As someone with MS, Terry has truely changed my life. Ive lost 30kg, all of my health problems are in remission, and I am able to work again. Things are only getting better, and it’s because of her. 💪🏻
This made me incredibly happy and sad at the same time, for someone who lost their father to ms when he was just 47 years of age and am now battling this disease myself, it gives me hope for the future and yet saddens me to think, if I had stumbled across lifestyle changes many years maybe my dad would still be here.. He would have only been 60 this year. ❤
Brilliant! I have rheumatoid arthritis and after developing liver toxicity from methotrexate, I started tracking my food intake and how I felt. On days when I had more swelling and pain, I reviewed what I was eating in the days before and then cut those things out of my diet. That was a year and a half ago. I believe that I’m very sensitive to carbs and primarily grain based carbs (rice, breads, etc). I started wearing a glucose monitor recently and was able to see my body's “overreaction” to grains, starches and sugars. I eat very low sugar, carbs, starch and look for opportunites to add fiber into my diet. I lift weights (but always have) for exercise. I have been medication free for the last year and a half and have very little pain and I haven’t seen any progression of the disease only improvement. I’m convinced that diet and lifestyle matter and genetics for each person makes a difference. This is an amazing video and I’m so glad that it’s available. My rheumatologist has no interest in learning anything about what i’ve found out about my body and what I’ve been doing to improve my autoimmune disease. I find that sad and frustrating. I hope we are on the cusp of a change in the medical community and they start recommending this kind of protocol to people that have autoimmune disease. It’s sad to see so many ads on TV that are pushing expensive DMARDs. Healing the body through diet and lifestyle changes that heal the body rather than suppressing the immune system seems to make so much more sense. Thank you for producing the video.
This resonates to a Doctor Fetke in Tasmania who kept being blocked from treating his patients with nutrition and lifestyle. Big Pharmy are scared of losing money.
I so approve of this general approach. I also have secondary MS and the timescale and progression appears to have been very similar to Terry Wahls'. I do not have a scientific background but followed a very similar road of discovery through trial and error (I am extremely methodical in my approach to things that can improve my well being). I came to similar (very similar) conclusions as to what helps and what does not help. SO... I applaud Terry Wahls and her protocols. What I am cocking my head at is the money thing. A lot of info is given for free (bravo!) but it seems that a lot is also only available at a cost. One has to live and make a living, but...? Anything I have learned that helps (similar things but adding PEMF and Infra red usage, etc) I tell others for free. Why would one charge? On the other hand, there is a part of me that understands the need to charge in order to continue and to pay for studies and the admin of info distribution. It's just.... so much of the really detailed stuff that Terry Wahls's protocols entails are only really available to the very wealthy. Seems a shame - but also partly understandable. I do wish Terry Wahls continued improvement and good health. I am luckily defying my neurologist's poor prognosis due to a very similar approach also. People.... try it. Even if you cannot afford to buy the books or afford to join the more in depth connections to the protocols, try it.
@@mdillinger1 Reducing certain carbs and added sugars and eating a more unprocessed diet had the most noticeable benefits over a period of about three months (it took a while for me to get into it initially, and then for the benefits to start showing). Intermittent fasting then helped even more (and is easier when sugar/carbs are cut because one is not on a 'sugar run'! Over time I started full water fasting. I started by water fasting for a day and then doing that every now and then. Now I do a 5 day water fast twice a year at the minimum (some years up to four times a year. It gets easier over time). Those things make a big difference and now (for the past 5 years) I have slept on a mat the gives my body PEMF and some far infra red. I sleep better and wake more refreshed. I take D and vitamin K and C. I also take two drops of nascent iodine a day, but in bursts of a few days at a time and then a break for a few days or a week. That also really seems to make a difference for me. I use antibiotics rarely, but when I need them and if appropriate for the infection I request Doxycycline because whenever I use it my MS symptoms are reduced significantly. This is something I discovered over the decades and I have discovered that others have also noticed the same benefits (!) It is definitely something to bear in mind, when so many people have found the same thing.
I appreciate this documentary. I admire Dr. Wahls’ dedication and research into diet and lifestyle. I have been living well with MS for over 18 years. I do 5 things in addition to my medications. I eat a whole food plant based diet, exercise regularly, try to get good sleep, practice mindfulness, and take supplements under the guidance of my neurologist and naturopathic doctor. All of these are key to my health and well-being.
Dr. Walz I have primary progressive multiple sclerosis and that is exactly what I say and I have been saying for a long time multiple sclerosis for me is a curse and a blessing, a curse because of the excruciating pain spasms not being able to stand, etc. and a blessing because now I know how the human body functions and what I have to do to keep it working optimally !!
I had the autoimmune disease Hashimoto's thyroiditis and I went on a diet similar to hers, but I still eat legumes. My disease went into total remission, and my doctor was so amazed that he has used this diet to cure his other autoimmune patients as well. So, I believe this is worth trying if you have the means to do so.
I just wonder how many of her doctors have changed their way of thinking. I'm 66 and had to stop going to doctors in fear of ending up on the evening news. I wish I had her drive.
I understand you're expressing deep pain and emotions, feeling like my words could be your own story. The pain and tears from suffering, the fear of being helpless-it's overwhelming. You wish you could live life again like me, but you feel completely helpless.😢😢
Bob Cafaro, now a friend of Terry’s, reversed his MS symptoms using a plant based diet. He has a book called “When The Music Stopped” that chronicles his journey.
I’m highly sensitive to sulphur-containing veggies like cabbage, brussel sprouts and don’t know how to supplement or eat around this problem so I can obtain some of the benefits of sulphur. Suggestions?
Raw read meat. Salt and pepper. Brussel sprouts. Psilocybin, lions mane, reishi, chaga, cordyceps mushrooms, spirulina, alfalfa and wheatgrass. I dont just walk again, I run. Aquatherapy is the key. And rest. Lots of rest.
My friend is dying he's going to die but I knew that had no hope so I had to walk away knowing I could help him with his MS as I have been stepping out of Babylon my whole life right now food first but every other sin and degradation I have seen God has ben gracious I haven't actually been there I've always been gone for the day they are not who I am
I am deathly ill afraid to go back into a doctor's office this is only in the movies kind of thing seemingly not in my lifetime I've been thinking real hard all my life searching seeking that's how I know you are finding the right answers how much of it would you have to say is divine intervention maybe you like serendipitous I call it the same just one way God speaks volumes everyday once that if Randy said what are the odds of that all the time for a while I thought he was shallow at the time it was just too deep for me even though at 15 i said this coincidence happened according to the law of averages there would be none in comparison to what is pointing towards the hand of God pointing towards us
Its lucky for you the truth was pretty convenient or you would have never found it first inclination was to know it all without actually hearring them out a lot like religion not just today
Yeah way too much information mama was Daddy's pet her brother was Mama's pet/ workhorse she never had a desire for another woman but her brother try to molest my oldest brother when he was 10 learned very young about abuse and neglect being very common that's an excuse but explains
Imagine a half bushel of veggies in too small glasses The gerson institute she wouldn't know about them and hold back from the public I hope Big bucks just like our Justice we had the best medicine money can buy and I mean a lot of bread this is why Mom a said it's more like a poop sandwich effing the more bread the less poop
Sure would like to find a real doctor for pawper price but I know that the reason why you are here is not your doctor it's God that's the blessing the great lesson of course you had to do your part that's the other part you can't forget too much is too much not enough is not enough learn the difference

