very well observed and analyzed.
The black tubing below the termination has no anti tracking properties and is just protecting and sealing the breakout fingers and tail lengths. Below the termination a definite ground potential is needed to guide possible surface currents to ground.

Why do i always see torches used for the shrinkwrap. Wouldn't a heatgun be more controllable with regards to scorching and temperature in general?
Hello Leslie,
both tools (torches and heat gun) are suitable for use on heat shrinking tubes. But torches in particular contribute more energy than heat guns. The tubes themselves are designed to withstand certain temperatures when used correctly. It is important to move always around the tube, so that a evenly distributed wall thickness will be achieved without surface burnings.

das ist richtig :) Unsere Videos sollen unseren Kunden als zusätzliche Montagehilfe dienen. Die Praxis im Kabelgraben sieht natürlich anders aus. Aber durch unsere Videos hoffen wir, allfällige Fragen schon vorab klären zu können, einzelne Montageschritte bereits detailliert aufzuzeigen und so die Installation im Graben ein wenig zu erleichtern.
