RIP Emmit Till❤
Conflating is not mentally healthy
@@kp2855...Not really, the murderers of Emmett till got away with murder too....How do you like that???
@@kp2855 Well, neither is what happened with Robert Blake either and his wife, was that mentally healthy ? Hell no!
I'm a white guy and I also don't like what happened to Emmit.
I hope you and the black community found some retribution and closure in the deaths of Ron and Nichol at the hand's of a black brother.
Can we now call it even and move on?
@@gregjackson-ks1gh It goes beyond that, look to the history of the 20th century, did you have a problem with Robert Blake when he was accused of the same thing as O.J.? How did he get a pass, it never got out of hand with the media like it did with O.J.
And for those of you who don't know Johnny was Carl's mentor.
As a woman in her 60's Attyn Carl Douglas spoke the truth about all those murders in LA. Darden was not an experienced trial lawyer at that time.
Carl Douglas is truly charismatic. The picture of a happy warrior. His commentary in the exceptional documentary, OJ: Made In America, is spellbinding.
Helped oj get away with murder
Stephen A. Smith isn't smart enough to go against Johnnie Cochran.
He wants people to think he's smarter than he is. Steven A is no lawyer and JC was to seasoned.
@@Muskogee True, He really sounded like a true idiot saying he would beat the legend Johnny Cochran in the courtroom.
THANK YOU COUNSELOR FOR YOUR LEGAL PERSPECTIVE.
THANK YOU, CARL DOUGLAS, A Brilliant ATTORNEY IN HIS OWN RIGHT!! THANK YOU, JOHNNY COCHRAN , GENIUS! A movie should be made of your life & career! Great Interview!
I thought Carl Douglas would start yelling "Everybody was kung fu fighting..."
It was awesome that Mr. Smith allowed Mr. Douglas, to explaining and give insight and facts that on the case, but I am still very disappointed in Mr. Smith’s comments
Lmfao
Give Johnny cockrin his due and you would have lost period!!!!
AND MORE THING WE DON'T DO WHAtT YOU DO. IF WE FEEL A BLACK PERSON OR ANYONE ELSE IS GUILTY OF SOMETHINGS. WE DON'T Cape like that. It's certain things black folks don't do. We don't cape if we think you are at the wrong. So miss black people with your shit.
When the title said Carl Douglas, I admit I was hoping it was going to be the man who sung “Kung Fu Fighting”
HellHohHell 🇯🇲😂😂😂
"Hong Kong Phooey" - that is a 1970's cartoon character = a dog who can fight crime with Kung Fu (if not, "kung foolery."); the lead character was voiced by Scatman Crothers (Richard Hallorann, the head chef of the Overlook Hotel: "The Shining (1980)").
😂😂😂
Bottom line Johnny was a better lawyer, period!!!
ruclips.net/video/URLYUAaH9iM/видео.html
Bottom line, that jury was never going to convict OJ Simpson.
Stop hating on my brother. Love me some Carl and all you do
Once you give up integrity, the rest is a piece of cake.
"racial reckoning"
Carl Douglas is sensational in this interview, I love his perspective and knowledge.
Carl Douglas is ageless❤
You gotta get Carl Douglas back on.
Thank you Todd. I’m Carl Douglas, this is my burner account
I'm actually carl Douglas. Quit pretending you are me
Thanks for mentioning Natasha Harlens
Latasha Harlins. I'm as incensed by that trial verdict today as I was then. I feel the same about the OJ verdict. Injustice is injustice. It's ALWAYS wrong!!!
So you saying her verdict was wrong?? Store owner was convicted, the judge decided probation
@@rodneytaylor6313 Yes, the woman who shot that young girl in the back deserved serious prison time. And OJ Simpson deserved life in prison for murdering two people.
@@rodneytaylor6313 That verdict was terrible. Probation for killing a kid walking away? That should constitute a life sentence.
Remember so called Asian Hate?? When did American Blacks ever show them hate? Always been the other way though
This guy Stephen A got destroyed by Carl Douglas in this interview , He shouldn't utter Johnny Cochrans name again...
Why do we in this country love to frame everything like it’s a boxing match?
