Going to the gym for working out is not a sin. It becomes a sin when you go to find a identity, when you give your life to that. Our bodies is the temple of the Holy Spirit, so it's nice that we take care of it.

I agree with Dr.Michael, my sister, committed suicide after a horrific break down when her daughter was born. She was a loving and kind person, but during her break down, she feared she would hurt her baby daughter so her suicide was not selfish act at all. It was a sacrifice to save her daughter.

Sorry for your loss, but we must be very careful what we allow our ears to hear and what we believe is truth.
This is indeed a very sensitive topic but that's why we must go by what God's Scriptures say.
Majority of folks believe that we no longer have to follow The Ten Commandments but God Never told us that the Ten Commandments were no longer necessary.. and Jesus even tells us the complete opposite.
      Matthew 5:17
      “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;
I have not come to abolish them but to Fulfill them."
      Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, what is the Greatest Commandment in the law of Moses?”
37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love The Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’
38 This is the First and Greatest Commandment.
39 The second is like it: ‘Love others as yourself.’
40 The Entire law and all the demands of the prophets are Based on these two Commandments.”
      See that?
It says The Entire Law is Based on these Two Commandments.
And Jesus said these Commandments Still Stand.. They are Not Abolished and that includes the 6th Commandment : thou shall Not kill.
So, if thou shall Not kill is part of the Ten Commandments, then why would anyone try and Justify killing in any way, shape or form?
Jesus also said to Love yourself..
So how are those who commit suicide, showing God they love Him and loved themselves?
To Love God is to put Him First which is The Greatest Commandment..
To love God First and Put Him First means to Obey Him, Fear Him, Respect Him.. Love God First before ourselves.
God comes first Always! Do not disregard God's word, for it says in
Proverbs 15:32 “Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding.”

That's why it's so important that we read The Bible in All its Entirety with an Understanding from The Lord so we won't be easily misled.
One of the Ten Commandments is thou shall Not kill.
So, if this is part of the Ten Commandments, then why would anyone try and Justify killing in any way, shape or form?
Are we suppose to think that there weren't people who had thoughts of suicide during the Time God had Moses write the Ten Commandments?
      Of course Not.
Look at The Book of Job.. Job lost everything. He lost his servants, his land, his house, all his money, he lost all of his livestock.. he even lost his sons and daughters.. they all died in a fire.
Everything.. All gone.. he had Nothing.
His health was declining and he fell into a deep depression and it says in Job 3:21 "Job longed for death" ..
That scripture tells us right there that Job was having thoughts of suicide but deep down inside, he Knew Not to go against God and break His Commandment. Why? Because He Knew that Killing others or yourself is a One Way Ticket to hell.
      But Gods Love Conquers All.
Who are we to make that decision to take life, even if it's our own?
Did we create ourselves that we can take our own self out of this world?
No, of course Not. Only God can.
And it says in Job 1:21 right after Job received the terrible news about his children, that he fell to the ground in worship and said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.
The Lord gives and The Lord has taken away; may the name of The Lord be praised.”
See that, Job said "The Lord gives and The Lord has taken away" .. Job Never once said "The Lord gives but He has granted us permission to take away"..
      No, Job didn't say that.
But now let's take a look at that last line, Job said "may the name of The Lord be praised"..
He said that out of Fear and Reverence for God. He feared The Lord so that is why he Praised God immediately after having negative thoughts.
We are to fear God.. so how are we showing fear of our Lord if we take our own lives?
When you take your own life, it only shows that you didn't put All your trust in Jesus.
But Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 "Cast your Heavy Burdens on Me and I will Give you Rest. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Jesus said this because He knows the problems of the world can be overwhelming and can cause fear, doubt, stress, anxiety and cause us to lose hope which can lead to suicide but Jesus Never said "you will have troubles in this world that will cause you to doubt Me and you might even take your own life, and I understand.. so I say to you, take your own life if you must"..
No, He Never said that. But what He did say is..
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
We are to Keep our Eyes on Jesus!!
These scriptures make it very clear that we are Not to take our own lives.
      Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to God, and He will make your paths straight."
It says Submit to Him.. so how are we submitting to Him if we take our own lives.
Hosea 4:6 "My people perish for Lack of Knowledge."

In my individual case, I was super close to offing myself once when I was in high school. And when I was super close to doing it, I heard an audible voice daring me to “do it!” three times. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was Satan himself but I digress. After being dared to do it, I got a glimpse of where I was going and what it would be like if I went through with this. Got a glimpse of hell, and that abuse and my suffering would never end for all eternity. So I put the knife away and prayed to God for a way out of the child abuse I went through.

So sorry what you’ve been through in childhood. I really hope they get what they deserve.
God is in charge of all the Universe. The Bible teaches there will be hell fire at the end where all evil angels and sinners will be destroyed for eternity. Not tortured forever and ever but destroyed forever. God will not allow Satan and sinners to live on and on. God will clean up this Universe after evil is burned up. Please don’t fall for pagan satanic teachings as if God will allow satan to live on and torture people for eternity. Hint: The Bible says Sodom and Gomorrah will burn forever. It means burned up with eternal results. Not that it’s burning forever. If there is eternal hell there will never be peace and purity in the Universe. It comes from satanic paganism. Not God or the Bible.

We are NOT saved by keeping the 10 commandments including "thou shalt not kill". If so, Jesus died for nothing.

