31:53 its because the pop-up windows at the bottom of the screen showing the needs of the population are time sensitive, the longer they're on the more dramatic impact it has on the population. I know it because I've tried each and every troubleshooting solution, gone through all difficulties, tried to fulfil all their needs and it doesn't matter how well I did I always ended up in the same dead end, which was going down on the protective gear/tool spiral. However prot. gear is bugged so it doesn't matter how well educated (thus how well you maximize the durability of your prot. gear) and how satisfied your population, you will always end up with having a population literally chewing up tools and prot. gear. And this is the result of a messed up game mechanism, devs don't care about fixing it, it would be a great game but I'm sure they didn't put any effort into a long-term (8+ hour) testing of the game or if they did they just ignore its broken. Thanks for the video though, good to know I'm not the only having difficulties with this game.
Its def not for the impatient. I almost never use faster speed because i plan my cities out in a way that everyone remains busy at all times. I hope you have/are still enjoying this gem
Thx, I did not know the trick with the water-supply. But within my third attempt, I build a school really early to increase productivity, and also metal tools are so important from the start.
thinking about picking up this game since endzone2 has just released and now this looks at a fun state well done to the devs and great tutorial underrated content creator thanks mate
One of the only games I can say don't play on easy lmao, its like a speed run speed run non stop shit, the easier u make the game the quicker you have to be lol
Ah, the irrigation "trick", need enough water though. I used it now and then, particularly where had foresting and gathering areas (made an outpost center of certain buildings), could keep the work up through droughts. Think I figured it out myself early on. I plan the city/town early on, where use water collectors and other pollution neutral buildings as a buffer between industrial areas and houses.
I believe you can check how they are dying in the pie chart button at the bottom left of the screen. Just started but I found that last night. I only saw old age on mine but its not in the tutorial or the survival guide 🤷🏻♂️
I’m linking this game so far but I’m running into a problem where my settlers are collecting water really slow. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or I’m I doing something wrong but they weren’t doing that before
If you play scenarios, does it turn on some of those harder settings without you knowing? All ive been trying is the scenarios but i always hit a hard stop where people either get sick and die too fast to recover from rad or food plumets and they starve.
I'm confused. I tried the irrigation way and it didn't keep the radiation away. In fact it made a circle of radiation around itself where there was none. What am I doing wrong :(
Love this game, best Banished clone out there while introducing newer concepts like electricity. Only issue are the weird english translations at times and a bit preachy for a completely nonsensical fictional game.
I'm quite disappointed with the game now that i checked out some videos. I started to play without the tutorial and on hard settings. Wanted a challenge. At first it was satisfying: learning stuff, losing, restarting. But at some point I couldn't get any further so I decided I check out some videos to see if I missed anything. And well.. the conclusion is, you have to ignore most of the game mechanics and abuse water sprinklers to get anywhere. That just seems like a badly balanced game to me. You would think that actually managing clothes and tools would get you to succeed and not be your downfall. Real bummer and strikes me as lazy development.

I buy this game a day ago and realize this game not easy like other building strategy
however, still I love to play and learn

Played this a couple of dozen times. On the easiest level: 30-45 minutes of building and watching people die. The end.

This guide is actually better than the tutorial! Thank you :)
it's only missing the newscaster tutorial voiceover guy!
Agreed
Yes! I love this game and your guides. Can't wait to follow along on your guides/playthrough!
You can upgrade the cistern to a water tower, saves some materials.
This guide is very helpful. Thanks for making this video!
Good video, keep it up! It would be nice to have you stream on Twitch so peaople could ask questions on point, also would help you to. Cheers!

EP 2 should be out within the next 1-2 days
nice!

This game feels like a futuristic "Banished" (and I say this in a good way, as I really like Banished).
It’s very much post apoc banished
We need more of End zone please
I’ll work on EP 2 soon
you did 🙂

Probably I haven’t played many of the scenarios though

You need coal to clean the water in water towers
can we get a maximal difficulty guide

A little like 'Surviving the aftermath'?
No
Thank you for this. Helps me alot.
So basically Anno but as an apocalypse?
It’s not like anno
They were dying of old age probably
