Becca, so great to have you back posting videos! We’ve missed your commentary, and excellent views of places we may never go. (Not this trip though - I camped with my folks a bunch at Ft Steven’s back in the ‘60’s, and am very familiar with that section of the Oregon Coast. My HS senior “skip day” was at Short Sands (Oswald West St Park). All very familiar views this time. Love it!
Oh neat, we were on the OCT at the same time! Really curious to see how you managed with all the logistics. I stopped at the hiker camp first day and thought 23 miles on day one was pretty good, so it's wild to me you did 40 miles with those two mountains in the way.
Just finished watching this hike what a beautiful coastline hike and 40 miles covered is an amazing accomplishment can’t wait to see what’s ahead on this hike if anyone can cover big miles with very little problems it’s definitely you for sure happy trails !
This is a good surprise. This trail fascinates me, and it's good to see another channel manifest after some time away. Be safe out there. And God luck with the fkt.
HOT DIGGITY😊 So glad to see you back on here and doing what you love. Even with the overcast skies that was still a pretty stretch of trail. Loved when you were talking about the pay-off on a summit, etc. For me, like you it's the challenge then the sense of accomplishment once there. It truly is good to see you back Ms Becca😊 See ya next video, take care❤
Good to see you back. I think that it was 2 years ago that you did some very impressive 30+ mile days on the CDT. You should have no trouble with this. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
I missed your videos since your AT attempt. I have done the Oregon coast, in sections, from Fort Stevens at the jetty, south to Hobbit Beach trailhead near Heceta Head lighthouse. during that Tillamook trailhead section you are doing to Ecola State Park, I saw a couple of whales breaching at a rare view down to the ocean. Florence is my next section coming up. will be following this FKT attempt. blessings, Ron
Ahhh, it was a log board incident!? I am not surprised, those smooth, damp trail boards are treacherous when wet, tree roots and rocks as well! I am surprised that the folks who maintain that section of the trail dont cover them with wire mesh, or use a chainsaw and cut some tread into the walking surface, ridiculous. I live in Maine and frequently encounter those types of trail boards, I often walk on the ground, if I am able (I know, I know, I dont have to tell you anything!). Welcome back, be safe and good luck! Lovely video, as usual, thanks!
It sure is good to see you on trail again. I was thinking about you.I been watching a few people on the CDT this year.Did you finish the CDT?I watched you on that trail. But I don't know if you finished or I missed some.Keep smiling.
Question on logistics: how do ferry/boat rides across bays factor into this? With some, you can't really know ahead of time if a ride will be available. Do you take them if they're available, or always do the road walk alternatives, or what? It's kind of a weird situation since both alternatives are considered part of the official route. EDIT: disregard, I saw the note about this issue in your 2nd video =)
@@littleskittlehikes No videos? You were amazing to follow on the AT, can't tell you how disappointed I was when updates stopped. If you have any footage I'm sure people would appreciate seeing it. Anyway, good luck with this new trail, looking forward to watching.
@@littleskittlehikesIt's great to see you back out there doing what makes you smile. We have missed your beautiful face. I wish you the best on your attempt for the FKT. You've got this girl.
See we have your normal standard of video posted once more 😁 Did not know of FKT interesting to find out about it and can see why it would appeal to you !! But not to me for me the trail is not about the middle class acheavment game its more about ....fuck it I don't give a shit 🤪

Glad to have your posting and excited for OCT videos! (There aren't many out there!). Good call with Hug - it has to be LOW LOW tide to get around it.

You might want to consider acquiring some trekking poles. It will make your hike much better and less stressful on your knees.
Wow I was just there!
Happy to see you are back.
I couldn't tell from the video. Are you still using Altra shoes? 😊
Yep, took Superiors on the OCT 👍
Hey LS, Did you like the trail? I live in Bend and have always wanted to do this one. Thoughts?
Did you ever finish your AT hike?
Sure did 👍

So nice to see you back. Good luck with the fkt, you can do it!
It would take me a year to do that trail. Best mushrooms on earth in that area.