I also agree that as a NEW CREATURE (2nd Corinthians 5:17), a believer SHOULD behave differently and we SHOULD expect believers to act differently than unbelievers.
At the same time, the subject of this video is whether Christians who commit suicide go to Heaven. The Biblical answer is DOGMATICALLY YES because salvation is by faith alone and not works.
To say that believers who commit suicide go to Hell (or that you can lose salvation) is to preach works salvation because you would have to keep the commandment "thou shalt not kill" to get saved, which is WORKS.
FAITH ALONE = Once Saved Always Saved
Because Biblical Christianity teaches faith alone salvation, salvation BY DEFINITION cannot be lost because Christianity teaches believe on Christ and be saved from Hell (Acts 16:30-31).

True, and only through Christ we are saved.
And as for His final judgement, believers are SPARED from judgement already (Romans 8:1). We are NO LONGER condemned and NO, we DO NOT have to face judgement (eternal hell) for our sins but only loss of rewards (1st Corinthians 3:11-15).
Salvation is NOT a reward for keeping the commandments and if suicide results in salvation loss, that is NOT faith alone salvation but works salvation as keeping the commandment "thou shalt not kill" would be needed to get to Heaven.
Heaven is NOT a prize rewarded at the end for those who lived well.
Heaven is GUARANTEED the moment you believe and receive Christ.
Read Ephesians 2:1-9 and see that Christ already seated us in HEAVENLY PLACES. God uses the PAST TENSE to describe a FUTURE EVENT because we are guaranteed Heaven the moment we are SAVED by FAITH ALONE and NOT WORKS (Ephesians 2:8-9). If we have to keep commandments to get saved, we could boast and brag about about salvation as OUR achievement.
There is NO eternal judgement or Hellfire on saved people. We are GOD'S CHILDREN. God disciplines His SONS (Hebrews 12:5-11) but He does not condemn them.
Unbelievers are NOT His children (Ephesians 2:1-4) but rather children of wrath and disobedience.

@@elainewat2607 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 says, “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.”
This verse has sometimes been used to say that those who commit suicide will be destroyed by God, i.e. receive eternal judgment and not salvation. The problem with using this verse in this way, is that this verse is not talking about suicide.
While 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 argues for individual holiness on the basis of the fact that, as believers in whom God’s Spirit dwells, we are the temple of the living God, in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Paul is talking about the church corporately as the temple of God. This is similar to what Peter says in 1 Peter 2:5, where he says, “you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” The picture Peter paints is that we are each individual stones who come together to form the temple of God; God, thus, makes his habitation in the midst of the congregation, not in special buildings built by human hands (cf. Acts 7:48, 17:24)
The problem we have in modern English is that we use the same word, “you”, for both the second person singular and the second person plural (y’all or you guys - depending on where you’re from), so a simple reading in our modern vernacular doesn’t tell us if a verse is directed towards us as individuals or to a collective group. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 uses you in the second person plural, meaning that Paul is speaking of those who destroy God’s temple as those who destroy the Body of Christ, the Church. This is also clear from the context of 1 Corinthians 3, where Paul is talking about the importance of unity in the Body of Christ.
Thus, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 is a warning about how seriously God takes attacks against the Church, not a warning aimed at those who are considering suicide.

      Gods Love Conquers All.
I will gladly keep going if anyone needs me to.

What’s in our hearts will come out through our actions, morals and character (John 14:15). When you really sell out to Christ you want to please the Lord, not make excuses for sinning. When I have fallen short and sinned even in the slightest, I repent and ask the Lord for forgive me and deliver me so I never do it again. There have been times where I’ve had to work to overcome some sins but I didn’t give up and I was delivered. I don’t make excuses for myself, saying I’m human and I’m going to sin. In John 8:11, Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, sin no more. He didn’t tell her try not to sin but I understand if you can’t stop. I thank God for his grace and mercy that when I have sinned, the Lord showed me mercy and didn’t let me die in my sins. I’ve been saved most of my life, but I don’t play with God’s grace and say I’m going to heaven anyway, I’m human I can’t help myself. I have the Holy Ghost power and it helps me supernaturally live a life for Christ that is impossible for me to do without the Lord. I’ve provided a few scriptures because if what I’m saying doesn’t line up with the word of God, it’s worthless. We must be very careful what we allow our ears to hear and what we believe is truth.
This is indeed a very sensitive topic, but that's why we must go by what God's Word says.
Majority of folks believe that we no longer have to follow The Ten Commandments but God Never told us that the Ten Commandments were no longer necessary.. and Jesus even tells us the complete opposite.
      Matthew 5:17
      “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;

Unfortunately, those who committed suicides went to hell. I’m not trying to judge but I almost did it about 17 years ago. I got depressed, embarrassed and overwhelmed due to my situations at the time. No one knew about the plan that I carefully planned about a week. I got my noose ready and a letter for my mother and family who lived overseas. Just ten minutes before I was about to do it, a prayer warrior called me. I didn’t tell her anything and was silent most of the time. Then she asked me if I were planning to commit suicide. I was shocked since that person lived in a different state and I hadn’t talked to her for months. I asked her back of how she knew about my plan. She said: “the Lord urged me to call you tonight to stop your plan. Did you know where would you go if you committed suicide?” I said no and didn’t care coz I was just tired with all this mess. Then she said “you would end up being in hell! Even though you didn’t kill anyone else, but if you killed yourself, the consequence is second death which means in hell. Is that what you want?” I said no (I didn’t know at the time). She went on, “God has beautiful plans for you, you have to let things go and ask for God’s forgiveness for your wicked plan. He loves you and doesn’t want you to perish. He’s very sad that you wanted to commit suicide”. So I did what she asked me to do. The next day the Lord said to me: “ I am the Lord. I am the creator of the universe and everything in it. Everything is in my hands. I feed the birds in the sky, I take care the flowers in the field. Even more you my daughter, you are the apple of my eye. Why don’t you trust me?”. In the next two weeks after I repented, I received miracles upon miracles that I was a bit overwhelmed by His goodness! So be careful about planning on committing suicides. It is a sin! We are His image and He loves us very much. Don’t get into satan’s snares. So I don’t agree with Dr. Brown. I got my question answered when someone stopped my plan. She was asked to remind me the consequences of committing suicide. God’s logic is not our logic and our logics are not His. He is a merciful God but sin is sin and the consequence of sin is death.

