Congrats! I just discovered that channel so I am watching few videos per days - when I today watched this one my first thought was - "Wow, that's some really crazy distortion, almost looks like she is pregnant XD" ... -_-" Anyway congratulation once again! :)
Dude, You're gonna have a baby! Congrats for You two! And please keep making videos with the A6000, I just bought mine and still learning how to use it!
The picture at 5:01 looks amazing, even if it's a portrait! Kind of unique lens. In some scenarios the distortions is ok, but in some it's so much! But it's a fisheye so... It works.
Very natural colors for that price, beautiful shots in daylight, not much in lowlight. Nice bokeh in macro. I like the thing that you not have to take care about the focusing. Nice video as always!
Mostly when a RUclipsr says let's turn X into Y with Z accessorie and then you check the price it's almost the same or higher then the Y product. But this is a nice deal!
I was waiting for you to take a selfie or vlog with it but then the video ended lols, looks better than expected,I think that lens it built for instagram 😂
TechnologyMafia, I love your videos and find your reviews very useful. I focus more on video than I do photos and would love it if you could do a video review of the Rokinon/Samyang 21mm T1.5 cine lens! Or if not, maybe do a review on the best fine lenses? Thanks for the videos you do!
If you are looking for the wide field of view but not the fish eye effect the LAOWA 9mm Zero D is a much better option, it has the same min focus distance and has no distortion, plus you can add filters to it, and it gives practically the same field of view, it's approximately 108degrees vs 115degrees. Much more expensive though
I got it since february 14th.... Dat lens was my valentines gift lol... I really luv the 7.5mm f2. 8 the easiest manual lens than I've tested" viewtiful" perspective...
Wooo excellent, my friend talks to me using this lens on the sony a6400, inside a waterproof case, to photograph surfing, I know that it is manual focus, adjusting the ring to infinity, would I have the photos in focus, or would such a task be impossible?
Review suggestion: sony 18-200 for APS-C. I have noticed there are 3 of them. I would be interested in knowing more about the SEL18200LE, vs. 18-135 in particular. There very few reviews of them, but they do are on sale in big shops. There is also a Tamron 18-200 for sony APS-C, but looks plastic fragile. thanks for all the good reviews and fun!
Do you think the price diference makes it more duable than Samyang (Rokinon) 8mm 2.8 Mark II? Edit: Errr.... Hi there! (And all that :) Sorry to be so direct)
So you took the sample photo's on your a6500. What is the difference in the quality when using a a6000 instead. I assume that the 6500 is better or even full frame, so the assessment of quality isn't done completely correct. Overall good review but I'm missing the a6000 here.
I use my GoProHero Black7 all the time (for 2 years now) for a very particular setup: I mount it (fixed on a tripod) and put it on the ground next to me and my partner doing our partner-acrobatics-tricks. I am new to mirrorless photography/APS-C camera world. But is it safe to say or assume that if I replace my current GoPro setup with the a6400 & this fisheye lens (presuming I get a similar/comparable width of viewing angle), that the image quality in general will actually be better (or dramatically better?) than my GoPro Hero Black7 ??? A most sincere THANK YOU to anyone who can help me answer this question!!! It is very important question to me right now as I am on the fence about pulling the trigger to buy a camera right now.
I agree, the Samyang / Rokinon is a fantastic little lens. Even smaller than this 7artisans, and probably a lot sharper. One of my favourite APS-C E-mount lenses.
Hello arthur, I have 16mm lens on crop (apc) body, if i will buy 7Artisans 7.5mm, will I get the wider picture after profile correction? What you think? I want to use 7Artisans 7.5mm lens for real estate.
Hello, I have just got a 7.5 mm fisheyelens for sony aps-c e mount from Amazon. I am very happy with the lens, but I found that I cannot get a sharp focus, at distances beyond a few meters. The lens focuses very well at short distances but beyond some distance of about 3-4 meters, I am already at infinity with the focusing ring and cannot turn it more, to achieve sharpnes at longer distances. Do you think this is an issue with my copy only, or is it the same with your and all other same model lenses? Will be glad to hear what you think. Thank you, Lior
I never do video. IF this lens is better for video than still, and I have a 6300 and never took video, looking for advise from anyone of "best" video seeting for first timer. Dont know if this fisheye even with low price is for me. I also have the 18-105 f/4 and a few E primes. Rok. 12 f/2, Sigma 19 2.8, Sony 35 1.8, Sony 50 1.8, Sigm 60 2.8 Thanks,
Steven Newman not sure if you got your questions answered but it seems like you already have a strong set of lenses/tools! Some tips are to use XAVC format. 24 FPS for low light, 60fps for all other uses just in case you will turn it into slow motion. Always try to capture steady footage, ie tripod or standing. Movement is always great for video capture but requires technique and practice if you’re doing it without a gimbal
Dionamuh, did you tried it? Im trying to decide between that lens, and this one here. I think Rokinon would be better option, even being more expensive-
Can you set IBIS on A6500 to this focal length? If so, does it make any difference? I can't find any information about what range of FL is supported on A6500.
MIL 93 one of the biggest drawbacks of the Sony alpha line. No 180 degree articulating screen. Only work around is to get an external monitor. You can also connect it to your phone via WiFi to compose shots. Otherwise, just guesstimate with a wide lens
@@Akkie2k I think the main advantages of 6300 over 6000 is the flat color profiles for color grading. If you've never color graded before, it is not easy! I think it has more focus points so the auto-focus is a bit stronger. It might have a mic input? not sure. The 6500 has a touch screen and IBIS. I'm happy with my 6000 right now. Its more about content and editing ability then camera for me
The most famous a6000 on YT right there.
Congratulations for You and Your Wife ! :)

