- With the weather changing and the prospect of us moving back to the UK for good becoming more likely. I decided it was finally time to make this iconic blacksmith project.
Forging a boot scraper is not only a great way to improve fundamental blacksmith skills but it also helps keep the house clean!

My name is Joel. I am a 16 year old craftsman from the hot and sunny land of England. I do, however, spend much of my time in France with my mother, father, horse-mad, younger sister and about a million bloodthirsty mosquitoes. I like Christian rap music, videography, calisthenics, drinking tea and making stuff (obviously).
I upload a new video every month. Most of the things I do are forged out of steel but I do also make other things from different materials.
My goal is to inspire young people to try something new and I want to do it in a way that honours my Father in heaven.
Thank you for all the support

Very nice and functional.
Brilliant Joel! U make it look so easy!😍
Awsome
Thank you.
It's nice work though what are we scraping off our boots? Is this more for leather sole boots? When I think boots, I think deep tread work boots!
Where we live we have quite a lot of mud, so come the end of the day you have what feels like a ton of mud on your feet. This just helps to get rid of some of that.
In Colonial times the soles of boots were smooth, unlike today's boots with deep treads.
@@thecottage4493 the deep soled treads are a 20th century invention. We had, and continue to have, smooth sole work boots. Just depends on the job, and location.
@@TingTingalingy Very true. I wear moc toe Thorogood's everyday for work.
@@thecottage4493 that's a pair I've considered getting. They look great for long periods on hard surfaces