But you had not yet been saved back then, so it might not apply to those who've really trusted and then fallen away. I don't know if it's possible to commit suicide after trusting on Jesus, because I've never done that, but I do believe that sin is sin.and Christ died for our sins, not some sins, but all. And he who is guilty of ONE sin is guilty of ALL. I don't think it makes sense that you'd even get saved by believing that he died for some of your sins instead of all.
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

My friend wasn’t a close friend at the time and in fact I didn’t want to tell anything because God would unveil her things about my life I didn’t know. As I said, she was urged to call me to stop the plan. She told that Jesus was very sad when I had that plan. No single soul knew about my plan not even my husband who was in a hospital that night. I made sure I was as happy as I could be. My thought was if I died, I didn’t have to worry again about my problems and Jesus would understand why I did it. But I was all wrong. My friend answered my questions even before I asked her. Then she asked me to repent for wanting to commit suicide as it grieved His heart. I was extremely blessed that the Lord “dispatched” my friend that night. She was only an acquaintance that I never met in person and was introduced to me over the phone by a friend of mine who was a pastor’s wife.

Trust that the Lord will do whatever he deems to be right for each person, and ask him to give us peace about it, and exercise your right to exit any conversation with people who automatically tell you that your loved one didn't make it to heaven. At this point, we don't know where he is and it isn't our buisness where he is.
Regardless of the way in which somebody dies, you can never 100% with total certainty know whether they died in right standing with the Lord. There are people who don't commit suicide, who harbor secret sins from which they refuse to repent (e.g. "I'll never forgive so and so for what they did to me") or they are married with a secret girlfriend/boyfriend somewhere, or when they're alone, they indulge in watching their secret stash of porn and you know nothing about this because when you see them, they appear to you to be a faithful Christina. . It's not for us to to wrack our minds wondering whether somebody ended up in heaven or hell after they die. Instead, it's for us to pray that the Lord will lead each of us and our loved ones so that we can all live in heaven with the Lord Jesus once we leave this earth.
God isn't going to tell us where each person will go after they die, so we have to trust that his definition of what is right is what will happen with that person. Then we must admit to ourselves that we do not always know what his definition of right is, as it applies to each individual person. You can have two people who do something to make themselves end up dead (e.g. go swimming alone and get caught in a rip current). Both voluntarily entered the water. Both probably knew you aren't supposed to swim alone. Both did something that caused their deaths. Did at least one cry out to God at the last minute to forgive them for bad judgement? We don't know. Did one of them secretly hope they'd get caught in a rip current and die? Some things are not for us to know, because we are not the one who makes the decision about where they will spend eternity.

Sorry for your loss, but we must be very careful what we allow our ears to hear and what we believe is truth.
This is indeed a very sensitive topic, but that's why we must go by what God's Scriptures say.
Majority of folks believe that we no longer have to follow The Ten Commandments, but God Never told us that the Ten Commandments were no longer necessary.. and Jesus even tells us the complete opposite.
      Matthew 5:17
      “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;

I've witnessed the Mighty Hand of God cast out unclean spirits of what the world calls "Mental illness" but that's the worldly term but these are actually Unclean spirits.
Yes, that's Exactly what it is:
Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, thoughts of suicide, PTSD, Tourettes, Psychosis, Bipolar Disorder, Multiple personality disorder, Dissociative Identity Disorder.. and even such things as Alcoholism, Drug Addiction, P3dofilia, R4pists, Child M0lestation, Murd3rers H0mosexuality, even Narcissism.. and the list goes on!
These are All Unclean spirits.. the Very Same unclean spirits that Jesus and All the Disciples, Apostles and Prophets Cast out when Jesus walked this earth.
This isn't something that started in the 1900's.. No, Unclean spirits have been among us since the beginning of Time.
And that's why we are to keep our eyes Fixed on Jesus.
Matthew 11:28-29 Then Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
And in Hebrews 12 tells us Not to give up on life..
Hebrews 12:2-4 "Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, The Champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame.
Now, He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
3 Think of all the hostility He endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.
4 After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.
See that? Look at that last line.. it says "you have Not given your lives in your struggle against sin."
The 6th Commandment is thou shall Not kill.. So, if thou shall Not kill is part of the Ten Commandments, then why would anyone try and Justify killing in any way, shape or form?
I pray The Lord will open up your eyes so that you will See. I pray that He will Give you Understanding.
This is an extremely sensitive subject and the message they are delivering is a very dangerous message.
We need to make sure that we are Listening to God's Truth.. all His Scriptures are Truth.. Jesus Christ is Truth.. Let The Holy Spirit Guide you unto all Truth.