Cochran helped oj get away with murder. He deserves no respect
It's an interview. Nobody got destroyed
Carl Douglas would be awesome as a legal analyst on cable news
Much better than Mark fuhrman being an analyst for foxnews
Carl Douglas is the man!
… you get for when you kill your wife
If there are roaches in the spaghetti you must throw it out! Doesn’t rhyme but we got the point. It was the wrong time and place to try for a conviction.
Wrong
Why can’t attorneys give simple answers to questions. So annoying….
oh come on now, i think u know y
Because there is both context and nuance to the way the case played out. ESPECIALLY among those who weren't even there to witness the event, which includes this lawyer. The problem with our post-literate society nowadays is we know nothing about these items and prefer the partial truths of "yes" or "no" instead of the whole story. THAT SAID, Mr. Simpson physically and temperamentally could not have committed double murder ... but I think he was protecting whoever did.
Wow what a great interview
I remember the verdict I was working in surgery then and now . Now I truly understand why the verdict. True great attorneys.Definitely
One very gullible jury.
@riverebec1 so they should have ignored Mark Furman?
@@MitchHennessy Yes. His disgusting stupid racist commentary taped over a period of years had NOTHING to do with the murders. It was the trial of OJ Simpson NOT Mark Fuhrman!
@@riverebec1 are you gonna answer the question or continue the disappearing act LOL
@@mcfact1827 What was your question.
When he starts hitting Stephen with the Bruh it was time to stop soft shoeing and let the issue go. Some know how to stay on code some like to BBQ their own for public entertainment🤦♂️
This dude is not us! Don't let the complexion fool you..
@@valtown67There are a lot of these guys that love Mr. Charlie but will run to us when they get into trouble! OJ was a true/blue bootlicker. He didn't want anything to do with Black people untill that case.
Not saying Stephen A. is right but we as black people. Need stop conflating everybody base on color because as soon as we disagree. We disown them that easy, how hypocritical. We don't own each other, we either part of GOD'S family or we're not! #repent
@@kp2855 Right is based on opinion! Please don’t follow a statement that doesn’t require a response with a personal assumption of right. When you just as well could have done it without tagging anyone! With that said if the brother felt he was right he wouldn’t have gotten immediately on code. Additionally who are you to deny the perspective of a lawyer personally involved? The internet has y’all feeling yourself too much Champ. Take care and no response is necessary. This is not a debate 🤷🏾♂️
The issue will never be let go. It was the most televised trial of all time. Obviously people will keep talking about it and expressing their opinions #RipNicole&Ron
A good defense attorney always beats a prosecutor.
Unless the prosecutor is better
@@samsca8529 a prosecutor is never better than a good defense attorney
@@terryalan4590 Wrong, Bugliosi is an amazing prosecutor. The prosecutors in the OJ trial were not
@@samsca8529 bugliosi was a wack job . He wanted to prosecute ozzy Osborne for “subliminal “ lyrics that he said made people kill themselves . He also said George w bush should be prosecuted for murder .
We will never know. Fact tho, Ron put up a fight and OJ had no bruises.
O was big as Andre! A machine! You’re comparing apples to oranges! And o had a deep cut in his hand!
@@user-od5sh1ck5g That was proven to happen in Chicago. So if the only injury happened in a different state where did all this oj blood come from? The smoking gun everyone looks past ...
@@user-od5sh1ck5g OJ had RA and Ron Goldman was a black belt martial artist. The way Ron was fighting back, OJ would have never made it to the airport for that flight. I hope not!
It's actually a good communication device to smile, I think. Depending on the nature of the conversation, I'd rather someone talk to me with a genuine smile than be stone-faced the whole time.

People actually think he was innocent??? 😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂
I think there's a difference between innocent by law and innocent! Because it's not about what you know, it's about what you can prove beyond a reasonable doubt.
💯 exactly
Stephen A lied in his book so many times lol😂 but upset because the man got found not guilty, he just told him they planted blood smh they took samples of blood implanted it’s in his vehicle. This is crazy. Why would he ask him about blood being in the truck or at his house?
No, Jason whitlock lied

Whoever accepts a public defender as a lawyer in a murder case deserves his/her fate.
