveled, now measure it and remember shrinkage when welding, oh and the next flange on the bullhead of the tee, looks like you guys have did this before good job with the tig torch and fitting, I usually use squares and a level but like you sometimes I use just a level.
Must be a union shop you always roll out fittings to fittings first . The branch on the Tee to flange should have been welded out first . then the spool fitted and welded . that way everything is rolled . If one can always fit to roll out as much as possible life is easier
unless its rack pipe at a nuke plant, there's nothing wrong with any of this man's fitting. Wish I had more people on my crews that exhibited his confidence in the trade. the only things he could have done to better it would be to recheck the 2-hole on the end flanges, and roll the bull to the side to verify the 2-hole with the level of the run, or fit it in that position to begin with. but you union boys are being overly critical - give half of you the opportunity and you'd do the same thing
Damn good jobs. One lil error no biggie. Need to use gloves n that small orange table you got put ur tools their. Less running around other then that u a good hand. Nice work.
no overalls ? no gloves???????? where s ur safety gear ..... why didnt u put a stand under the flange when gettin it tacked??? lets the tools take the strain not ur back......no fox wedges ??/ to prevent the tack pullin the flange in when tacked ???
im a union pipefitter/welder been for 12 years & sorry thats not how u tack a flange on a tee!!! u don't eyeball it!!!! hope the fitter isn't union!!!!! PROUD TO BE UNION!!!!!!!!!!!! local 502 louisville ky
Sometimes you just have to follow the blueprint. I see a whole lot of weird and possibly stupid decisions in technical drawings in my work but it is not my call to defy them. Usually there is some reason to it. One being that you just cant get the part in time for the job. Recently we got 12mm thick Stainless T-branches that has to be welded to 2.6mm thick pipe just because they couldn't find thinner walled stuff in short enough time.
Again major point out, a real pipe fitter doesn't weld or let anyone weld around them without the proper gear. Congratulations, you just bombarded the other guy with UV Radiation. lets how your not using Cr6 wire.
well this is for shore a really workshop and working with a good tools ,keep on going
Been in the same shop for over 6yrs now, never been laid off....that's a real pipe fabricator,

Gravy prefab work, every welder and their brother want this work.
Shut your fucking face douchebag
Who is the guy that walked in then out of the shot? Gary?
You need to try our Condell clamp to speed up the fitting process
Did he seriously just eyeball the two hole on that flange 😂
I like useing the one hole method on the 150-300 lbs flanges mutch better :)

Woman work.
Why does it take two blokes to do this simple job, why did they not use a branch bend instead of the ugly weld tee, its one less weld
