Lyrics:
Start the game and breaking all that came
You know that you have lost out the second you delay
Believe the key it lies in your biology
Rising up the temperature useless (parsing) technology
Park the car and walk under the stars
So god damn afraid to let down your guard
You can see I’m talking b-b-bout me
That’s just what it is like in the wild fire
It’s me, me, me, I am more that what you see
Pouring out my cranium on the m.i.c.
I’m gonna come in harder, to the thirsty, bringing water
Thought you wanted it to get higher but you’re in the wild fire now
Someone told you that you had no chance
People told us it would never transpire
You can be defeated in advance
Just let them all burn in the wildfire
Let me tell you what you might not know
When the chips are down I mean lower than low
You might think this dude won’t show
Cuz I've done robbed Knox and took all the gold
Well holmes I’ve come with my squad and we’ll get in the mix
and you can pray to your god but your god can’t fix
How I look at this world and if I am crying
it’s cuz I’m at the bank of love and I’ma die laughing haha
Whether you think you can whether you think you can’t
Either way you’re right
Tell ya, whether you think you can whether you think you can’t
Brother you’re right on
Someone told you that you had no chance
People told us it would never transpire
You can be defeated in advance
Just let them all burn in the wildfire
Life, goes on and on
The decisions, so many times they make themselves
And then the aftermath you cannot take it back
Your point of view is everything
That you’re making, rude awakening
Hate to be the one to tell you so
I thought that you should know
Cuz that’s what I’m here for
Told you I’d never go
And when the morning comes
You know I’ll still be here
One thing you should not fear
Whatever things that come
Through the rain
And the sunshine and the pain
We’ll look back and smile
When all is said and been done
When the song is sung
This song is a true masterpiece, a gem crafted from ingenuity and free flowing creativity. 311 has, and will continue to GREATLY inspire!!! My favorite song on Mosaic. This and Starshines make my neck snap during a live show. Second to Face in the Wind. Love you 311!!!
Just caught this song live in Bend Oregon ..my first time hearing it at a show ..it was already a fave but I think it might be my all time favorite now. It's an actual epic journey.
This song is a ripoff of Bonfire by Knife Party
@@sk8n854 No I did not. It's completely blatant. The beat, the bassline, the guitar upstrokes, even the vocal flair timing and style. It features a build and drop in the exact same way.
It's comically blatant.
@@sk8n854 Didn't miss a damn thing. A tribute to another track is one thing, this is not that.
i remember when transistor released. no one quite knew what to say. the masses expected another blue album. it was an evolution like no one expected. 311 continues to venture and explore uncharted territories w every record.
David Paul well said sir dood
Great Times forsure
You said it brother.
When transistor was released, my musical awakening began
Yea!! Transistor they did themselves with their new gear that the label provided them with the money for, and then they’re set, ya know?!. Transistor is my favorite album and I think one of their Peaks as far as their writing goes. I will say I’m digging this album so far.
Rock music that kicks ass and has positive messages.
I've been listening to these guys and seeing them live since 1994. I never comment online. Check for yourself. This song is worth a comment. It is the culmination of all of their styles, 30+ year of being friends, 30+ years of playing together. Their last two albums have taken musical creativity to a whole new level. It is great to experience. I've met these guys -Mahoney (think he may have hit that headbando). They were as great as their music. Thank you SA, for the art. Great to see friends playing music together as well as an engineered spacecraft!
They stole the beat from another artist. Look up knife party - bonfire. That song came out 5 years before this one and they match up 100%. One of their new songs is also stolen.
The solo at the end is str8 🔥
Nice post dude. Thumbs up.
@@bluevsred415 OMG dude you’re right! They also stole Crossfire. God only knows how man songs they’ve ripped off.
You know crossfire was a mistake and they know it too and publicly acknowledged it lol no they have not made a career of stealing other people's songs
This is a top 10 311 song, in my opinion. Everything about this song is badass. Some might not like Nick's reggae toasting, but I think it works, and I love it for this song. SA's rap is spot-on.
skiing311 i love his reggae toasting
Agreed! Up until 2:30 is absolutely fantastic - love that funky sound. The end is just OK.
This is bottom tier for 311
Ray Lanza what are you listening to man

the best song on the album
Love the garage reggae jam into!!!!
Ready in T-Minus 2 and a half hours before showtime. Chilly weather but nothing like a cool summer breeze to relax to tonight at the show.
sick!!!! hail 311
OH HELL YES! 311 FOR LIFE! @3:30.... Wildfire is culmination of 311's Maturity and Intellect..