It was inappropriate for you to say that Stephen!! Totally 💯 inappropriate!

At met Bro. Douglas at the Town House in Ladrea back in the day. Very cool and down to earth brother.
Had the good fortunate to communicate with Mr. Douglas years ago. One of the nicest and most gracious people on the Earth.
Carl Douglas sat at the kid's table during the trial, right?
OJ was also a Movie Star and actor
And a wife beater and a killer of 2 people

I miss hearing CD on Max & Marcellus. Great listen.
Great interview
Johnnie Cochrans was brilliant. Great lawyers. Johnnie cochrans would have gotten Lee Harvey Oswald and Ted Bundy off. Amazing lawyer.
In Kato’s defense SAS the only reason he was living with OJ is because OJ said it wouldn’t look right living with Nicole and his kids so he offered him free place to stay rather than a little rent with Nicole. He probably made Kato an offer he couldn’t resist.
Yeah you think he was guilty Steven A Smith because you were there
Lied about saying the N word.
Jokic will win the MVP. You know the fact he aint even talking about it means its true.
Stephen A is fantastic in both sports and social commentary. And he's a good and very fair man
This one the best take about the OK case. SAS sum up everything...
Carl Douglas is a very intelligent man.
Steven is right on in his take on Freddie the Freeloader aka Kato Kaelin. Carl Douglass - class act.
You do realize that freeloader was staying with Nicole paying a little rent until OJ found out and insisted he move in with him rent free. Kato was Nicole friend not OJs
Everybody was Kung Fu fighting
Get judge joe brown on your show. Get his take on the oj trail
I've said repeatedly that no person who is innocent of such a heinous and horrendously brutal crime of the MOTHER of their children, would write a book entitled "If I did it." You wouldn't try to make up any scenario, you wouldn't joke about it, it wouldn't ever enter into your mind to try and envision it, and write it out NONE OF IT-- BECAUSE YOU CARE ABOUT AND LOVE YOUR KIDS!!! This was their MOTHER!! They will never be able to fathom the level of brutality used against their mom in her last moments, without being absolutely destroyed! Those poor children! That was the move of a completely depraved soulless person. You don't love your children more than you hate their mother. That sealed the deal for me. I always thought he was guilty anyways, but that book that he wrote was the last gavel in that case for me. RIP Nicole and Ron, and condolences to their families, even now.
Your comment makes a whole lot of sense. I never thought about that.
An innocent person wouldn't run away in a Bronco either
@@jenkinsljenkinssquire9137I as a black man would, I know how this society sees me.
@jenkinsljenkinssquire9137 Not necessarily. Running away doesn't always imply guilt. People can be really scared and the "fright or flight" instinct (I think that's what it's called) kicks in. Now in OJ's case he was guilty, but, sometimes people take off without a thought-- they're just scared out of their wits. And a lot of the time, they don't even have an experience to base it on. They just get super scared and flee...
@@markwilson4690 🙄
stephen a is clear cut example of what not to be as a black man. Shot to brother carl douglas.
douglas is a pimp. nothing more.
What evidence you have that point out that he committed the crimes. There are all types of resources available for the prosecution to slam dunk the case, and they failed to do so.
You have to be brain dead not to see that every single piece of evidence pointed to OJ Simpson's guilt. That's why that jury let him off.
Like what?
Was waiting for Stephen a to say he was picked to be part of the dream team lawyers but dislocated his knee on his way to court.
That Carl Douglas is the shixt 💜. I felt it in my bones when he described the scene of CD **falling into the hands of Mrs Goldman**
This murder was committed by two people.not one.and who knows who these two people was.we probably will never know.
If it was 2 murderers where are the second set of footprints, it's only one set, OJ's ugly axx shoes, which he lied about owning in the Civil Trial!🤷🏾♂️
It was committed by oj Simpson. We know very well
If I would have been on that jury, I would have had to voted not guilty just like the jury did. However, I do believe there have been people in the past, found guilty and was sentenced to death and executed on a lot less evidence than the O.J. case
Carl Douglas is a professional deflector….lol
How so??? He directly explained everything
The scripture states that all have sin and fall short of the glory of God! Remember king David!
