- CHMPRSV 3-1 12kV 95-240, special customized version, transition joint from 3-core belted paper cable to XLPE 1 core cables, installation video, this video will never replace the working instruction delivered within in the products, still a certain amount of old cables are placed underground and are still in usage, replacements or maintenance will normally not made with paper cables, due to not that many manufacturer of the former paper cables, so therefore XLPW cables will be taken, that’s why the joints are called transition joints, because there is a transition from one type to the other type of cable, in addition are paper cables filled in the paper insulation with a liquid insulation oil, means transition means also sealing and a barrier of the oil in the paper to the XPLE side.

Sorry meant to say sleevings and heat shrinks and wrappings, it makes the old sheathing look inferior, but to honest I can't stop watching these clips there so good

thanks for the compliment! :)
Accessories and in special regards connections (joints) are rebuilding the cable function. These very old paper oil filled cables are switched into the function of a standard radial controlled cable and then easily connected to the XLPE cable.
