One little addendum: Sigma pulling off his cape could be a reference to his boss fight in Mega Man X5
Actually, it's from his X1 fight on the Super Nintendo.
But since Sigma's body and the cape are different sprites, I can't make an animated gif like other ones in this video to showcase it.

When Mega Man has a small sprayer equipped, one of his poses is taken from his Smash 4 render.
This video is dedicated to intro only. Victory and Weapons pose are not included since it require me to own the character to show it off.

This is amazing. In Dragonball FighterZ they also do this. Every skills movement and pose of each characters is a referrence and call back from the old source material.
You know they have a passion for making the game when they do it like that.

Which is really hard to distinguish since those "general action poses" are the same "general action poses" in other games too.
So I figure I just put together everything I can find, instead of pick and choose.

It is a video game so you can only read into it so much but I've always viewed the stuff that's not an obvious pose or the like as more of just how the characters prefer to move. Sorta like how you might prefer to sit a specific way. So its just how they naturally move rather than a reference but it's stretching either way I guess
For anyone asking about White Day, it happens one month after Valentines Day and its sort of an "after valentines day". Don't know what the point of it is though.
In Japan (and a couple other places) Valentines day is a day where girls give something to the guys they likes. In white day, the guys give something back.

There's a bit more to Sigma. At the 1:18 bit, he could also be referencing his "second" boss fight in X8. On Normal and Hard difficulties, Sigma will initiate his second phase by turning invisible and grabbing your character by the face for the quick kill. Since you're forced to go into the Sigma fight with one character this would be an instant game over, but the second guy will come in for the last-minute save and let you continue the fight.
Somehow, I completely forgot about that.
@@chaozimpact Man that was fast. I just got to Mega Man's bit and was about to point out that him putting on his helmet at 2:17 could be linked back to Mega Man 7 opening segment. And then he did the pose from 2:28.

About the Mega Man reference, I think it's too different to be included since he put the helmet with only one hand and pretty "casually" and not "deep in thought" like X DiVE
The pose at the end is more plausible as Mega Man literally look at the camera to do it so I will consider it for the future.

Before doing his 3 hit swing zero has a pose from promotional art. I suspect there is another reference in that 3 hit combo too.
Sigma's grab @1:18 looks more like how he grabs the player character in X8 than the Day of Sigma OVA. That's a chokehold, whereas in X8 he just grabs the top of their head and yanks them up.

