With ‘Solid Gold’, PNAU set out to capture the hypnotic, everlasting rhythm of old disco records. The song was inspired equal parts by Nick Littlemore’s explorations into world music and the sun drenched energy of Australia, incorporating live instrumentation to create a richer, fuller sound. It’s a banger built to soundtrack good times but, Littlemore says, it’s also about “the love of a best friend and being able to depend on people”.

Love this song from PNAU. I listen to it on repeat since it was released.
I am a long time fan of Pnau, but they don’t always hit the mark. On this song they do hit the mark with a solid beat and groove in general, one that has great vocals to match and it will make your body move, just a little. This is great indie electropop that probably only Triple J will play.
Triple J is where the good music is at anyways. I can see this song going on Nova in like 4 months and blowing up
@@declanhathaway2141 yep, nearly 60 and Triple J is still the one and only music station I listen and commercial radio have always followed it months after they gave it a chance.
Most people over 30 hate any type of electronic music with a passion, nice seeing someone who appreciates the work that goes into it. Commercial radio is rubbish, anything electronic on there is generic and engineered to be Top 40 music.