I’ve been a 311 fan since Music and this is one of my favorite modern day 311 songs. Each artist exhibiting their strengths in one song collectively. Thanks for playing it in Huntsville 3/29/2022. And thanks, Tim for retuning double devil horns to your boy upstairs VIP Tim side! 🤘
Peanuts talking with that bass. I'm tellin ya now.
Why am I just finding this now? Im a big 311 fan
great song!! lo maximo 311!!

God this song is FN amazing! Takes twists and turns in typical 311 fashion! MUSICAL GENIUSES fo sho!
best band by far always positive an says almost what we r all thinkin
They stole the beat from someone else. There is nothing creative about plagiarism.

amazing song
I got my VIP ticket for 7/25/18!!! Love, Two-Time Close Encounterer of the 3rd kind. The ships came right up to me, but I can't remember boarding; Sober. Green laser light read my mind. The second time a Robocop colored ship was right up on me and I don't know how I got outside. I thought, "Welcome Friends!" and the ship moved...I wanted to follow to the front yard, and I couldn't move. Then I woke up in bed and the grass was fried. This was 1996 Arcadia, CA in the foothills. The visitations were a month apart. I feel fortunate for those experiences. 311 will usher us in.
WOW, such a diverse, complex, and loaded song to be track #2 on 311- Mosaic! This is definition of what the boys of 311 were telling us leading up to the release of Mosaic, of hard future Reggae-Rock!
"And imma die laughing, HAHA!"

Hell Yeah... 311 🤘🔥
Best song on the album !!
wow is great song .... is amazing 311 fan since 1999 , original sound for 311 the better on the world
Absolutely outstanding!!!!!
Why didn't this song open up the album? Too much to think didn't make sense
thiefswiller this song has a great vibe ..
Because nowadays everything is more of a playlist on a digital streaming platform than an album, and since the beginning of the "playlist" that is this album is the most important song, they had to put one of their pop-level-accessible songs at the beginning so new fans on Spotify, Apple Music, etc have a greater chance at being hooked and wanting to hear more because it sounds poppy (and, obviously, more people like poppy music than funky prog rock like this song is) so in a sense, because of how the music industry is changing, they couldn't "afford" to have anything than an extremely accessible song (TMTT, TTCOF, Places the Mind Goes) as their opener. In the days of the "CD", this definitely would have been the opener instead.
They need to throw a bone out for new fans.
thiefswiller To get the single that's gonna be played out often out the way, so you can start the album I track 2. A lot of 311 albums start with Singles.
Kyle McSweeney I disagree... it's too great of a song to start the album. it would make Mosaic as a whole not be as good, being that a lot of songs don't compare to this one. it's in the perfect spot after the slow melodic single to get the album started
Just came from the BocaRaton FL concert and 311 Ripped it....................... amazing show.............thanks 311
Such a great reggae sound to the beginning. Song reminds me of summer. Time to get ripped.

That ending 🔥🔥🔥
Happy 311 Day everybody! Stay positive & love your life.
I love 311 songs
Sounds like Muse to me, Great intro, but i dont like how they end the song, Nick and Tim try to put Iron Maiden's melodic guitar duet a lot on this album. 311 definitely explore their music with no boundaries. Respect. 311 for life!!
I do hear a bit of Muse! Especially that synth arpeggio. Love it

I love how music always inspires me to work on my own songs. You have got some really great stuff here!
You could do what they did with this song, and just copy it from them.
@@sk8n854 imagine simping for a band this hard, especially one who blatantly rips off other artists
@@puckofftheice432 Not relevant. Congrats on defending plagiarism.
@@puckofftheice432 Lol sure dude. You'd probably say Crossfire wasn't plagiarism either, cuz reasons. 311 apologized for that one, so there's really no debate. People overlaid both these tracks and it's ridiculous in both cases, they're easy to find.
Tbh it's hilarious that one of their big popular hits was Come Original, and this is what they are now.

