Love these releases
Have you got a chance to watch Touch yet?
This looks quite exceptional. Might have to scoop this one up. Really dig Elmore Leonard adaptions.
Love the Paul Schrader fillms ive seen. I recommend Rolling Thunder (from Shout) which is one of QTs fav, and Hardcore (from Kino)
I think that’ll be a good essay. Bilge Ebiri wrote the lengthy “The Once and Future Kane” essay for Criterion’s Citizen Kane release, and I thought it was a good read.
You should checkout the new FILM NOIR Vol 2 box set from Radiance
I'll check it out. I'm actually considering making a Radiance order soon.
@@FilmsByColor I can 100% recommend the first set - all of the movies are great. The Commedia all'italiana box set is another must have
@@AndyKing1963 Radiance is brilliant. easily the best label out there but I am happy to see Criterion having such a stellar year as well unlike previous ones
I had been very excited for this release since it was announced, but watched it last night and thought it was an absolute stinker. Incredibly boring and a mishmash of performances that aren't really in sync. I feel like no one involved knew whether this was going to be a drama or comedy when making it and that really shows with the very awkward character interactions. I'm generally a very easy moviegoer to please, but this was unfortunately just forgettable.
