The 2002 series was my first serious exposure to the He-Man universe and Man-at-Arms was one of my favorite characters in the show. Watching the original show from the 80s made me appreciate his character even more as a mentor and father figure. They had a good message with adoptive parent caring for children that aren’t their own that I think they could have kept.
No, if you really followed the 2002 series. you will notice that the wounded soldier that the sorceress fell in love with was FISTO. He said it himself when he talked with Teela and argued with man at arms. During the great unrest, there was a big battle I got injured and then I don't really remember anything.. Plus remember that during the time that the sorceress took care of the soldier, you never truly see his right hand. It's under the hay, highly and thickly bandaged. And then someday, the Soldier just left with no notice. Man at Arms was never Teela's father. FISTO WAS! Check the stories, you will see that the logic is there. They just created another story for the Revelation series that doesn't fit at all with the 2002 series. Cause fisto was the supposed DESERTER!!! Man at Arms says. How can Man at Arms be her father and fight in the Great Unrest while never leaving. The one who never returned to battle was Fisto!
And yet the design of the soldier esp the face and chin is clearly Duncans..and Fitso mentioned that Duncan also went missing during The Great Unrest so the writers were playing up both men as Teela potential biological father but when you add in that conversation between the Sorceress and Duncan at the end of the episode..well it made it pretty clear that he is the father..the writers bookended that conversation for a reason which is to wink wink, confirm who truly fathered Teela.
@@shootingreal5945 I'll give you that. The large chin the mouth looks like Duncan's. It's true. But remove that large beard and mustache and headband? A play on the eyes. It doesn't change the fact that Duncan was never severely injured during The great unrest, Fisto was. Duncan never spoke of a time of laps of memory in any story at all, Fisto did. Plus, honestly as a story writer (not me the He man people I mean). What better way to make Teela's true father story appear than that. Fisto goes through a Big battle, he got severely injured & then he doesn't really remember anything else after that. He has no idea what happened. Then after all this time he disappears, then Duncan calls him Nothing but a Deserter! The story fits. But thanks for writing back. It's been fun debating this!
@@shootingreal5945 It was mentioned had the 200x series continued, it was going to be revealed Fisto was Teela's father. Also, Duncan was going to permanently turn into a snake man and work for HISS before being killed by Clamp Champ.
@cheeseburger12 I would ve surprised if that was a red herring to throw ppl off in a bait and switch..there definitely seem like there was feelings between Duncan and the Sorceress..let's be honest, Fitso doesn't seem like a guy she would fall in love with..man's not to bright, now to be fair may be he was different before his injury but we can only go with what we have as far as Fitso personality.
If He-Man and the good Masters are like The Avengers then Man At Arms is definitely Tony Stark/Iron Man.Even Evil Lynn admitted in the last MOTU Netflix series that if Skeletor wanted to rule Eternia it was Man At Arms they should've been trying to get out the way.I don't know why he hasn't created something like a Iron Man suit yet for himself or someone else.Probably don't want to outshine He-Man on his own show I guess
@@themarlboromandalorian I remember that episode where Skeletor had possessed that one lady in Eternia who had powers and she had something that the Eternians made there weapons out of which was the strongest in Eternia.I think it was Titanium which was Eternias version of Vibranium or the other one in Marvel comments thats in Wolverine.He-Men was the only person who could rip or bend the titanium so yeah Man At Arms would need something even stronger but a army of those things as Iron Man suits would definitely slow him down for a minute
Love this video. I believe that the 200x writers said Fisto was meant as a red herring as they wanted to make it SUPER obvious. Prolly to make the eventual reveal that much more impactful
I guess because in that cartoon he is a very different character than his original counterpart the only thing he really shares is just his name and being an engineer and inventor

Am I the only one who wonders why the Sorceress pretty much only telepathically talks mainly only to He-man and Man at Arms excluding the episode “The Ties That Binds” since it was only because her blood was in Teela do to the blood transfusion, and also neither He-man or Man at Arms have and Telepathic powers?? 🤔
The problem with your man at Arms thing is Fisto is actually to his father and that has always been the fan Theory since the 2000 series The amnesiac Warrior was Fisto. Not man at arms. Not many true fans regard the Kevin Smith travesty as Canon and most used to ignore it as it was not what it was promised

Considering the canonical strength of He-man, Duncan will have to work overtime to do that.

Teelas father was fisto in the 200x show.
That was only implied, not confirmed.