I’m 30 and have struggled with suicidal thoughts since I was 12 (perhaps younger but that was my first attempt)
I’ve been close to death several times. Each time I have been close I pray for forgiveness and express my longing to be with Him, He always saves me from following through.
I feel the Lord revealed to me I would have gone to a place of endless wondering..craving God’s presence but not knowing what I was looking for. He has shown me that I wouldn’t be with Him like I wanted if I took my own life. It wasn’t pure suffering and terror, but it was not joy..it was more so a waiting place filled with emptiness till His return for me. I’m grateful God has revealed this to me personally and have decided that life is far better than that place, despite turmoil I’m able to live on Earth with His blessings (my children and family). I no longer feel that I want to die even when I am having a difficult time in life. Jesus is always with me, He is the true comforter ❤

And if suicide causes salvation loss, then I have to keep the commandment of thou shalt not kill to get saved.
This is works salvation and makes salvation a reward.
And we all have lied. More times than we can count.

we where brought up in faith in Jesus
As we entered young adulthood we went through family break up and just a lot of disfunction
Addiction, oppression and other bad traumas
One evening she called me and i was in another country drunk
She was sluring her words and i couldn't really make sense of what she was saying, i was too intoxicated
Next day i found out she had taken an overdose of antidepressants and alcohol
I was full of guilt for years as to whether i had missed a call for help from her or if it was a good bye ,2 years later the lord revealed himself to me and brought me back him i was still dealing with a lot and o asked the Lord in prayer why my sister took her life and where she was and he answered me , the Lord said
    It was because of sin,
He then said she believed in the blood of Jesus so she is saved
And with that i knew he had her i am so thankful for the Lord and because of his sacrifice ❤

danielhumphrey990 : That's why it's so important that we read The Bible in All its Entirety with an Understanding from The Lord so we won't be easily misled.
And if you remember clearly, in The Book of Numbers and Deuteronomy, God gave Moses instructions for those who accidentally killed someone and the persons family members would seek out revenge, so God gave Moses orders to tell them which towns they can escape to.
Why else would God have Moses give them that land for a quick escape?
It wasn't just so that the person seeking revenge wouldn't commit sin by taking someone's life, but also it was so that the person who was being sought out for revenge would not take their own life out of fear.
Even David before He became King was being hunted down by King Saul.. He was so afraid that he went hiding in a cave, yet he Never took his own life. And this went on for a very long time.
It seemed endless but David Never gave up.
He kept His Faith and Trust in The Lord.
      Gods Love Conquers All.
I will gladly keep going if anyone needs me to.

@@LM-ol4wc Yes, suicide is a sin, but are our sins not forgiven and washed away by the blood of Jesus? He died for our past present and future sins, therefore if someone were to take their life, it would still be forgiven. Just because we are forgiven, doesn’t give us the right to keep sinning no, but if we do we will still be forgiven. Just like thou shalt not murder is a law so is thou shalt not lie. I’m sure people lie more than murder and brake more commandments than someone who took their own life. No where does the Bible say suicide is the one way ticket to hell, if it were, It’d be in there since it’d be so dangerous. God bless!
James 2:10-11 10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it. 11 For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
Romans 5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!

@@LM-ol4wc LM I would love it if you can keep going, because it is all good and true that we are supposed to be guided by God. I just hope those who have tough questions get real answers. They are asking if taking your own life causes their soul to be damned in some sort of default judgement.
As a longtime Bible scholar I have had this question posed to me many times, and as a born again believer I always answer that the grace that Christ's blood provided in His finished work of salvation is, and always be sufficient for us. It is sufficient to sustain us through hardship, and also sufficient to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness when we have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior.
Many people struggle with this due to false doctrines that are widespread. That suicides go to hell is a well known teaching of the Catholic church. This has damaged so many believers who are torn apart over and over when they grieve for their loved ones that committed suicide. I hate for people wondering about their lost loved ones in Christ suffering and grieving when they should be comforted by hope in Jesus' ability to save.
Remember: God's arm is not too short to save us from death and Gehenna (hell) once we become His children. Like Paul said in Romans 8:38-39 I am confident that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything in all creation will be able to separate us from to the love of God that is in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Take THAT to heart, my friends! The problem with the old covenant of keeping all God's laws and commandments is that we humans, though we try and struggle to do everything that is right and avoid failure is that we simply cannot keep His law. Jesus is the only one that was ever able to do this! The great sacrifice our Lord made in offering Himself as the holy, perfect sacrificial Lamb of God to take the sin of the world was BECAUSE HE KNEW WE COULD ONLY BE SAVED BY HIM DOING THIS FOR US. my friends, the letter of the law kills because no human has kept God's law except for Jesus the Christ. Because He offered Himself we can now be righteous by the miracle of His Grace. His righteousness we can now claim as ours. In our weakness we can claim His strength. Though humans failed Christ gives victory over death, victory over sin, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it either. The Light went out into the darkness, and the darkness has NOT overcome it!
My friends, where our will is given over to God's will there can be no failure. Do not despair over your lost loves because no one can pluck them from Our Father's hand when Christ has claimed them! And don't let our feelings and our own will or the darkness that tempts us and tried to dismay us have a voice anymore. They cannot overcome the Light. Remain in the Light! Remain in the shelter of the Most High and pour your heart out to God. He cares for you. And then put on a garment of praise and drive out that spirit of heaviness. It is demonic, and sent to afflict you so you don't accomplish all the wonderful things God will do when you give your life to His service. Don't think it is our effort...He goes before us.
Now get out there and find that evil spirit that whispers destruction and DESTROY IT IN THE GLORY OF GOD!

