The HyperX Quadcast S microphone includes a number of nice features that make it stand out from the usual microphones out there. This includes:

Just purchased this mic for cyber Monday sale. Very excited and glad I went with the S model since I have countless usb-c cables I don't have to worry about going out and buying different length mini usb cables to figure out which one works best for my setup.
Is it worth it to spend the extra like 160$? I'm between the two but I don't want to spend the extra money if it doesn't improve quality all that much.

I've been weighting which one I should get and the USB-C port was probably the deciding factor for me, even though the Quadcast S is more expensive.
USB Mini has its uses, but USB-C gives you more options what you can do with the Mic.

I got my QC-S on Christmas and today I got a Wistream boom arm 200. It’s not Rode level quality but it’s really nice. QC-S fits on it like a glove!
I’ve been looking to get this mic as I remember seeing videos about it a while ago, and recently some of my friends have recommended me to get the hyperx quadcast mic. I’m definitely setting my eyes to get the black and red one as it’s in my favorite color scheme, and it just looks nice. Oh and the functions the mics have are nice, love the built in shock mount and pop filter it has, and the way the volume gain adjustment looks and works is nice. After watching your video, I’m definitely gonna get myself the hyperx quadcast mic, i love it and hope to utilize it a lot once I buy it

I like the s version because being able to use any cable i currently have and the reliability of type c...ive seen to many mini usb ports fail. Being able to turn off all the rgb and not have the red pop filter makes subtle when needed
I'm a technician, and I can say you have in that case simply been lucky, or unlucky depending on how you see things, but, usb-c is the most unreliable cable in the tech industry atm becuse it's intended for multipurpose use and a 360 degree usage which becomes faulty within a unreasonably short period of time.

In the US, the S was 160 and the regular was 90 US dollars.. so i bought the regular

Great review and another question for you. A lot of people have said that the Hyper X is too light for the Blue compass mount and makes this mount the wrong choice as it keeps the mount from staying in place no matter how much your adjust the tension.
I personally love the look of this mount and was wondering what your opinion is of this combo?
They are wrong. As you can see I used it. What most people don't know is there's an adjustment screw hidden in the base of the boom arm that lets you tighten it up. And stops it from moving in ways you don't want it to.

Great video addition I would have a question on a part of the hyperx Quadcast microphone what is the name of the part which suspends the microphone on a boom in black mine is broken I also wanted to buy this boom.
You will want the quadcast if you are a gamer who enjoys playing with the lights and with the included boombox, no unnecessary sounds. Although the blue yeti is of course a better sounding mic, without an included shock mount, whenever you touch the mic or the floor, you will get some unnecessary sounds.

Had my blue yeti for nearly 7 years now and it's sadly ran into hardware issues that no software can fix so been looking to get a new USB mic as I much prefer it too just a headset mic and I think this is the best option especially on price! also it looks 100x nicer than the ugly silver yeti I have had on my desk for a long time haha

Hi I have a question, am I able to use a USB headset AND this mic? Like would I still be able to hear gameplay sound while using the mic (even though I’m not using a headphone with an audio jack)?

how did you get the quadcast s to work with the compass? mine is too light and it won't work with it.
On the bottom of the compass (the bit that attaches to the clamp on your desk) there's a screw. Tighten it. That adjusts the tension for the whole thing

There are cheaper boom arms but I'm not aware of any I'd recommend. I've not tried a lot I'm afraid.

Yes, it's better on a boom arm as closer to you means you can lower the gain and pick up less background noise.
