Namjoon does not want to be a firework. He doesnt want to be among the stars and unreachable and burn out and dissappear. He wants to be on the ground like a field of flowers, a flower work. It took me way too long to realize this.
When listening to this song I cried... then as I listened to Namjoon being interviewed by AMP/Zach Sang, and Weverse conversations with ARMY about the art of each song and inspiration... I realized these were written or inspired back in 2019, Like Forgetfulness was complete and in holding for this album. We know Namjoon has been feeling these lyrics in this song for a while and talked about it at the Festa dinner. I think the album is encouraging as he is being real in expressing himself - he really wants us to listen to it chronologically from one feeling to the next. So I stopped crying, seems he is passing through all of this and finding balance in this time off...he will come back but this time maintain his wildness in his field.
This song was produced by Dockskim who also produced Lie for Jimin. He’s been with BTS as the band keyboardist. Exceptionally talented jazz musician. He had the most heartbreaking/inspiring quote about this. He’d decided to give up producing and lost his love for music but making this track with RM brought back his love for music again. He shared a video on Instagram of his toddler jumping up and down as soon as this song came on, she obviously loves her dads song. This whole song is art. Pure art the whole album is.
this song... is evidence to everyone who says they dont write their music and arent artists... this is a literal poem from namjoon. no line repeats except for the start and end closers and the whole thing is a literal poem from his heart.
I see re-occurring RM themes in this song. Most of all, I feel Namjoon's terrible and heart-shattering pain at not being able to be his authentic self because of the industry he is in. I can't imagine - but RM makes me feel it in this soaring song. And that's why I cry every time I listen to it. Indeed, iconic.

This song his the mirror of how Namjoon is feeling for a long time which he showed so well in Festa 2022. He needs freedom, a new chapter, to be more himself and to have emotional structure and support in his personal life. His freedom it's represented by the wild flowers field vs fireworks (star shows, concerts and celebrity life). That's why he aims for flowerworks vs fireworks. 💜
I think what he could also be talking about when he says _"take my desire away"_ is his wish to return to the time when he wasn't a member of BTS, or RM the persona. He wants to be Kim Namjoon, the person who grew up in llsan again. But because of his desire and passion to make music and be on this team called BTS, he doesn't want to give up just yet. He's struggling to find a middle ground for the person he wishes to be again, but he just can't give up.
And this kinda goes back to what he said at the Festa Dinner Party. To summarize his speech, he mentioned the multiverse in Doctor Strange and how he believes that there might be multiple universes with different "Kim Namjoons" walking around with a normal seven-to-day job, however, he's grateful for this Kim Namjoon because not only is he interested in music - but because he also got into the company and met the CEO, Bang PD, and the members of BTS. He's lucky that he found this group of wonderful people who are talented and respect him, he is just grateful to be here and in BTS...

She was born in 1977. Her voice is so clean and powerful.
Finally RM Indigo was released. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 First, I was so happy when I found out that Youjeen was featured in RM's new song. Actually, as a metal maniac, I am also a fan of Youjeen around the early 2000's. She is vocal from rock group Cherry Filter. Her voice is very unique and attractive. "Romantic Cat" this song, immediately fell in love with her voice. 🎶 listening to the voices of RM and Youjeen together is very lyrical and dreamy. The landscape maximizes these beautiful sounds. My heart hurt for him. I kind of feel responsible in some way for his pain. BTS always tried to please ARMY and we wanted more and more. I am so glad for this break they are taking so they can find themselves once again and heal. 💔

There's a heavy feeling in me listening to this song, but it connects to my inner being, to confront reality, to face it. That everyone have their own battle cries. And this song is namjoon's experience that im sure most of us can relate to. Such a beautiful song.
INDIGO is out now. There isn't an RM Pharrell song yet. I thought there would be on the album, but there isn't one. There are many collaborations though, like Anderson Paak, Erikah Badu, Tablo, and more Korean artistis like the woman on this one, Youjeen is the lead vocalist for Cherry Filter, a South Korean Rock Band.
RM will be on Pharrell’s upcoming album.

I looked youjeen up & listened to some of her stuff. Love her voice. I read yesterday someone kinda disappointed bc the songs had someone else featured. They didnt seem real happy abt it, like they just wanted to hear just him & felt let down. BUT….. this is what joon wanted. Its HIS album of what he wanted to do. So it seems he wanted to do alot of colabs and did it! I personally love it. He finally got to do what he’s wanted to do. This song hits hard but ive only been army since August 2021. For those of you who have been there for a long time, im sure this hits so much harder bc you were there & lived it with them. Also, look how grown up mr joonie is! Lol. Alot of pressure of being leader is off & i swear he grown up to a mature adult! Uuuugh. Can he get any more handsome!!!!!!! 😝🥰😘😁

But from what i see 99.99% of army/ppl love Indigo. If i didnt like a particular song, i would not voice my opinion. Joon is my bias & im still not over ugh & cypher 3 from busan concert. Joon has NOT disappointed us. 🤩. Heck im not over jhope & arson, jin & the astronaut. 😆

You should do a reaction on his concert at the Rolling Hall. It's really good! He performed all his songs from his album Indigo and 4 people that song on the album also performed there. Youjeen, who sang Wildflower, was also there.

I strongly agree with you that it is Namjoon's song, not RM.
The Korean title, "Wild Flower Works” is a flame falling to the ground, unlike ‘fireworks’ that flower toward the sky. I can remember his words that he wanted to be a flame, but now he wants to live like a wild flower. Despite achieving everything and standing at the top, living so fiercely in introspection... I'm proud of them, but sometimes I feel sad.
“Wildflower Works” in the MV are an intangible cultural asset of Korea.

Namjoon said himself that he was in a state of confuse about what he really wants to do, as his love from art getting bigger and bigger, he was confuse if he loves art more than he loves music, and that's what scares him. because music is his world, and that's the first thing he really wanted to do when he finally learnt about life. He asked pharrell about it and pharrell reassured him that it was completely normal and the feeling was temporary. And I believe now Namjoon has found a way to balance himself between music and art, without neglecting either. Just like the clip towards the end of this MV where he sang on the stage and in the nature was showing back to back.

I think this song is an extension of what RM talked about in Festa. He was crying as he said it's been so hard to retain his true self. BTS has been running non stop for years as we know. I think this military break, as much as it breaks my heart to see them go, is a time needed for RM to clear his head and find himself again. Don't get me wrong, he loves ARMY and said he can't wait til BTS reunite again after the military service.