      “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;

So glad you have hope in salvation! Put that helmet on! The helmet of hope of our salvation , mentioned in1 thessalonians 5:8 is clearly a habitual action to protect our minds in this ugly world. Paul says in Ephesians 6 to take it. Yes, once saved the owner of your spirit is now Jesus. Forever. But we have to consciously put that helmet of hope in salvation on. A soldier rarely wears a helmet 24 and 7. We need to consciously put on our spiritual armor, the breastplate of His righteousness to guard our heart, gird your loins in truth (in Bible times imagine a lady pulling her skirts in and up ready to do some work...men did the same thing getting ready to move fast) and put your shoes on to be ready to spread that gospel! Get behind that shield of faith when under fire! And learn to wield that sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Some Christians are not familiar with battles and warzone ( but they will be!) But think of a battle fatigued soldier jumping into action. They may have to put their helmet on!
But if we have weakness, we lose heart, and then sin by giving up hope...the love and goodness of God will still not separate us from His love if we are believers who called on Jesus, put our faith in Him.
1 Corinthians 13 talks all about the power of love. Where all else will eventually cease...there is faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love.
Now take heart, and have hope, sister. May God bless you and comfort you!

Wasn’t Sampson effectively a soldier, willing to GIVE his life to save others from the Philistines? That is very different than killing oneself by throwing in the towel because whatever is “too hard”. It is very thin ice to cozy up to self-murder on the basis of a mention Sampson in Hebrews 11. In short, to GIVE your life for others is one thing (like Jesus giving His life for us all, laying your life down) and yet TAKING your life by throwing in the towel is another thing entirely, and entirely terrible. Do not kill yourself.

@@paulpierce7387 Paul the question was not " is that not a sin? ". The question was if suicide sends you to hell. I was simply using scripture to explain answers and doctrine( per 2 Timothy 3:16). Many people are being mislead on what it means to be pardoned of sin vs committing an unforgivable, or damnable sin.
No one here is condoning or promoting suicide. Just clarifying what scripture says about scripture. The word of God is always in agreement with itself. Whether you are a soldier, Nazarite, prisoner of war, or self harming sinner the thing that attains your salvation is belief that Christ is the Son of God who saved us from being condemned as sinner's. Many folks I know are brokenhearted over losing loved ones to suicide, self harm, overdose, or mysterious circumstances. Many have been told their loved ones are suffering hell fire for things they did under the influence of substances, depression, mental illness, or even fear. I actually believe people who take their own life are under an evil influence (except in cases like Samson, where he was in the Spirit of God.
The exception for soldiers committing any kind of violence didn't work for God's standard of holiness when David wanted so much to build Him a temple for the Ark of the Covenant. God basically said " thanks for the offer, but no: your hands are bloody. Have your son do it. He is a man of peace." Loose paraphrase, but God is the judge. Whether you are a soldier or a prisoner of war like Samson was not the point. None of it sounds good to do, but the unforgivable sin is the blasphemy of Holy Spirit.

Let see if I can make sense of this. So Michael Brown said you can potentially go to heaven after you have committed suicide, because it’s just like every other sin. He said if we sin all we have to do is come back to him and he will receive us. At the end he said “unconfessed sin no one gets away with it.” Well lets take a deeper dive into this. When someone commits suicide he cannot come back to God and ask for forgiveness because he took his own life before he could return to him, so God could receive him. Which means,he died in sin. And if what Michael said is true, “that no one gets away with unconfessed sin.” Then I guess one who commits sin cannot potentially go to heaven. I wish people would hear their own self.

I believe he couldn’t take seeing the constant hunger and suffering after so many years I think he is with God as a hard core Irish Catholic born in Ireland.

Someone who has killed others can repent and be forgiven.. go and sin No more.
A thief can repent and be forgiven.. go and sin no more.
An adulterer can repent and be forgiven.. go and sin No more.
An idolator can repent and be forgiven.. go and sin no more..
Now tell me how can a person who has commited suicide, repent and be forgiven and "go and sin no more"..??..
Where in The Bible does the 6th Commandment say "Thou shall Not kill but suicide is acceptable".. ??..
      Nowhere does it say that.
Do you not understand that killing is killing.. even if it's by taking your own life?
We should Not try and Justify killing in any way, shape or form.
Do you think Jesus died for our sins and Resurrected on the Third Day so that we can just take our own lives anyway because Jesus dying for us just wasn't enough?
Is there another definition of the 6th Commandment: thou shall Not kill..
I'm asking since folks feel it wasn't clear enough when The Lord said thou shall Not kill.
Not sure how much clearer folks need it to be, but it doesn't get anymore clear than that.
Be careful Not to listen to the false teachings of men who tell you what your itching ears want to hear.
      2 Timothy 4:3-4
"For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching.
They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.
They will reject the truth and chase after myths."

In the sixth century AD, suicide became a secular crime and began to be viewed as sinful. In 1533, those who died by suicide while accused of a crime were denied a Christian burial. In 1562, all suicides were punished in this way. In 1693, even attempted suicide became an ecclesiastical crime, which could be punished by excommunication, with civil consequences following. In the 13th century, Thomas Aquinas denounced suicide as an act against God and as a sin for which one could not repent.
Needless to say there was less suicide. The modern Christians are guilty of our modern increase in suicides nationwide because we give everyone a pass or a chance and now there's zero fear of hell!

But I do remember that when Jesus was on the cross, he did say, father forgive them, for they know not what they do. And I wonder just how far reaching Jesus prayer to the father reaches. There probably is those who didn’t realize what they’re really doing and took their own life.

When you commit this act, you are turning your back on God and telling Him that your will mattered more than His. It’s a lot deeper than just murder. Killing and murder are different when you decipher the “motive” behind it.

