Despite his enormous success, I always found him a most modest gentlemen. Hope you fellow fans agree. There was never a trace of arrogance about him. Still remembered and loved David. England, November, 2023.
Being David Bowie. I'm madly in love with him. Death takes nothing away from David, who continues to live in my heart, so young, beautiful, funny, exciting, unique and legendary. ⚡️✭💫
I am afraid I didn't appreciate what we had until he was no longer among us. I have heard various Bowie "tributes" and none of them cut the mustard. I am now discovering David Bowie's music for the first time, thanks mainly to my partner.
Kev ElBeatle going through his catalog is mind blowing. He was so good at so many genres. And Young American is one of the best soul/funk records ever.
The mere fact that his passing is such a substantial loss to the musical and cultural sphere is truly beyond words or comprehension. We will never see another artist of his caliber again....
Oh Sterling & Mike make something stunning fly off into a divine moving magnificent place, taking us to an even more stunning place. Gosh I miss you David Bowie. 🥲
I love this song for so many reasons, and one of which is it's ascending first bar. It's hard to describe; it's as if you are introduced to the song when it's already going on.
+Martin Zaehringer David always loved those "awkward notes" in music. You can't say the ascending very smooth, but it just gave much more fun to the ears because its awkwardness.
As a musician myself, that's always been the intruiging part of David's music. Listen to "Life on Mars". The chord structures are sometimes inverted, OR he writes the next chord, which you would expect to be in sequence, completely out of order. Those changes as he wrote them, made for very interesting playing and eventually tied the various pieces of the song together. Another example is Blackstar, his last album. The song is basically two songs//two parts. David Bowie simply said, had talent way way beyond mere mortals (for more insight, see the Mike Garston interview where he goes in-depth on this topic)
+cyberopbug I am very interested in the Mike Garson interview that you mentioned. Can you please tell me which interview it is? Thank you. Come to think about it, the beat of this song [ashes to ashes] is very interesting too.
( FULL) NOWMAN Show: David Bowie Tribute - pianist Mike Garson This is one of several interviews you will hear Mike talk about David's music writing abilities. Contact me if you need more at Cyberopbug@aol.com
Wow so long time ago. I am so happy to discover this. Let see. Hum 2002 Montreal jazz. I was in Ville d'anjou just east of down town Montreal. So missing those days and David Bowie. RIP.
Despite his enormous success, I always found him a most modest gentlemen. Hope you fellow fans agree. There was never a trace of arrogance about him. Still remembered and loved David. England, November, 2023.
💯
In his younger days he performed quite strictly and aloof. After sobering up his natural personality came thru.
Diese Zeit wird niemals mehr wiederkommen. Aber ich bin stolz es gelebt zu haben
totally one of the most original compositions that test boundaries of what is art and commercial at the same time
One of the top 25 rock songs of all time. Sung by the coolest cat ever.
Good lord, this is beautiful. Sooo beautiful. Missing you always, dear David. So much

Kev ElBeatle going through his catalog is mind blowing. He was so good at so many genres. And Young American is one of the best soul/funk records ever.
genius that s it;;..
A fusion of rock and funk...being played at a jazz festival. That pretty much sums up Bowie's musical genius.
Music Royalty! You are missed Major Tom. RIP......
J’adore il me semble que cette voie viens du plus profond de lui je suis transporté à chaque fois que je l’entends
The mere fact that his passing is such a substantial loss to the musical and cultural sphere is truly beyond words or comprehension. We will never see another artist of his caliber again....