What level did you stick to for your active weight loss? 2 or 3 meals?
lordy woman! Your daughter's crying, your son's crying, you're crying -- I'M CRYING!! Dr. Wahls, you have given such an amazing gift to the world xxx
The work Dr. Terry Wahl is doing, is so important. Thanks so much for this documentary.

I've been trying to share Terry's story to others, but of course it only takes if the person is ready and receptive or desperate.

Wow, what an amazing recovery and story. Thank you for your contributions.
Thank you for making this wonderful documentary! This story deserves to be told loudly and broadly.

Thank you for this movie that tells the story of one of my heroines. I have so much gratitude and respect for this human being.

I’m suffering with Hashimoto. Congrats to you👏👏👏🌈💗 great inspiration!

This is so inspirational ❤. Thank you
I love you doctor
where can you fund the study that would make the Wahls protocol FDA approved?
After reading your comment. One simple google search....
why does it need to be fda approved? lol the fda is a stupid organization
doubt big pharma would allow that anyways
Can someone tell me their personal experience with ocrevus
I’m highly sensitive to sulphur-containing veggies like cabbage, brussel sprouts and don’t know how to supplement or eat around this problem so I can obtain some of the benefits of sulphur. Suggestions?
My heart races in interest. This seems overwhelming, but what about people of lower economic status? How can this be addressed?
I just like to see her walking now. She’s only sitting when she’s talking.
I have had multiple sclerosis for 15 year and neuralgia for about the same.had 6 operations and looking for help online basically
🔥 قصص شفاء شيقة 🔥
I have heard a lot of what you did/changed discussed by people who deal with Lyme disease.
What is considered moderate protein according to Dr. Wahl
Deficiency that's what I've been talkin about along with many others first and foremost most needed for a toxic world
Raw read meat.
Is there any evidence of the Wahls protocol with M.E.?
Sometimes it's a dead-end you got to be your best friend your doctor is not your friend anymore only in the movies
Sadly, this is true.
It's not easy to get a good quality food these days...food is generally lacking nutrients..
Yep you became a good student somewhat I hope you're as good of a teacher
Dr. Wahls story is a great one. This movie uses music and boredom to its detriment.
Terry would benefit reading Dr. Bruce Lipton work when it comes to the belief system regarding DNA.
Shame she was still ill-informed about red meat thought.
If she’d done the Lion Diet she would have healed in a fraction of the time. Probably.
No jet skis you think

We don't need names like paleo just real information and good nutrition facts before fanfare
