I think it might be because this song is in the format used by old SNES games that had a lot of depth and emotion. It makes people yearn for the good old days when music was like this in games all the time.

Yeah, it personally reminds me of some kind of eastern oriental music as well for some strange reason...
It reminds me of Autumn. There's something about it with that same wispy almost magical feeling that Fall brings. Moreover, it reminds me of all sorts of memories from Autumn of 2015, perhaps my favorite year of my life for reasons that are too long to list. This song fills me with nostalgia, and I can't help but tear up a little whenever I hear it, usually when I want to remember the 'good old days'. I with I could play game this for the first time again, but at the same time I don't want to injure my tear ducts again.

What I love about this song is that it suits a number of situations you can be in. Keep in mind that this is the track that plaus throughout a majority of the first area in the game. Every time you restart your game, you end up right here.

Yes!!! And, if it's been years since you've played, it gives a beautiful sense of nostalgia. All those memories of the first time you played, the hours it took trying to navigate the puzzles that you now know by heart? I find myself humming this song all the time, and hearing the official version triggers so many memories. While it may be annoying at first because you keep dying, coming back to it brings a new perspective :]

This music makes me feel nostalgic for the old days (for me, when I was a kid around 2007-2009) even though this game came out in 2015. THAT'S how great this is. When you can make music that gives people nostalgia for the past even before the music existed, you're doing something right.

This song was the anthem of last winter for me. My girlfriend introduced me to this game and we obsessed over it throughout the cold months, reveling in its music and characters and lore. It really enriched our relationship and made those months magical.

In winter of 2016, after playing and falling in love with Undertale, I had a job at FedEx that started at 4AM, and my commute in the cold, foggy night was 15 minutes through empty suburban streets into desolate river delta backroads, and for my few months working there, I would play this video as my soundtrack. It was a ritual. It fit so perfectly, and lent the trip a mystical quality that made it all the better. I don't miss the job, but I remember the surreal night drive with this soundtrack so fondly.

It was with this track that Undertale started for me. Not from the loading screen, and not from Flowey, but from the entrance to the Ruins. I heard this music. The moment when something amazing opened up in front of me. I felt that an incredible and unforgettable journey awaited me. Every game should start with this kind of music.

Why do I love this so much? It feels magical and each time I listen to it, the tune feels more and more familiar.. Quite a while ago, I forgot the OST for Undertale due to not watching / listening for some time, and this tune was in my head the whole period... Some time ago, I had a dream where Toriel saved me from a creepy monster. She told me to jump on her back for protection and I did so she then firmly told the creepy thing to go away. I thanked her afterwards and hugged her. :) I woke up! Best dream ever! :3

I feel so nostalgic whenever I hear this theme. It reminds me of when I had first gotten the demo and I was so intrigued by everything and amazed by the music and the gameplay. I never get the same feeling when listening to any of the other songs.

Man, this takes me back. I remember playing Undertale for the first time in 2016 while I was a uni student, and I used to listen to this and other 15-min versions of the soundtrack while writing my dissertation. I used to love it so much just working away to great music: so much so I even credited the soundtrack in the acknowledgements section of my dissertation when it was done! Just a brilliant game and a brilliant collection of music to boot

I somehow get a little depressed when I hear this song for some reason. Probably because of that I made the mistake of resetting the game when I first tried the true pacifist ending and I didn't hang out with Undyne and Papyrus so I got the neutral ending, by the time I realised that I had to hang out with them I had already reset the game and started a genocide run but restarted AGAIN and played the WHOLE game again and got the true ending finally. Then after that I tried a genocide run but I didn't kill all the monsters in Hotland and talked to Sans and then saved after that for some reason. I started a genocide run again but reset after I realised that I was supposed to kill enough monsters in the ruins until it says "but nobody came" and I realised that after I got to the forest and reset. Now I'm stuck with Sans. Sorry for the long comment, have a sunflower 🌻

I just bought Undertale recently, and it is a very good game. The music is just amazing. It can bring you a feeling of joy, sadness, calm, insanity or anxiety. I haven't finished the game yet, but it's very entertaining. My only regret of playing this game is not having played it sooner when it came out.
