Amy's version of Chaos Control is particularly powerful because it always lasts for the maximum duration, and it disables the opponent's input rather than stopping time (they can still hold up to speed up the timer). This means that stopped opponents can still be attacked by non-player enemies and will keep their momentum for a while, often resulting in failing a jump or getting shot down and having to respawn at a checkpoint. Metal Sonic has to try to lose a grinding race. I don't often use "broken" to describe character balance, but I would expect him to win on Sky Rail and the Pyramid grind race every time. You can dig to escape "Black Wave" and similar moves in the hunting games.

Sonic adventure games have not aged well at all while a boost game like unleashed has. Guess this serves no purpose asa comment at the end but honestly Sa2 level design is not that great and you can't even break it like frontiers wikth homing boost and spindash. SA2 speedrunning is top tier and physics are probably the best in the series but none of this was utilized in meaningful ways where in SA1 for the most part its physics and movement systems were fully utilized aside from maybe amy cause amy has quake physics for some reason in SA1?
In kart racing, you enter drift mode by letting go of the drive button and holding it again when you're still at top speed, and yes that's extremely unintuitive and I hate it