I hear what you're saying, but think about it this way.
When Jesus went to the cross, it was God the Son absorbing God the Father's wrath for all of our sins. To me that says a few different things.
When God forgives sins He does it outside of space and time. He gives us an _eternal forgiveness._ Not just past sins, but all sins - past, present and future.
If our names are written in heaven, thats the same as saying, our names are written in eternity. Our names have been written from the beginning to the end of all creation. What can happen in time that can cancel out something God has done in eternity?
Also think of this. Jesus suffered many punishments on the cross, so he could be the Savior of all our sins.
For murderers, Jesus was murdered. For abusers, Jesus was abused. For thieves, Jesus lost everything he had. For the proud, Jesus was humiliated and degraded. For mockers, Jesus was mocked. For addicts, Jesus went to the cross 100% sober.
The list goes on and on... its really beautiful and humbling. I think suicide is on this list too.
Like you said: committing suicide is an act of turning your back on God's will. God's will is for you to continue to live and suffer on earth. But in a moment of weakness, you turn and run from that future suffering by ending your life.
I think Jesus earned the right to save these believers, by iwhat He did in the garden of Gethsemane. He started to see the full horror of what the cross would be like, and his courage was absolutely tested to the limit. Whether or not He would abandon God's will and run from that suffering.
I gotta say, I don't think I would have made it. I'm not sure if anyone in history could have still chosen the cross after seeing the cost. Jesus did. He stayed strong through that temptation, and therefore Christ did what suicidal believers failed to do. He endured. He paid the price for all who run away from suffering, by staying and enduring. So Jesus has the authority to forgive that sin and be our Savior.
This is actually something I'm just thinking of while writing this. I'm curious what you think, if it makes sense to you haha.

Do you ever know God's will about a certain thing, and then make excuses to justify doing what you're not supposed to do, and then regretting it afterwards and repenting? I feel like that's a super common experience in the Christian walk.
So if a believer knows its wrong to commit suicide, and they resist with all their might, and somehow they come up with reasons to do it and then in a moment of weakness they do it. How is that different... only because they can't regret it afterward? I promise you they do, the moment its done.
Would Jesus take back his salvation and throw them into eternal doom? This person who Jesus Christ loved and bled and died for one of Jesus's own precious sheep who He knows by name? You think Jesus would throw this poor believer out into the street and slam the door because the believer became too weak and sad to stop themselves from suicide?
Honestly I think it would be *_monstrous_* if Jesus Christ did this. I cannot imagine why or how he could be so cruel.
It is a common "churchy" thing to say that suicide sends you to hell. But you know... that's actually not in Scripture. It really is not.

After knowing firsthand how beautiful Jesus is to us... and what a kind, loving, merciful, compassionate and forgiving Savior He's been for us in all our sins and weaknesses.

God hates you for what you did. Jesus rejected you. He doesn't want you anymore. and I don't either. You sinned, and now you get to pay for it. You don't belong with us. you never will. Then, if the guard sees that enemy soldiers are ready to attack, he must blow a trumpet to warn his people. Someone might hear the sound of the trumpet, but he does nothing to keep himself safe. If enemy soldiers then come and kill that person, he is guilty of his own death. He deserves to die because he heard the sound of the trumpet, but he did nothing. When the trumpet warned him of danger, he should have got ready. If he had done that, he would have saved his life. But the guard might not blow the trumpet when he sees the enemy. But the guard will be guilty of their death, because he did not warn them of danger.” Son of man, I have chosen you to be a guard for Israel's people. You must listen to the messages that I give you. Then you must use what I say to warn the Israelites. I might say to a wicked person, “You will certainly die because of your sins.” Then you must warn that wicked person to stop doing wicked things. If you do not warn him, he will die because of his sins. But I will say that you are guilty of his death. If you do warn him and he refuses to change, he will die because of his sins. But you will have saved your own life. Son of man, give Israel's people this message: “You are saying, ‘The punishment for our sins is too much for us. We are dying because of all the bad things that we have done. What should we do so that we can continue to live?’ ” Tell them, “It does not make me happy to punish wicked people with death. I, the Almighty Lord, promise you this, as surely as I live. I want wicked people to stop doing wrong things so that they may continue to live. So stop doing evil things! Israel's people, you do not have to die. Turn back to me!” Son of man, you must say to your people, “If a righteous person refuses to obey me, I will punish him. The good things that he has done will not save him. And if a wicked person stops doing bad things, he will no longer be guilty. Righteous people will not continue to live if they start to do bad things.” I may say to righteous people that they will certainly continue to live. But then they may trust in the good things that they have done. They may think that I will not punish them if they start to do evil things. But if they do that, I will destroy them because of their sins. I will not even think about the good things that they did at an earlier time. Also, I may say to wicked people, “You will certainly die because of your sins.” But then they may stop doing bad things. They may start to do things that are good and right. For example, a wicked person might give back something that he has taken from someone as a guarantee. Or he might give back things that he has robbed from people. A wicked person might start to obey the laws that give life. He might stop doing evil things. If wicked people change like that, then they will continue to live. They will not die as punishment for their sins. I will not think about the sins that they have done. Now that they have started to do things that are good and right, they will certainly continue to live. Your people, the Israelites, are saying: “The Lord is not fair in the things that he does!” But it is the people themselves who live in a way that is not fair. If a righteous person stops doing good things and he starts to do evil things, he will die. He deserves to die because of his sins. Also, if a wicked person stops doing bad things and he starts to do things that are good and right, he will continue to live. He deserves to live because he has changed.
See, It says The Entire Law is Based on these Two Commandments.
And Jesus said these Commandments Still Stand.. They are Not Abolished and that includes the 6th Commandment : thou shall Not kill.
So, if thou shall Not kill is part of the Ten Commandments, then why would anyone try and Justify killing in any way, shape or form? Killing is killing, even if that is by taking your own life.
How is killing ourselves putting our full Trust and faith in God..
God gave us Authority so that we can stand firm against these wicked and evil temptations and tests from the enemy.
We need to Start Using that Authority.
Jesus didn't die for our sins and then Resurrect on the Third Day so that we could just take our lives anyway as if Jesus dying for us wasn't enough..
No, Jesus died for our sins..
Jesus Conquered death.. Jesus Conquered the grave..
      Suicide is Never the answer.
Authority!! Folks still cast out those unclean spirits till this very day, All in The Mighty Name of Jesus!!