I want to hear them do a unplugged version of this song
This track is just... nasty 😦

Chad is insane! That kit is being used and abused!
True that. Those rim shots are so fuckin dope. Wish the drums sounded like this in all the songs (Better yet, like they do on Transistor and Soundsystem).
They stole the beat from somewhere else. One of their new songs also has a stolen beat.
Knife Party's Bonfire...
You here from the /r/Monstercat thread about their new song?
I just watched Breaking Bad when bonfire came on. This is def a RIP off. Come original my ass!

Opening sounds like Knife Party’s Bonfire...
I was just coming here to see if anyone else noticed this.
Mosaic by 311 was released in 2017 so their Bonfire is probably inspired by Knife Party.
Bonfire by Knife Party was released in 2012.
In reggae music its been done since the beginning. Artists use each others bass lines all the time. Nearly all of Sublimes music or melodies are someone else's
came here to say the same thing
Sure if you’ve never listened to 311 before you’d think that but nah…
P-Nut's rudest rudeboi bassline, imho.
Neeed a bass tab from 3:30 to start of solo. Can’t seem to figure it out

Very similar to Knife party bonfire
I wouldn’t say stolen but they definitely used the song as heavy inspiration for this track if nothing else
No they didn’t because it doesn’t sound anything like that track which I love. This is 311 they’ve been doing this since 95. Reggae is a broad spectrum
Grammy..
Best Rock Album
Let me complete that sentence for you......
Grammy's are a complete joke now.
They can't even discern Megadeth from Metallica. LOL
Jeremy McDonald
Please don’t insult this song with a Grammy
Hexum 2020
I just picked this up... but no one else has to because 311 just gave everyone every song for free by posting them to RUclips... Does 311 not like money? Why you no want peoples money 311?
Well it's not quite the same experience cause of RUclips not having as good of sound quality as it is on the CD, and also a RUclips playlist with all the songs will have gaps between songs whereas the actual album flows alot better probably. I also think you should be able to sample an album to see if you like it before actually buying so that it isn't a waste of money. 311 aren't exactly starving artists, I think they'll live lol.
They make a lot of money through pre-orders... and this album is great, so I'm sure they'll do alright.
Ded Jezter bands make money from touring and merchandise. They only make about 3-5 points on record sales. They are doing just fine. Hell P-Nut drives a Tesla.
Ded Jezter I bought the cd and my friends said who buys cds no a days I I said The only cds I ever buy are 311's always
They have their own beer and I don't know know but used to have their logo on two NASCARs
Uppppp
I’ve listened to Bonfire plenty of times. I even use it to test new studio monitors. This track doesn’t sound anything like it. Maybe because I’m a true music fan and I listen to so many different genres. First time I heard this track Bonfire was the furthest thing from my mind. This is classic 311 and that reggae rock feel they do so well! If you think they stole this or that you’re fucking waaaay off. I’m sorry you don’t listen to much reggae or other genres in general but it’s a fail on your part. You’re reaching for nothing. Move on!
It's kind of absurd how similar it is. They'd lose if they got sued.
Same guitar riff, same bassline, same vocal B-b-b-aw..., same initial vocal pattern
@@adsfsdfasdfasdf3710You just don’t know that much about music. That’s the absurd part. That you’d even weigh in

I will always love 311, and kinda' dig the current stuff. But come on already Guy's, just pull the damm Trigger, and just make
something that could be called "Transistor II" already. Make a whole album of Song's that are that Trippy, hard rockin' sound again. But to keep it current and with today make the sound a "digital" Trippy sound and call it something like "Circut Board", "Mother Board", or something that is cool from current PC's or Digital Studio Equipment. I'm thinking 311 meet's Linkin Park when they were doing a "digital" sorta' trippy sound. I know Band's always have to evolve, and 311 has alot. But i can't be alone in pieceing together the one or two Song's from all the Album's since Transistor to that come close to that Sound at least. I'd put the Guitar Solo's from "Use Of Time" and "Beyond The Grey Sky" up against any Solo in all of Music. GIve us more of that already.
Listen to Transistor then. They're evolving with time...get on board.