Answer this question...
If you had been given the chance to spend the night at Simpson's house without locking your bedroom door, would you?
If not, why?
If O J really committed those horrible murders then he was a lunatic, but it was a crime of passion, still no excuses. I can't say for sure if he did or did not do it because I wasn't there.
If I was not having an affair with his wife, hurting his children or anything like that, then sure I will spend a night or nights at his house without locking my door. Everything must be in context.
Johnny Cochran did a Magical job at trial all the difference.

His brain rotted
She was the lead prosecutor and she couldn’t stop him from letting Simpson try on the glove 🤔.
Try to reenact it. A old man with a knife killing 2 people with no defensive knife wounds on their arms. Their arms were held, it was a hit.
I’d take OJ over any running back in NFL history
He never said if he thought OJ wzs was guilty 😔
As a complimentary to Edelman's masterpiece "OJ: Made in America" (2016), seek out and watch "Burn Motherf'ker, Burn!" (2017), directed by Sacha Jenkins. This very fine documentary goes even deeper in examining the history of the troubled, even turbulent relationship between the LAPD and Los Angeles' Black community, which was decades in the making.
I would be remiss if I fail to thank Stephen A. Smith and Carl Douglas for this fine, thought-provoking interview (and the work they've been doing over the decades).
The entire day leading up to that evening was a toxic bomb waiting to happen. 1st Barbierri breaks up with him on voice-mail then he gets disrespected by Nicole and her family at his daughter's dance. He just needed somebody to talk to and it never happened
If he did it then how did he do it? You can’t answer that and neither could they. I’m sure you read the autopsy since you have a strong opinion. How did one person commit such heinous murders? You can’t explain it.
He put out a whole book and televised interview explaining "If I did it, here's how it happened."
I'm 56yrs old black American man I remember watching this court room case on TV.some black American community lost love and respect for oj because they believe oj turned his back on his own race to act white and having white friends.black women at that time lost love for oj because he always involves with white women.I believe at that time he killed them white people but he had the money to get best lawyers in this country to defend him.police had hard time proving their case so they planned gloves and things on murder scenes and blood in oj truck if oj did it other people helped him or he hired someone to kill his wife .in past while oj was married to his wife police received calls many times concerning oj beating on her and after they broke up he followed her to see if she involves in another man
@@JimmyNotes it wasn't OJ's responsibility to tell the Prosecution or the Jury how he did it. It was the Prosecution's job and they failed. Acquttal was the only verdict possible.
@@philalexander7902 I don't disagree with you on that point.
If OJ didn't do it, he knows exactly who killed Nicole and Ron. It makes him just as guilty.

I thought we won because we was better lawyer bruh lol
It’s a difference if you believing it and making others believe itit!
Answer me this when this first happened a newsman ask questions about a neighbor who walks his dog now this was on the news. He said he seen a lot of people running from the house.
Carl well told.BRAVO.the best story ever told
Do people realize if OJ didn't commit the crime, then the LAPD would have pre-arranged framing OJ and brought samples of his blood ready to sprinkle and hair sample in the knit cap, knew that OJ couldnt have had an alibi, knew that OJ would have blood from the victims in his vehicle, knew that someone scaled the fence at Kato Katleins apartment at the time of the murder, knew that OJ wouldnt have been ready for the Limo driver waiting for him, knew that OJ would have a fresh cut on his finger. They also would have known that OJ would have owned a pair of Bruno Magli shoes to plant that evidence. They would have had to make an agreement with Ron Goldman ahead of time that he was to be a martyr and spill his blood at Nicole's house, and be placed in OJ's Bronco? This was not justice for black Americans, this is the same ignorant prejudice that once deemed them to be valued as a fourth of a person.
Exactly! This is why I know he's guilty.
Blood with EDTA in it ?? Blood was planted!! EDTA prevents blood clotting in vials after blood draws. EDTA is not present in the human body. OJ agreed to have his blood drawn. Doesn’t sound like someone with something to hide. ❤
He was guilty AF and anyone with a working brain knew it. And no, you do not clear him because the police did some sorry stuff before. That's absolute hogwash, Stephen. That is just such a lame copout.