MegaMan series was my childhood and MegaMan X4 was my first game because of this I choose my career path for MegaMan. I'm studing at university and going to study engineering and my brother chose robotic enginnering. We set our career path for MegaMan. Also, i realised this is not enough because the world is so corrupted that everything is sexualised. It hurts me when people try to sexualise MegaMan charecters because, I love the MegaMan charecters so much that when I stumble across such image I instantly look away because out of respect for megaman, and it hurts me what that happens because I take the megaman charecters as my brothers and sisters, as well as my 2nd family.
Everytime, I was alone or had nothing to do, I would play MegaMan games to satisfy my bordism/loneliness. Perhaps, this is excess loving but I know I sound crazy or abit too much but I really dislike a world or to live in a world that people like to sexualise MegaMan. Hopefully, one day I won't witness one over, and thats why I chose this as my career path, not only to create a megaman model but to also to gain some power but to establish laws and such; That no one will dare to do attempt a thing. Perhaps, I sound extreme but in order to protect one thing you have to sacrifice thousands.
As you can see, out of respect for megaman I left megaman because capcom decided to sexualise megaman charecters in Rockman x dive, like I wont beat around the bush, I will just say it. They tried to give megaman female charecters swim suit (exposing their skin also people will give them such looks...i don't want to explain it) and instead of putting some of the best megaman charecters in they put charecters like leviathan (she's awesome but some people don't deserve to see her because of their intentions are not pure), I understand its great to include female charecters but they did it for fan service and it angers me because they could have also or first put ciel (modesty dressed charecter) from megaman zero then introduce her afterwards. To not give the impression of such thing and if you don't understand how business strategy works then you won't understand it but even though, to such degree you can intercede some stuff of what im informing you.
To do such, a vile thing and inputing fan service in megaman and treating them like objects boils my blood. That's why, out of respect I left it because I didn't want to attach my heart too much to it because it reminded my of my past (how much great time I had with it and playing it with my sibling) and everytime IF I were to stumble across something messed up about it, it would rip me to shreds and thats why I want to pursue in my career life and hopefully one day I can fulfill my dream and I SWEAR TO GOD, if it can become true then Lo! And behold! how I will bring fourth laws and such in place. I swear I will make such a world where people will hesitate to do such. Please, remember I love megaman so much that I set my OWN career path for it and just like you would protect your own family, I would portect my own family which is megaman. In order to solve this, we need to come together and prevent such stuff taking place in megaman and give them a backlash, that they will never forget and remind them if you try to mix sexualise stuff in megaman. You will be called out for it and ONCE, we fixed this issue with megaman we can go on and create this regulations in other stuff.
This system (or rule) cannot be put in place. Cannot be done by one person, we all need to do come together...as a die hard fan I realised this would not be possible, as to why I set out for my goal but you can try to fulfill what I said but I highly doubt people will be sided with you. These bastards, who are sex driven perverts interject their poisen whoever they go and these people are a literally a walking bomb in anime society. The way I see it, Japan is a sex driven country and because of their culture they have many high rape cases and if you know. Japan's, biggest weapon is not their militarism but anime. With anime they can converse there messages, whenever its cultural or political stuff but one thing is for they have sexualise stuff in their culture and they have successfully manged to nail it in everyone's head. Now, everyone is a slave of their lifestyle.
Before anime, people were in some-what normal and not that way of perverts and when anime was introduced and fast forward to people after 2007(who weren't anime fans and started becoming anime fans) so this includes people who not worthy knowing about anime started taking interest in it...and when the unworthy people take interest in such thing, they will ruin it for everyone. Its a shame anime was originated in Japan, a country where sex is totally normal. Also I heard, in Japan, you know how people have cigarette breaks to relief yourself, you can have sex breaks like in the office and have a quick one and buy prostitute. Its a shame that anime was made in this country. No wonder, you have peoppe getting molested everywhere, in trains, stalked in bally etc. Also, when Japan has such weapon in their arsenal: Since then, they have appealed their culturism to everyone and not only japan people are perverts in genral (as to their life style) but you have pervertism concept going in anime and this has spreaded and effectively affected those normel people and innocent minds and who had no idea and made them also perverted and desire-chasing people like the Japanese but worse and this literally 100x-times the pervertism in the anime community.
It was because of this how it effected many anime games and series, you see fan service going on in many stuff and how this "ecchi" or "h****" got created because in Japan you can make a business out of anything and when people started to see anime can also be used for business strategies, you have these other bastards making H-rated stuff and echi stuff out of it and because of the money/fame they will make out of it (or spread in their culture) and they have ruined it for everyone. It baffles me how Japanese can sexualise anything, to first from taking pleasure from a real person to taking pleasure from a digital image, then to a body pillow...this world will never be fixed not untill people like me or with sense of justice speak againt these stuff...they say "its our business" or "were not hurting anyone", in reality they spread their toxicity everywhere and ruin it for everyone else by making h-rared pictures of a charecter and spreading it on the net for their money/fame purposes and therefore, ruining everyone's childhood and in some cases mentally affecting. If you look at it, in a psychological way and in everyones perspective, these bastards ruining everyone's childhood because of their selfish desires. They affect the innocent minds and give them psychological nightmares. I really do wish hell exist for them. I really wish, if I had a choice a choice I would have not wanted MegaMan to be existed in this world or even Anime to be existed. Sorry, for giving a rant guys, but I thought I should tell you the history of how this sexual stuff in anime occurred...as well as why megaman and everything is not what it used to be...when you research too much, look further and grow older you realise that there's something more than meets the eye and how this world is corrupted. Mainly, because of how the theres such laws are placed all around the world like USA and such...when you give freedom of speech to everyone this is what it turns out to be. People will do everything in the name of "freedom of speech". And claiming "i can do what I want". You can't even be modest no more, people will sexualise anything and in the future times will be worse. You will have no choice but to act like those dersire-chasing people and only act like yourself when you are in your own home. Thankfully, I believe in God, Heaven and Hell. It gives me hope to think Heaven exists and once I die and go to my grave, I would achieve all that which I couldn't obtain in this life but hold grasp it in the after-life and whislt also believing Hell will be the abode of the desire-chasing people who were spreading (causing) and supporting corruption.
Dude, chill. You stopped playing the game because they used the female characters as fan service, I would love to live in your world were that's a freaking big thing. I now what it's like to see a cast of video games characters as a family (for me it's Kingdom Hearts) but I'm not gonna throw a temper tantrum just because one character is used for dan service. Aile from Mega Man ZX isn't any less of an awesome character just because in ZX Advent she was used for some fan service, because she's an amazing fighter and my favorite boss in that game. I think the game still have alot of problems that it is not ready to release to other country yet
It's a first launch. They use it to iron out the game, fix some eventual bug or balance issues and take player feedback into account, before releasing it in Japan, EU or the US.
It would'nt be the first time a mobile game does this.