Do you know what the focal length equivalent is when the distortion is corrected? Thanks for the video!
@@epion33 usually 50mm and above. Distortion is pretty low in that focal range which is due to compression and perfect for portraits.
I bought this because of this review.
Just bought this one yesterday.its pocket friendly, sharpness you cant complain abt and most important is it's a fun lens!
Mostly when a RUclipsr says let's turn X into Y with Z accessorie and then you check the price it's almost the same or higher then the Y product. But this is a nice deal!
Just got this lens today because of this video. Thanks!
Nice review! That lens is on my own bucket list! Do the photos get sharper at high aperture levels?
I love this lens, also great for travel & vlog videos. great for timelapse & astrophotography thank you for the great review bro!.
I see today in Amazon Spain an incredible 116€ !.
Ordered one :-)
...remember that minimum focus is about 2 inch!
Any chance of a review of a 70-200mm f2.8 lens? Thanks.
Keep up the great work man, you're the best resource for Sony APS-C lenses period.
what is it the music playing on 4:13 second? this is perfect music. i wanna know what' s the music?
Quite a bit late but it's Come back home - Sappheiros & Eunoia & Deguess
Would you make a review of the Feiyu-Tech G6 Plus ? It's a great gimbal for the price!
Had this thing our on a stag do and am absolutely, utterly amused by how the shots turned out. The wonky distortion is perfect for this type of shots.
I was waiting for you to take a selfie or vlog with it but then the video ended lols, looks better than expected,I think that lens it built for instagram 😂
I bought one but mine had a metal lens cap and a chrome looking lens mount. Very happy with it. Great review.
FYI, this lense now comes in a white box and a solid metal (non-bendable) lense cap. Great review on a great lense!
Congrats for getting a little TechnologyMafiosi! (or is just the fisheye lens, that your girlfriend let look like this?)

I liked your review so much I bought the lens. I never shot with a fisheye before. I can't wait. Looks like a fun lens.

As always thank you for this Arthur, what do you think, please about the 1000nd filter 7artisans? thanks, Max
Thanks for this Review, i'd Order Now

there was a video
I did end up finding it , not long enough though haha but just went for this lense . Waiting for it to arrive
Did you make any attempts to correct for barrel distortion in post?
would be nice to see a comparison between this one and the Pergear, they seem to have identical specs and price.
did you test stop down sharpness?
Many thanks
Image quality looks great.
going to buy this for my big bros Olymps OM-D E10ii... he can learn how to correct the angles in the video with after effects!
Thanks for your review .Would this lens work for making panorama images? For example to stitch multiple images into a 360 panorama?
im using this fisheye lens on my eos M50 set to infinity for point and shoot stuff it actually isnt half bad !
I hope it’s the Zeiss/Sony 55! 😱
Can you test it on a full frame?
Super vidéo ! Est t’il compatible avec un Sony a3000 monture e mount ?
Can you do a comparison on Meike 8MM and The Artisans 7.5mm Field of view? which one is wider? and how much wide is it.

7artisans is a little bit better.

Will you review m42 manual lens as well?
They are cheap, have good quality and easy to use on the a6000.
Contrats, nice review, as usual, thanks
what is the widest lens for APS-Cs sony? for real estate indoor shoots?
what a great lens
Have you tried Samyang/Rokinon 8mm Fisheye? If yes how it compare to Mekie and 7artisans fisheye lenses?

Hi, can you make a review about laowa 9mm F2.8 for sony e mount apsc camera? I think that would be great! ✌
Hello arthur, I have 16mm lens on crop (apc) body, if i will buy 7Artisans 7.5mm, will I get the wider picture after profile correction? What you think? I want to use 7Artisans 7.5mm lens for real estate.

I want to see an aps c lens that is equivalent to around 11 or 12mm full frame and isnt fish eye... think its possible?
Can you try Laowa 9mm f2.8 Zero-D?
I had this lens for a short while, but the uses for it were minimal so I returned it
just ordered
This really is a GoPro converter for your APSC camera

I have a question. How do you remove the tringle ring with the black plastic thingy for the camera strap?
Rotary FD take the black plastic part off first (with a bit of force). Then the ring comes off just like a ring that holds keys
Hey TechnologyMafia, which lens do you prefer: Sigma 30mm f1.4 or Sigma 16mm f1.4? Thanks in advance!
1 kenny he has mentioned the 16m is his fav. He also really likes the Sony 35mm
Why you don't use your a6500
Beautiful dude!! can this mount on an A6500 ?!?! :O
Of course it can. I would also definitely consider the Samyang / Rokinon 8mm f2.8 II fisheye lens, it's great!
Dionamuh, did you tried it? Im trying to decide between that lens, and this one here. I think Rokinon would be better option, even being more expensive-
Why did you take the pictures with a6500, review was all about a6000....
you know Arthur R you look like Alfredo Linguini and sound like him as well
As a wide angle, mostly for travel vlogs, would this be better or 7 artisans 12mm?
Based on focal length alone, I’d suggest the 12mm because you won’t have AS much distortion and it’ll be a good field of view.
You can correct distortion with fisheye effect with negative parameter in post.
Can you set IBIS on A6500 to this focal length? If so, does it make any difference? I can't find any information about what range of FL is supported on A6500.
Okay, If someone was also wondering - You can set IBIS on A6500 as wide as 8mm, so it's pretty close.
Thank you. After i see this movie, I buy 7.5mm lens.
Wow..very nice
Hi, do you use something to rig the a6000? Because I would like to have a screen to do vlogs videos but unfortunately the original one isn't tilting
