I hear the story of a girl who was born both blind and deaf. She was placed in a psychiatric hospital, she could not communicate nor eat properly for instance. Everyone is talking about the disabled student (as they should he is a LEGEND) but nobody's talking about how nice the teacher is. She was patient and didn't seem to mind as much as she treated like how a teacher usually would check an exam, despite this being completely different than simply checking papers a student wrote. Respect for these 2!
Back in college, I was also a scribe for children with special abilities. I still remember being assigned to this absolute wonder of a girl called Priya, and we conquered her exams together. We were together for almost a week, and those 3 hours and 20 mins that I spent with her each exam has been some of the most fulfilling aspects of my life ❤️

nah, just because he is deaf blind doesn't inherently make him a genius. just like people being sighted and hearing don't inherently make them geniuses. he might have to navigate the world differently and come up with different strategies, and while that is certainly hard to do sometimes, it doesn't automatically make him better at other things. it's doesn't mean he's not smart, and it doesn't mean that he's smart, it's just the way he is and that's all. he's a normal person, just like everyone else. also, if he did have sharp senses, being deaf blind wouldn't stop him from being a geniuse sorry if this came off as harsh, I didn't mean for it to be. I myself am disabled and I wish to correct the notion that disabled people are brave for literally just existing and living just like anyone else. it's not like we have a choice. and I don't praise abled people for existing, and I don't see a reason to think that disabled people differ from abled people in this way. I had a teacher at our school (just a normal school) that previously used to teach blind, deaf and mentally challenged children including one of our friend's big brother who lost his sight at a young age in an accident and I have mad respect for her and the woman in this video.
this guy is simply impressive & genuinely inspiring, he's proving that despite things outside your control, there still remain actions you can take towards whatever you're facing, and that you're capable of achieving things similarly to others who have more senses available.

This is from Clarke's school in Chennai, India. I was there a few years back as part of a CSR initiative. The teachers there are truly angels and look after the kids with such tender love and care. It was sad to see the school lacked funding despite the managements best efforts.

To me, it is so challenging and impossible to even think about its possibility... like in such cases how do we start teaching, or what goes first, teaching braille or sign language, and how do they link both means of communication.. I had a teacher at our school (just a normal school) that previously used to teach blind, deaf and mentally challenged children including one of our friend's big brother who lost his sight at a young age in an accident and I have mad respect for her and the woman in this video.

This is from Clarke's school in Chennai, India. I was there a few years back as part of a CSR initiative. The teachers there are truly angels and look after the kids with such tender love and care. It was sad to see the school lacked funding despite the managements best efforts.

We struggling to write normal exams, I cant imagine how difficult writing an exam like this would be.
I really applaud to anyone who can actually do that. To me, it is so challenging and impossible to even think about its possibility... like in such cases how do we start teaching, or what goes first, teaching braille or sign language, and how do they link both means of communication.. You are both doing a tremendous job! I am extremely humbled before such practice and achievement!

I'm telling you we don't call them special people for no reason. Sometimes we can't even remember words that we use in our everyday lives (y'all gotta keep your pride aside and accept this) and these angels remember a massive number of signs and combine them without any mistake to form a perfect sentence. @@aaravshah2223 there are a few types of blindness. I think he is not fully blind, he only can see something super close maybe about 1 cm from his eyes. Of course with such ability he can't even write comfortably on anything.
