@@vmannn4259 wow thank you for telling me this it's not like i knew this or anything it's almost like i alluded to the music kicking up when a vulture is on screen
@@ramox6662 no what you initially said is that the longer you are in the open the higher the layer song goes up, no indication at all that this is all dependent on how many enemies and what kind of kind enemies are present on the current screen.
I even noticed that almost EVERY Rain World gameplay video I’ve seen, every time that someone goes to Chimney Canopy, for some whatever reason, the threat theme doesn’t play properly, and the layers gets off sync, and it’s for Chimney Canopy SPECIFICALLY of ALL the regions in the entire game. 💀
i hate chimney canopy with a burning passion, ive only ever gone there to get to the wall. hearing bass, arps, vox n noise always means a vulture and these sounds have brought me so much pain
I entered chimney canopy and somehow became skilled at killing stuff, particularly lizards, when at first I had never killed anything larger than an eggbug. I don't know why, I don't know how, I just... _did._
Chimney Canopy is maybe my favorite region. Especially the tower with the shelter and bats at the top. It's challenging but there are ways around any problem. Just dynamic enough for me.
I'm still on my first playthrough, but I also think that it might be my favourite so far. Edit: my...fourth...playthrough.... Edit 2: Oh god. Trying to get through there as saint nearly made me cry
The kick part in a lot of the ost is such a great way of keeping the intensity going in a moment of silence. The soft percussion/base feels like a racing heartbeat, giving the world a sense that things are TOO quiet and that you should remain alert.
French canopy: 🐸🐸🐸 (because tree frogs live in the jungle, and canopies are associated with jungles. So if there were jungles in France, there would be a lot of people living in trees)
Mmm. I always felt the Perc2 hits to be the sound of Vulture wings/feathers (they're not really feathers, they're drawn stick-like) hitting the ground as they swoop in and start skulking around
I imagine the feathers to be like air bladders in a way. They actually get bigger when they’re in flight and sort of deflate when the vulture is walking, so maybe I’m onto something?
Oh my god THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! Chimney Canopy's threat music has always been my favorite. How did you even make these mixes anyway? lol Did you get the individual files and layered them?

i love having zero food around, needing 4 karma for the gate and having 3 vultures in the same room
We all know the exact room you're talking about
Ah good memories 😌
i love how the music gradually kicks up the longer you’re out in the open, like it’s a countdown until a vulture swoops in
no the game relies on a dynamic system that tracks how much danger you are in, and then adjusts to different layers of the song accordingly.
@@vmannn4259 yes but vultures are so common in chimney canopy that it might as well be a countdown
@@baaalduridk i rarely see vultures outside of the room right before the gate to the wall

I'm only now realising that my game runs so bad that the threat themes play at 0.75% speed. This sounds so much better.
oh god I put it on 0.75x playback speed and it's horrible

the bass on this threat music is iconic as hell as well...
I always hear the shaker and just know I'm about to fight a vulture.
I like the percussion in this threat theme the most, always enjoy hearing it in the game when something dangerous is approaching

vultures, 2 pink lizards, 1 white lizard in the back, and a gang of scavs
Great time 😍😌
I stepped out of my shelter once amidst a full-on battle between some pink lizards, two scav tribes, and like 4 vultures
Cant wait for safari, I'm most excited for cc
I don't know why people war with scavengers, they are my friends and they help to get out of such situations
That's why I always take my vulture mask, spear and slugpup protection.