All those miracles Jesus and His Disciples performed didn't just stop.. People Still perform these Miracles in The Mighty Name of Jesus till this very day!
Let the Holy Spirit Guide you into All Truth.. John 16:13.

We as humans are too quick to judge and condemn others based on our own logic and understanding from even the Bible, God is VASTLY above us and operates outside of space and even time itself, only God knows what's truly in the hearts of others, whether they are victims to murders, suicide, mental illness, the list can go on. For anyone to condemn someone to hell in their own understanding is not very fair of them to do so, even if they have endured such mental health problems or spiritual attacks. We are all weak and in need of a saviour, suicide is theoretically on a similar spectrum as cancer is, a spiritual cancer if you even wish to call it such, and even with treatment as with cancer sometimes cancer wins sometimes treatment works, not always. It is not selfish when your brain is literally malfunctioning to the point of any other human organ failing that someone can see suicide as an option to take. It is abhorrent and disgusting for people to judge others to hell when they are not and have not been in their "shoes" as in their lives. Seeing people shout and throw scripture verses at others who may need help since God not only acts within us but through other people, even with doctors and medications, therapy, just even being a friend to those who need help the most. The inability to actually care about some people who are pushed to their mental limit, and just automatically assume "oh they're in hell, la dee da no rainbows in heaven for them" is just disgusting showing a deep disregard for someone losing a battle in life. Not all battles can be won, even with God on our side, as even Christians, EVERYONE will still slip and fall and sin, it is our unfortunate nature, we are fallen humans that need help from others, not condemnation. Pray for those who have taken their lives, not condemn them, you DO NOT KNOW what they have had to go through.

Thank you for speaking out. People don't know what the other person's are going thru. I know I tried to take my life twice because of the nightmares of what happened to me as a 5 year old child. But I heard about Jesus in a mental hospital. There was a gentleman that worked there. He told me about Jesus. I am so thankful He didn't judge me but told me about a loving Jesus. I askedJesis into my heart on my family room floor face down. Jesus came into my heart. It was totally true what he said about Jesus. It has been 35 years. I am still learning how much He truly loves me. Yes He is still healing me as I can handle it 😊😊😊

People who are miserable and going through hell on Earth think that suicide is going to put them at rest. It won't. If they choose to WILFULLY kill themselves they will wake up in shock on the other side because they'll be in even worse hell than what they ever went through on Earth. To off yourself means that you are choosing death, not life. So if you choose death, your soul will be dead forever in Hell. Don't choose to end your life and expect to have life in Heaven, because you won't. Eternal life is for those who choose to LIVE and offing yourself is ultimately you choosing to die, it's you choosing Satan over Jesus because Satan is death and Jesus is life. God gave you your life and gave you a choice. You choosing to end it means you're choosing Satan and not Him. People killing themselves thinking they will be in peace and be in Heaven are super deceived. There's no way someone can choose death and then wake up in Heaven, it contradicts everything. If you think you're in the worst pain here on Earth right now, imagine ending it only to wake up in a million times worse torture and pain in Hell, then wishing you could come back to Earth where that pain was nothing compared to where you find yourself on the other side of suicide. Stuck in a place you can never come out of. How do you expect to be given the gift of life, then taking that life into your own hands, ending it like you're in control, like you're your own god, then expect to be in a peaceful paradise? People actually think this way and that's a dangerous way of thinking. That's how the devil gets people to do it and steals souls. Don't make an eternal mistake that you can never come back from.

      Gods Love Conquers All.
I will gladly keep going if anyone needs me to.

While suicide is wrong, NO, suicide doesn't cause you to lose salvation.
Because Salvation is by faith alone and not works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Salvation is NOT gained or lost based on which commandments you kept or broke.
If suicide causes salvation loss, that means you need to keep the commandment of "thou shalt not kill" to be saved and this is works salvation and turns salvation into a reward.
If salvation is reserved for those who endure hardship without committing suicide, salvation becomes man's achievement.

I would say that they would because they are murdering themselves and murder is one of the 10 commandments. It’s sad but I believe that it’s sin and sin still separates us from GOD and sends us to hell. Grace mercy and forgiveness is only for those that are on earth. Once you die the Bible says you will be judged and go to either heaven or hell. We should pray for those that are suicidal because there minds are under attack and they truly are in so much pain that they believe it’s better if they die.

The Devil is a liar straight from hell who comes to destroy. Choose life -- the one that the Lord Jesus came to bring. Draw near to the LORD if you're thinking of committing suicide. In no way does He want you to take your own life. I'm not here to say what one's fate is if s/he commits such a thing. Rather, the Lord Jesus can absolutely deliver you. Seek Him! He can heal your wounds, trauma, deliver you and give you a new life. I battled depression for decades and I am free of that bondage and state of mind. I even recall a few times hearing something outside of myself that I should just take my life. It wasn't me. It wasn't the LORD! I'm a witness that if something is telling you to take your life -- it's from the Enemy. Cry out to the Lord Jesus and He will rescue you!! Jump into His Word by reading the Bible and ask the Lord to meet you right there. Go fall prostrate and pour out your soul to Him and lay your burdens at His. Don't give up!!

