Coronavirus is creating opportunities for trying lots of new things. At 74 this is my first try at cutting my wife's hair. It's scary but the explanation is really clear and the demonstration makes it easy to follow. I'm even enjoying this challenge. Thanks for being such a good teacher. One suggestion; seeing how you hold the scissors and comb is really valuable and key to success. Take a moment to explain it to rookies please.

My mum asked me to cut her shoulder length bob into a pixie cut, despite the fact I've never cut hair in my life. I followed this tutorial closely, and it turned out great! The volumising techniques you demonstrate work perfectly. Thank you for the hard work you put into sharing your expertise.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. You are an amazing teacher! Due to this horrible pandemic my 83 year old mother hasn’t been able to go to her hair dresser for a while, and desperately need a cut. She loves a pixie cut and asked her hair dresser last time for this cut and the hair dresser refused to cut her hair short. With your video I was able to cut my mothers hair into an adorable pixie cut and it came out really really nice! I thank you so much for this video because I am a therapist not a hairdresser. Mom’s cut looks adorable, it softened her features and took years off years off her. Mom’s hair looks so full and thick. Your techniques were so easy to follow. Her hair now falls into place so nicely and she doesn’t have to struggle with a blow dryer and a brush. All she has to do is use her fingers and just shake it a little bit and it looks nice. I know I said this before but you are an amazing teacher. Thank you so so much from the bottom of my heart.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for the video - I have tried explaining this cut (which I want) to stylists and have had too many lousy cuts in a row. I did it myself today!!! Slow and steady being very careful with hand position, but I got there and it looks great. You do an incredible job making it easy to understand and you do it so relaxed which made me feel relaxed watching and pausing your video as I went along!

Thanks so much... I’ve learned a lot today. I have fine dense hair, which my stylist cuts into a pixie. With the whole covid thing happening I have been cutting my own hair into a layered pixie...and you know what?...my hair has actually looked good. Had some bad parental 🙄haircuts when I was a kid...and stylists didn’t want to cut my hair into a shag 😭when I was a teen. So I started cutting my own hair in grade 4. I really got a lot out of this tutorial you filled in a lot of the blanks for me.

What a great and simple video. I haven’t been able to go to my hairdresser. Have had the flu etc. Although i went to hairdressing school when i was young the techniques have changed. I was able to trim and give myself an asymmetrical pixie bob. It’s exactly like you said. Follow the lines and the hair will show you where it needs to be cut. Thank you so much.

what if you are doing this to YOURSELF??? its not as easy... plus my hair has a wave in it, and oh im getting frustrated. Its gets very thick-ish on the left side over ear cuz i wear that section longer. i cant seem to get the knack of the layering, i dont have as much hair as your model haha. do ALL PIXIE CUTS have bangs that comb forward?????

Brilliant tutorial. Just one thing and maybe it was just me but even when I adjusted the brightness on my phone it was hard to see and I think it was maybe the fact that you were working on with dark hair, using a dark comb and you wore dark clothing. But I could still follow it and enjoy it.

If I cut my hair to short it shows, if I leave it long it splits the hairs and shows too.
