My dad served his time at Hunslet, on nights, machining the wheel castings ready for the tyres on these ( the full size Obviously). Great to see this. what a wonderful piece of history! Oh for a big Garden, and enough money....
Does anyone esle think this loco looks too small for a quarry hunslet running on 5" track? The Hunslet engines ran on narrow gauge track.This model in this size makes it look as though it was made to run on standard gauge,if it was a narrow gauge loco model it would be twice the size as it would have run on 2 foot gauge.