Of course Not.
      Gods Love Conquers All.
I will gladly keep going if anyone needs me to.

Regarding on the 2:30 message, I just wanna share that Commiting Suicide is Different to Accident...
So if you are a REAL Christian, then why you will end your life??? Suicide is a choice and will on the person, accident is not a will of the person and its surely the will of the Lord...

@@KingMath787 Suicide is a sin, but not the greatest sin which determines one’s eternal destiny. You don’t know with 100% certainty whether someone will go to hell or not. Everyone is not immune to sin at the very end of their lives because as long as we are in this worldly flesh, we will always have the capacity to sin. That’s why I was being precise with my wording “not all people”, as it could be one person out of millions who commit suicide is still being saved. I don’t know, neither do you, only God knows.

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. - Matthew 10:28, Jesus own words. If you are interested here is more. Here are few verses which Jesus Himself told regarding hell from the gospel of Mathew alone, And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. - Matthew 10:28, Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. - Matthew 7:19, And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. - Matthew 5:29-30, But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. - Matthew 5:22, But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. - Matthew 8:12, 14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. - 15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. - Matthew 10:14-15, He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. - Matthew 10:39, 21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades.[e] For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day. 24 But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.” - Matthew 11:21-24, 36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” - Matthew 12:36-37, 40 “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear. - Matthew 12:40-43, 47 “Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. 48 When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. 49 This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous 50 and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. - Matthew 13:47-50, He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. - Matthew 15:13, 25 For whoever wants to save their life[f] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? - Matthew 16:25-26, If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell. - Matthew 18:8-9, 43 “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. 44 Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.”[i] - Matthew 21:43-44, And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. - Matthew 25:46

If suicide causes salvation loss, this IS works salvation because keeping commandments would be necessary.
Verses 16-17 talk about those who persecute the Church and God's people. God will avenge His elect.
Salvation is free. Period. It is NOT conditional upon what you do. Otherwise, it becomes a reward we earn by our works.
And no, suicide doesn't result in salvation loss. Anyone who teaches that is teaching works salvation because you would need to keep the commandment of "thou shall not kill" to enter Heaven.

You do realize suicide happens Daily right?
And that includes those who were followers of Jesus Christ.. Jesus said in

13 “Enter God’s Kingdom ONLY through The Narrow Gate.
For the ROAD to hell IS BROAD, and its GATE IS WIDE FOR THE MANY WHO CHOOSE THAT WAY.
14 But SMALL IS THE GATE and NARROW IS the Road that LEADS TO LIFE and the Road IS DIFFICULT, and ONLY A FEW WILL EVER FIND IT.
Why else do you think God says in
Hosea 4:6 "My People PERISH for LACK of KNOWLEDGE."
Where do you think Knowledge comes from?
Where do you think Understanding of Gods Word comes from?
It comes from The Holy Spirit.. Jesus tells us in
John 14:26 that the Holy Spirit is our Teacher!! He is our Helper!!
      Jesus said in
John 16:13 "The Holy Spirit is The One Who Guides us into All Truth."
Isaiah 11:2 "And The Spirit of The Lord will rest on him-- The Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, The Spirit of Counsel and Might, The Spirit of Knowledge AND the FEAR OF THE LORD."
Do you have a Complete Understanding of What it means to Really FEAR The Lord?..
Yes, God is a God of Love and Compassion BUT He is Also a Just God He is a God of Order.. so there is Order in His courts.
Daniel 5:27 you have been weighed on the balances and have Not measured up.
God will weigh us on a scale.. He will Judge us by All that we have done throughout our lives and All that we Didn't do.
Scriptures tell us that God makes it very clear that He hates Dishonesty and He hates Cheating.. so why are we trying to cheat God of our own Appointed Time?
How is that ok in God's Eyes?
If God is going to let those who kill themselves into Heaven, those who were followers.. then we all as followers might as well just kill ourselves when the going gets tough right?
No! That was Not God's plan.. His word says in
Matthew 24:13 "THE ONE WHO ENDURES TO THE END WILL BE SAVED."
Tell me, How do we ENDURE TO THE END.. if we just take our own life?
Don't just pick and choose what scriptures you want to live by.. we are to Live By ALL of Gods Scriptures.
And we are Not to Twist Gods word to our own liking so that we can be comfortable, No, Jesus Never said that it would be easy.. as a Matter of Fact, He says the total opposite all throughout His teachings.
      He even tells us in
John 16:33 to "Take Heart, I have OVERCOME THE WORLD"
      Jesus even said in
Matthew 11:28-29 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest."
Then right after that, Jesus says "Let Me TEACH YOU"..
So how is someone Allowing Jesus through The Holy Spirit to Teach them if they just took their own life?
How is someone who has commited suicide giving all their heavy burdens to Jesus if they just took their own life?
Please ask The Lord to Give you Eyes that see and ears that hear so that you will Understand His ways.. for His ways are Higher!!
      Isaiah 55:8-9
"For MY THOUGHTS are NOT your thoughts, NEITHER are your ways My ways, DECLARES THE LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, SO ARE MY WAYS HIGHER THAN your WAYS and MY THOUGHTS THAN your THOUGHTS."
Matthew 13:15 "For this people’s heart have become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEARTS AND TURN, AND I WOULD HEAL THEM."
