this was a fun little podcast! it's very important sometimes to just sit down with your peers and check in with how they get through the day bc sometimes this industry is really tough and tiring. Much better when you're not dealing with it on your own!

Part 2 please! I enjoyed this and omg that art... both of you are so cracked!!
I'd love to hear about how to start gauging how much merch to bring if you've never done artist alleys before and how to guess whether fanart or original art might do better at a convention or event! My guess, from watching Tuna, Mualcaina, and other artists' con vlogs, is that the type of attendee depends on the type of event and any concurrent events in the same area? Like how night markets and farmers markets are more likely to gather more general audiences vs the dedicated fanart fans of anime-focused conventions? This seems like a factor in figuring out which events your art would succeed at, but I've only just started thinking about it so more insight would be great!

You guys mentioned an artist alley discord - does anyone here happen to know how I can find it/what the name of it is? Great vid by the way, your channel in general has been immensely helpful - thanks for creating such available resources for everyone through these transparent vids!

don't think I've gotten to that part yet, but they might be talking about the Artist Alley Network International Discord! AANI currently has a carrd site with a link and info on how to apply to get in!

@@4tarobyte Turns out there's a more private discord for specifically BC artists, I reached out to Lisa LaRose and she let me into it! It's called Vancity Art Life
