I still have the 2 volumes of Lankesh’s teekay Tippani. He used to walk in front of our rented house in Hosakerehalli almost every morning around 6:30 am and never had the courage to start a conversation at that age. Like all atheists of India ,Lankesh’s hatred was limited to conservative Hindus. He like many of his fellow atheists didn’t have any issues with conservatives from other religions. That’s the difference between them and one I found in Western countries. Western Atheist like Christopher Hutchins opposed each and every religion

What he said was true and I have seen it myself many times with houseful board in front of half full theater. This ploy was used by producers of most of the top heroes. Half of Annavara movies failed during 80s and was not a hit to the level it was supposed to be. They did recovered their investment but didn’t make money like his regular blockbusters.
